Hey Sean, I'm thinking about buying a Capra Elite with BF sale discounts coming up, going to be my second bike, first bike was a Medium 2018 Pivot Mach 6 (440m reach) but only used 2 times before had to sell and now here I am 4 months later wishing that I kept it till next summer', so now looking for my next 2021 UK summer bike. So after what you said about the dropper not being long enough on the medium I am wondering if I should go Large or chance buying Medium. I'm 5.9 with a 30 inch inseam, So I would like to know what you think Sean ?
Don’t worry about the dropper. Maybe think about it this way- if you will pedal more, get a medium. If you will ride the lift at the bike more, go large. You would be good on either but I find that the medium is way more fun to pedal around on trails but if I were to ride at the park more, I would want a large as the bigger size feels better at bike park speeds. Lastly, you could sell the dropper from this bike or even maybe your LBS would switch you. Note that I have a 32 inseam so I moved to the 150mm. When my son with a 29 inch inseam rides it, we put the 125mm back in. Connect on IG if you want to chat more. Just a few hours until tome for you to buy! @kingsbaby
Hugos MTB have you had a chance to ride one? I think the reach may be a bit long for you on an XL. It is intended for people 6’ and taller. This just means that you may be a bit forward on the bike when climbing and may struggle to get front wheel traction in climbs. A larger bike is fun in the bike park and less fun in climbs. It is always based on personal preference though.
Sean Kingsbury my large kona is 475mm reach and the capras reach is 480mm so not much of an difference there... Watch a few vids on my channel and see how its looks🙃
Would your 150 seat post sit all the way flush with the size medium frame? I am 5’8” and currently running a 125 that came with the bike.
I like to climb and have fun downhill im not a fast rider by any means, would you go with the capra elite or the Izzo launch edition?

Great review! I'm shopping for a bike now, will definitely add YT to the list.
Good choice!
And the Capra can clime much beter than you would think
How come you got a medium at yor height? im 5'10 as well and was wondering if i should stick to their chart or get a medium. Thoughts?
I was looking at getting the comp 29.
I prefer the sportiness of a smaller bike. It is more of a preference than a size chart thing. You would love either and not notice.
where is the unboxing video ????
NICE BRO!!.... which size did you choose??
I went with a Medium
Got a 2017 capra and that shit is FIRE
My bike hasnt even shipped?
Got mine in xl (im 5”10”)
