The drive from St Johns to Gander is VERY nice, goes through the Terra Nova. Boulder fields and those cliffs with the ocean below. Ive been there but currently on the way to the south west for winter - enjoy

I live between two places - Truro and Dartmouth, so I know the areas quite well. And I've done a bit of local travel. You should really try going to Lunenburg for a few days and do a sailing tour of the harbour, it's so fun. They actually let you drive the boat, I got to do it and it's amazing lol.

I visited Cape Breton in the fall. It was magnificent. They hold a Celtic music festival each year. Highly recommended.
