- The golden age of wingsuiting is upon us. Through evolving suit technology the initial inflation time has gone down, which has lead to quicker starts and more exits. Ex-Base jumper here that is semi-paralysed since 2004 before wingsuit and proximity really took off. It hurt me for a long time that I missed jumping some of the classic places like Dolomites and Trollveggan and wingsuit just opened up so many more places and a new way of Base and flying .
It's a dangerous game that has claimed many though and I suspect if I got into it I probably would have been one of them so all I can do is appreciate these jumps and videos like everyone else.
I recall talking with a few of U jumpers when I was running a Base event in China in abt 2012.
That is a beautiful video edit and you guys are clearly cool and still living the dream so big respect for that.

I’d like to see a more technical accompanying video on how routes are planned with parameters like min slope, tricky bits, Bali outs, difficulty levels etc. great show!
Yeah me too. I'm always seeing them cruising down over tree tops or rocks within what looks like a few meters. What if the angle of the land becomes less steep and they can't get above it. Must be very difficult to plan those flights.
Line of sight is a good description.

Im 65 yrs old, why didn't we have this stuff to do when I was young enough to have the balls to fly like that, its not often I seriously wish I had my time again but watching this film makes me wonder whether I would actually be able to do something like this.

Yup same here but a bit younger than u. I did long line parasailing as business when younger and thought I was bad ass, this is another level.... of fitness, training AND of risk

Best BASE jump video I’ve seen. Well done! The emotions and joy this film conveys really bring back great memories of my first BASE jumps, when it was called “fixed object” jumping. First antenna jump was one that Carl Boenish filmed, before he and the Flying Smittys coined the term BASE.
Your proximity flying is something I’ll never experience, but just watching it gives me thrills!! Thanks!!

Good film - not dark and ominous like other wingsuit films
I LOVED THIS FILM. I went to the Dolomites last year over summer for hiking and absolutely fell in love with it. I couldn't imagine how much better it would be zipping around on a wingsuit. You are so lucky you have the courage to follow your dreams and do something like this, and to be alongside best friends. Thanks for the great movie

As a woman I could totally see me doing this back when I was in my 20's, when we all think we are invincible and risk taking is common place. I'm older now and unfortunately too tied down with kids and work and probably too afraid to try something like this. I used to surf and para-sail and rock climb and repelling and loved thrills and THIS looks like flying! OMG it looks like a complete rush, though terrifying. Great video.

This is the most awe inspiring and breathtaking scenery I have ever seen. I cannot imagine the true awe jaw dropping experience you have experienced. I cannot say enough about it. A birdeyes view of the world and unimaginable beauty of land, sky and the experience of jumping off a mountain.

I've been BASE jumping since 2007 and my stomach still turns when I see others on the exit point. Not myself as much, but others for sure.

Unfortunately, very likely to the grave. In a sense they see the "lord". So many of them just die. If you see a video from 2-3 years ago you can be almost certain that at least one, or more, are dead.

I understand the thrill and have respect for your guys passion, the thing is it's not so much "what if this happens" it's just straight up when. Humans were just not meant to fly, so it's just the simplest mistake and that's it. Granted this can happen driving to work or walking your dog, but man this is really gonna be bad and if I were to watch my friend bounce off a 1,500ft rock right in front of me I'm not sure I could handle that? Anywho props to your big whatever you guys have hanging:)

@@nameberry220 ok if you would like to believe that theory that's all good. Dean Potter, Shawn Stanly Leary were 2 wingsuiters to die in a 18mon period out of 50 5/18/2015. Victor Kovats had over 700 flights and 125 skydives @ 40yrs old doing a small jump in Zhangjiajie National Park chute didn't open smeared among the trees and canyon below. Pro Jeb Corliss proximity flying 5/23/2016 smashed his legs across a cliff going not sure how fast, but fast enough that he will never ever forget about it, after almost dying. I could go on and on, but I'm good how about you. All you have to do is a little research on the subject and I'm sure you'll be able to learn all about how many people die each year. So your emotional theory is a little off and like I said before humans just simply weren't meant to be flying around for a good reason we break badly when we fall at speeds over 80mph. And I don't think it would be that much fun watching someone that I care for bounce off a cliff, mountain side, canyon floor, or whatever it may be. It doesn't matter how good you are nobody is perfect, we as humans make mistakes and this is just where you don't have any room for not even a small mistake:)

@@nameberry220 Yes, I know there was a tear in my eye when I stated the last facts, but just to clear the air no I'm not concerned if other people decide they theirselves choose to put themselves in that type of situation. So where I was going is like I stated in the very 1st statement is I understand the thrill that people seek, but there comes a time say after a couple hundred flights that one may think hey maybe I shouldn't push the envelope in this particular way?! Also I was just stating MY OPINION so thank you for yours, but you are out in left field about MY emotional status:) You have yourself a good one. Try not to smack yourself off any cliffs.
The thing is though that these guys know that. Every person in this video has seen friend die in front of them a few times. We are all gonna die anyways they rather have rad fun and live a shorter life then a long boring life. But it can be done a long time to. There are many BASE jumpers out there that have been doing this 40+ years. Sean chuma in this video has over 6 thousand BASE jumps..
