  • In this personal video, I share the details of why I had to make a life changing decision of leaving the UK which has become my home for the past two years and migrating to the United States of America and continue my practise as a registered nurse. I talk about my experiences back in the UK, the wonderful people I met, and how I learned a lot from my experience working as a nurse in the UK. Then I proceed to speak about my experience in the early days of my stay in the US, some surprising things and how it relates to what I was used to back in the UK and some interesting and funny differences between nursing in the UK and nursing in the US. This video is just an overview of my migration to the US and how I am attempting to find my feet in some areas. I believe you find this video engaging and informative and I urge you to leave a comment on what your thoughts are on the topic I speak about. Sit back and enjoy and thank you for watching.

I worked in the UK for a period of 28 months and I have been in the USA since May 2023. In terms of cost of living, I’m comfortable in the US even without picking up extra shifts and in a month, I earn 5 figures salary after taxes and insurance whenever I pick up extra shifts like I was doing In the UK. In the UK, my survival depended on bank shifts - I don’t regret my move.
Overall, this was an excellent video.

      3. Personal experience as a nurse in the US and even

🤣🤣🤣have been laughing for the past 5 days after watching your video and I think I should put down a comment. You have explained everything very perfectly except the fact that you clearly defended your financial illiteracy. You can’t just increase your standard of living and even go beyond it and expect to save money. Maybe first live within your means and be able to save enough then after you can think of what to do with the saved money in order to raise your standard of living. Most nurses in the UK do not even drive a car that would cost them 100pounds a month and you move to US and probably start paying $600 a month for a car eeii🤣.
