I think churches should have an door open to everyone.. There is no one sitting in church that lives a perfect and sinless life, only Christ, so why close the door to anyone? Churches can provide support to people in need, and in community and fellowship, can directly demonstrate the love of God, which is the best kind of witness. The churches and its leaders responsibility is to teach biblically sound doctrine, but to also encourage people to read the Word of God for themselves, and to pray. This is where believers ultimately should look for wisdom, direction and truth - - not what other people who attend the church are doing. We need to look at Jesus, as our example. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if the church doesn't preach a salvation message every Sunday, and even though some might, it is God who convicts by the power of the Holy Spirit. A person can be changed at any time and any day when they, the person, is ready. Somebody just told me a story of someone that went to church for a long time and they were living in chronic sin. They met them many years later and they are doing really good. The person said, "You know, i never understood.. but then one day I just got it." Undoubtedly the work of the Holy Spirit's conviction. I would say it was a good thing that person was allowed to attend church. We don't know why some people take the long way Home and why some people take the short way Home, we have to trust God with people's journeys, and that there is always a purpose, and that He works all things out for good. JMHO
Arneth Productions I agree with you completely. I really respect Rev. Graham but to bar certain people from church because of sin, would be to bar everyone. As he says, we are all sinners. If you lose that opportunity to preach to those who have the need to go to church, I think that is just wrong. How are you going to change anyone, to help anyone, if you won’t include them? That cannot be Christian, it’s just sad. However, I definitely think that the services should be much more respectful and holy, and not like a general community get together. Not enough respect is shown in the Protestant churches today. Some people bring coffees and wear jeans, ugh.

I am so glad for my wonderful church that i go to, and that it is a blessing to me. I have never been in a church that was not reverent, respectful and holy, so I am not quite sure what you have observed? When I was speaking about community and fellowship it is about being in the spirit and being one body during worship, but also having access to bible classes, prayer and counselling, and fun activities during the week. I have never seen anyone bring a coffee to church, I dont know why that makes me laugh, but it does lol. I did have someone next to me sip from a water bottle, just 2 Sundays ago. It was discreet, so it didn't bother me. No smell, no steam .. :) I personally don't mind jeans, or casual clothes.. Our culture has changed and we have to accommodate that, just like the music. Even the pastors are dressing casually now. I actually used to wear jeans all the time a when I went to the Saturday night services. I like to dress up for Sunday but I like it that it is not legalistic and I can wear my jeans if I want to. The more crucial part is that you don't want to wear something that is going to draw attention to yourself, and usually it's women. But again, I have rarely seen that at my church. But if some person came off the street barefoot, I would hope that they would be accepted. At the very core, it's what is in your heart. It always come down to that, which is why it is difficult to judge people and their salvation and /or their salvation journey because only God knows... It's not to say we cannot discern or speak out in love, but there is a point where we have to know where to leave it. If that makes sense? You can dress to the nines and look holy, but have no relationship with Jesus, so to me dress code does no necessarily equal respect. Some people just may not know better. Sanctification is on going throughout life and it's always nice when someone can advise us in love. So in everything there must be a balance.

They are supposed to guide & direct their flock as to the rights & wrongs of life & to stay true to God's commandments, but trouble is that they're too spineless & cowardly to preach the TRUTH! As you say to preach that the gay lifestyle is wrong. Abortion is wrong. Transgender is wrong. Love the sinner - hate the sin. We need more brave preachers like you Pastor Graham. God Bless you.

I think churches should have an door open to everyone.. There is no one sitting in church that lives a perfect and sinless life, only Christ, so why close the door to anyone? Churches can provide support to people in need, and in community and fellowship, can directly demonstrate the love of God, which is the best kind of witness. The churches and its leaders responsibility is to teach biblically sound doctrine, but to also encourage people to read the Word of God for themselves, and to pray. This is where believers ultimately should look for wisdom, direction and truth - - not what other people who attend the church are doing. We need to look at Jesus, as our example. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if the church doesn't preach a salvation message every Sunday, and even though some might, it is God who convicts by the power of the Holy Spirit. A person can be changed at any time and any day when they, the person, is ready. Somebody just told me a story of someone that went to church for a long time and they were living in chronic sin. They met them many years later and they are doing really good. The person said, "You know, i never understood.. but then one day I just got it." Undoubtedly the work of the Holy Spirit's conviction. I would say it was a good thing that person was allowed to attend church. We don't know why some people take the long way Home and why some people take the short way Home, we have to trust God with people's journeys, and that there is always a purpose, and that He works all things out for good. Arneth Productions I agree with you completely. I really respect Rev. Graham but to bar certain people from church because of sin, would be to bar everyone. As he says, we are all sinners. If you lose that opportunity to preach to those who have the need to go to church, I think that is just wrong. How are you going to change anyone, to help anyone, if you won’t include them? That cannot be Christian, it’s just sad. However, I definitely think that the services should be much more respectful and holy, and not like a general community get together. Not enough respect is shown in the Protestant churches today. Some people bring coffees and wear jeans, ugh.
@@maxineboxer9714 We are in harmony then, I agree, and to be honest, I was completely shocked, and still am that Rev. Graham actually said this.. I am so glad for my wonderful church that i go to, and that it is a blessing to me. I have never been in a church that was not reverent, respectful and holy, so I am not quite sure what you have observed? When I was speaking about community and fellowship it is about being in the spirit and being one body during worship, but also having access to bible classes, prayer and counselling, and fun activities during the week. I have never seen anyone bring a coffee to church, I dont know why that makes me laugh, but it does lol. I did have someone next to me sip from a water bottle, just 2 Sundays ago. It was discreet, so it didn't bother me. No smell, no steam .. :) I personally don't mind jeans, or casual clothes.. Our culture has changed and we have to accommodate that, just like the music. Even the pastors are dressing casually now. I actually used to wear jeans all the time a when I went to the Saturday night services. I like to dress up for Sunday but I like it that it is not legalistic and I can wear my jeans if I want to. The more crucial part is that you don't want to wear something that is going to draw attention to yourself, and usually it's women. But again, I have rarely seen that at my church. But if some person came off the street barefoot, I would hope that they would be accepted. At the very core, it's what is in your heart. It always come down to that, which is why it is difficult to judge people and their salvation and /or their salvation journey because only God knows... It's not to say we cannot discern or speak out in love, but there is a point where we have to know where to leave it. If that makes sense? You can dress to the nines and look holy, but have no relationship with Jesus, so to me dress code does no necessarily equal respect. Some people just may not know better. Sanctification is on going throughout life and it's always nice when someone can advise us in love. So in everything there must be a balance.

I hve lost respect for this man. The catholics did not persecute the smaller man-made 'churches'.9 Anglicanism did not even exist until the 1850s. Up to then from Elizabeth 1's time it was rabidly protestant then changed to be outwardly catholic but inwardly protestant and started calling itself Anglican and the "reformed" Catholic Church. Cromwell had all the altars smashed, etc, stole the lands for himself and his cohorts, then in 1850s they were all put back in the stolen catholic churches. They copied Catholic robes and the Mass. Before that they wore white robes with a black tri-corner hat! BUT Article 31 of the 39 Articles says "The Masses for the living and the dead are a blasphemous fable and a deceit". The Anglican 'mass' is false! Please read The History of the Catholic Church - from the catholic viewpoint. Luther actually came back to the catholic church and died a catholic reconciled with the Church. Read Catholicism v Fundamentalism, by Karl Keating. The Bible is a catholic book given to the world by the catholic church in the 4th century. Now over 40,000 protestant 'churches', all 'man-made', except for a few 'woman-made' 'churches' ie Mary Baker Eddy to name but one. Ask Google who made your 'church'? Pray for Mr Graham that he will find the whole truth in the Catholic Truth. No doubt he is a good man but so misinformed by corrupted protestant teaching of the true Church.
