That’s what happened to me I was a democrat all my life and I saw the party starting to change I’m a born-again Christian and a minister and my values and the values of the democratics system did not coincide anymore

When any group declares itself the only real and true Americans and Christians, they’re setting themselves up for a fall. (Matthew 23:12). The real people of God follow the instructions found in II Chronicles 7:14.

Personally, all politics is as far away from faith as you can get. Sometimes politicians like to act as if they are God. Certainly, they often judge. No party reflect my faith in God. I will render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, I tolerate the government. I don't believe in killing babies. I don't believe in starving children. Well bless the Lord, oh my soul! Here I am thinking God sent JESUS, the only begotten son of God full of grace and truth to save all sinful man-not just western civilization. I’m redeemed by the blood of Jesus, not a politician. I’m fully aware that we are to respect our leaders and pray for them and I do. But it’s a sin to turn a blind eye to any leader’s wrong doing. When leaders disobey God (Saul) or set themselves up as God (Sennacherib - Isaiah Chapters 36 and 37), God himself deals with them.
It was religious leaders, lawyers, and politicians who plotted, planned and carried out the the Lord’s crucifixion (It’s in all 4 gospels). Politician’s are elected to serve the people, not to save us. That goes for Republicans and Democrats. When any group declares itself the only real and true Americans and Christians, they’re setting themselves up for a fall. (Matthew 23:12). The real people of God follow the instructions found in II Chronicles 7:14.
