It's not even possible for him to remove the helmet, if I remember correctly the entire suit is grafted to his flesh.
So technically it fits as to why they didn't give us a sam witwer headsculpt.
Though most likely, they're just copping out.

I believe the first iteration of the Lord Star Killer armor was grafted to his body but I think he might have upgraded it at some point to where certain parts of him were actually more like a suit that he could remove if he wanted to, I might be wrong though I haven't exactly read up on the Star Killer lore recently lol

I think the reason they didn't incorporate Sam's head sculpt is because under that armour starkiller is like all mashed up and missing his jaw. If I remember rightly from one of the DLC packs from the game.
Yeah, Palps drops Starkiller's ship on him in the Dark Side ending and was rebuilt.

Honestly, I really like the Sith Stalker armor and glad they come out it. Why 1 LED saber? because he only uses 1 saber in the game. His clone uses 2, but Lord Starkiller is not a clone. Now I can hope for an 6inch black series version... I can only dream
If they're packing him with 2 sabers they both need to be LED otherwise just give him 1 of each
I love this! The Force Unleashed is my favorite Star Wars game, and the Dark Side ending with Galen becoming Lord Starkiller and taking Luke as his apprentice was such a cool what if story.

Excellent figure preview! Reminds me of the glory days of Star Wars and Lucasarts. In the game it says that this costume was designed based on Vader. Having Vader and Starkiller on the shelf together will be one of the most interesting pairings!

The only pose that would work with the one powered lightsaber is if you have his other hand doing a force push but even then we’ve seen people do it with sabers in hand. This figure still looks awesome! I’d love a Starkiller with different blade attachments for all the colors in-game

The best part about this drop (and Darth Revan).... it opens up some other amazing comics, books, legends and video game characters for Hot Toys to create.

I think the headsculpt would look more like Darth Vader than it would be your typical Starkiller if we got a sculpt considering the lore behind the armor, that might be the reason why they chose not to make it. Second thing is, sure both lightsabers not being USB powered is weird, BUT to be fair he did only use one lightsaber in the first game, it is still a weird choice tho.

I was so surprised by this release that I thought it wasn’t actually hot toys I had to look twice. I do agree I wish they made a headsculpt. Looks like a cool figure though and as always thanks for the great previews Justin👍👍👍

A force lightning piece for shooting out of one of his hands would of been a nice accessory for him honestly. Nevertheless they nailed this one!

There are several other cool variants from the game that would be cool…including Galen himself. I am concerned about that pleather cracking and peeling in time, though. Yes…I do know about the spray protectant.

I'm trying not to expand my star wars side of the collection beyond named Mandalorians but I did make an exception for Vader and Revan. Will most likely get Baylon and Shin as well. But when it comes to Starkiller, he's no longer canon so Idk

the one powered lightsaber makes sense because in the actual game he only has ONE lightsaber, in the second game where starkiller is a jedi and not in this outfit he uses two blue sabers (by default)

Hey Justin, will you most likely display both Lord Starkiller and Darth Revan in your Star Wars Shelf or Video Game Shelf?
That is an excellent question...maybe I need to make a legends shelf!
I think they're going with Lord Starkiller first to gauge interest: He's probably the most obscure out of Starkiller's mainline variants. My guess is that if this sells super well, HT will know to an absolute certainty that the other versions will also sell.
Presuming this does well we'll probably get a standard Starkiller (Deluxe version will include parts to turn him into the heavy and light variants from Raxus Prime and Felucia, respectively) and they'll probably do a Jedi adventure robe variant as an exclusive if I had to guess. I PO'd this one (My first pre-order for one of these given the time to actually get it in hand) and I can safely say each of those would be an immediate pre-order for me. Fingers cross this does well and we do get more.
Edit: Also, the reason a Sam Witwer headsculpt wasn't included is because this variant never saw him w/o the helmet. Technically they did in the Coruscant DLC mission, but that's so obscure I can't see a reason they'd include it here given this specific version was never seen without the helmet.

@@JustinsCollection Probably. Although the non USB extra saber is the one he uses throughout the game except for when he gets this outfit. It's like they are just inviting custom Starkillers to be made.

While yes it would have been nice for them to include a Sam Witwer head sculpt it wouldn't have been entirely accurate to this specific version of Star Killer because we never see an unhelmeted Lord Star Killer in the DLCs, we only get 2 different outfits! The one he wore during his time on Tatooine(which looked very similar to a Tusken Raider) and the one he wore while attacking Hoth. All in all this is a very cool look for Star Killer and I am VERY tempted to save up some cash to buy one for myself because I adored playing those DLCs!!!!

weird that hot toys decided to go for this look for starkiller and not classic look, I think they may not have the image rights of Sam Witwer and that is why they decide to go for this look, however it looks awesome, hope that hot toys keep giving us characters from legends , darth plagueis and darth bane are another characters I always wanted to have in hot toys, hope they release them someday

Yeah the “canon” version of sith lord starkiller only used one lightsaber with his trophies on his belt (his original, vaders, kotas, mauls, and kazdan paratus tip of his saber staff.) you were able to use the sith lord outfit in forced unleashed 2 but he would hold the clone lightsabers which look totally different. So the display got it wrong. Hope this helps with the review super excited!

@@JustinsCollection yep! He never used the trophies on his bet. He only used one lightsaber (the spikey one) and that suit was originally from the Hoth dlc of the 1st game. 1st game one lightsaber, 2nd two lightsabers. Hope that makes sense those games were my childhood!
No headsculp makes kinda sense as he was never shown in the alternate storyline without it, being heavily disfigured and all. Also yeah find it weird that no 2nd LED lightsaber but then again he didn’t wield 2 lightsabers. Only his clone in the 2nd game wielded 2 lightsabers and one of the DLC outfits was this but nothing more beyond that.

Sam Witwers likeness may be used in a different way going forward in star wars lore/media. Which is probably why they never sculpted him

Even if he did have an interchangeable head, I doubt it’d look much like Sam Witwer. With how mangled and disfigured Starkiller was by the time he wore this armour, he’d honestly look more like a jawless, bleached zombie than an actual person, and that also assuming he could actually take the helmet off without immediately dying.

Oddly enough, I'm going to skip out on him. I love this look but I would rather have Apprentice Starkiller. This Starkiller only uses one lightsaber in the first game and DLC. That's probably why Hot Toys is only giving us one cord saber.

He only wielded 1 lightsaber in the first game, and we never saw his presumed damaged face under the helmet. I mean the emperor did smash him with a ship.

The reason they chose this variant is because he’s apart of the lords of the dark sides event from hot toys. Regular Starkiller wasn’t a lord of the dark side until the dlc. The reason he doesn’t include a head sculpt is because his face as a lord is absolutely mutilated and disfigured. The player never gets to see lord Starkillers face
What about chrome Cody and chrome clone trooper. They can make whatever they like really
