I check FlightRadar to see how high similar flights cruise and decide accordingly. 😅 Not really a scientific method but good enough for me. With the Airbus A320 family I basically always go for FL350 or FL360 depending on the direction, or lower if it's a really short route. As far as I see it's usually the case over Europe.
Thanks for the video. I was wondering when you actually make the decision to fly at higher FL from the one planned in OFP. Is it during the climb phase until you reach originally planned FL?
Hi, it's during climb (typically once above FL100 as you're focussing on other stuff at low altitudes) and then continiously during the flight. You are constantly monitoring your flight and re-evaluating.
Do you know how much more precise, if any at all, PFPX is compared with Simbrief, when it comes to planning out flightlevels and routes? I have heard rumours that it is still the closest thing simmers can have to the software real dispatchers use.
İf theres no turbulance and theres no request from atc. , I would certainly prefer to stay at 350…. Theres a huge difference in terms of the radiation you take above FL 300….stay low my friend ;)

Morgen ! Very interesting :) Danke
Question is on point, I was wondering how....Thanks a lot.
"former" boeing 737 pilot 🥲
I know, when he said it it kinda hurt
Sold his soul and moving to an Airbus!!! Lol

Shouldn't we also adjust pressurization height on the overhead panel?

I use flightAware to replicate routes and use the cruise alt posted. sorry I cheat. :) ya, ya, i know, my fuel, payload and weather are different.
Hey, thx for this instructive video, but do we have to change crz level on the pressurisation panel ?

The "former" 737 Pilot makes me a bit sad :(
What do U think he’s gonna fly next???? I Hope a 787 ❤
@@hishamhassan6426 It will be a A330 😀
3:00 you said 57.9 tonnes when it should be 59.7 tonnes. Just sayin. 😃
Former :*((
