- Full version of my 2.9l vr6 turbo build to a little street action......Last footage as the car was parted out...
SETUP: fully forged 2.9 block,288 cams,Bw s369 turbo and controlled by wolf v500 standalone....Built and fabricated by me...Tuned by WayneSpeed

From the comments it says this car was shortly later parted out! I’m not a big fan of vw’s nor jettas but love the VR6 . Have to say this was the best looking Jetta I ever seen. Real shame he gave up on it and parted it out.

yo king, da ride deh did maaad. jus done partially rebuild my 24v and new clutch and a used transmission not the greatest. did a valeo clutch and single mast fly wheel conversion too.
considering turbo but not sure as my 300z31 is already a turbo car.

If you can, please post a rough parts list .. It would help me greatly. I'm building a 12 valve vr6 for auto cross! I want to keep it N/A for now. But by stripping weight, like the a/c compressor and heater unit ... With the mods you did .. Boring to a 2.9l .it's the best sounding VR6 I've heard!

Looks like you was running the car without the oil feed or coolant line to the turbo?
Oil feed only,no coolant to these turbos

After putting head spacer how did u achieve a correct timing belt please i need a help with my car
This particular build didn’t have a headspacer as i had low compression pistons however when i do use a headspacer i never had a problem with the timing

i really appreciate your reply i have one more question i have a secondary air injection pump am planning to delete it because its in the way of schimmel intake manifold vacum fittings but am afraid that i will have a check engine light what did you do on yours?

do you have any recomendations about an after marker short shifter for a jetta vr6
Having issue with my 12v turbo, was running great but now builds to about 5 psi and breaks up .... sputters. any thoughts ? Thinking may be coil pack. Runs good under vacuum. Running c2 motor sports tune.
Well disregard that comment lol. Charge pipe and clamp came lose after last " spirited " drive.

For the s369 turbo what housing and v band did you go with?
Kept the back from my s366 which was a .91a/r twin scroll with the popular 4.2" marmon flange
Looking to get a vr6 mk3 2.9 l synchro awd turbo out . All I m waiting on my down pipe
What wheel horsepower do you think you are putting down?
Never dynoed this setup but my smaller setup prior to this made 575whp so it could be more or around that area

What parts did you buy to make this normal Jetta into the absolute beast it is? From camshafts, pistons just everything lol.

That has gotta be some of the worst boost control imaginable with that exhaust manifold. Why not make a custom one
Yo so this motors are not good to run T3/T4 turbos? You have to run T4? Always been curious about this?
I personally run a t4 but it would otherwise be your choice what you prefer to run

@@WhaDatProduction yo my brotha so what is the difference besides the wheel between these turbos? I have that identical one with cast wheel but suspect on using it cause it looks like WW2 Turbo🤣 and the turbos I usually run are Comp but they are backed up 6 to 8 weeks also what cams are those? I have 3 sets to try but debating what to use
@@jdportwerks6795 ya I’ve always used these turbos as they’re cheaper (budget build 😁) plus they sound amazing but I used 288 cams in this setup

@@WhaDatProduction I'm just looking to get the basics down. Mainly starting with the intake manifolds. I watched the video and took notice to the short runner you used for the lower intake and then the turbo manifild you used and i found them both online. Do mk3 vr components work for the mk4? Internals you would recommend when it comes to rebuilding the block. Compression. If you can email me that would be great. Im not necessarily trying to copy and paste your build but if it is the only liable set up i have no choice

Hey man love your vids. You apparently did all the fabrication work yourself so I wanted to ask you if you knew a ball park figure on how much it would cost to make a VR6 downpipe and exhaust system for an A3 3.2 Quattro. Really considering this for the next project.
Ghos7N54 First of all,I'm with you 110% on that a3 3.2 project,wanted to do one myself just haven't found one at a realistic project price..lol
However I couldn't really tell the real cost of a custom exhaust as some of my material i aquired from friends who had pipes laying around so really hard to tell
Ok I see, lucky! And yeah man I've been reading forum after forum until my head hurts, and the build is definitely do-able. Right now I'm just trying to put a parts list together and see what numbers I come up with. I saw 034Motorsports turboback exhaust was like $900 alone and I was thinking time to hit up some fab shops lol. Keep up the good work man, it's inspiring!

Downpipe £350, system what £300 for 3". My advice.. Go to local metal man near to you....he will welcome you're money the same as any big company will. Probably get a better service from the little guy anyway.

Christopher Sterling The point of the headspacer is to lower the compression while using the stock high compression pistons,I have low compression pistons as mentioned before

WhaDatProduction ok because I had +2mm intake and +3mm exhaust and my head was cracked between each valve so I think the walls were too thin
Joe Mama363636 I just keep it simple as possible ,incase something goes wrong its just a simple swap over.

Andrew Moen No these are pauter rods and are good approx 200hp each....I had stock rods/pistons in my first setup though and pushed it to 575whp

Fully forged block? These rods look like factory arent they? Even stock ones can hold like 600 hp.
