I know this is an older video, but thank you for making this and other videos. I deal with severe chronic depression. if you have ever dealt with or know someone that has depression you've probably seen how hard it is to do anything because you cannot get motivated. after watching a few hours of your videos I kept reminding myself that my room and my house use to be that clean. the short spans of time that I wasn't depressed my rooms were pristine. you motivated me to clean my house after no cleaning for two months. now my house is beautiful again and I feel less depressed and a little happier. thank you! (^-^)
That just proves that you can get out of this dark pit of self loathing!! You can do it!! Keep surrounding yourself with positive thoughts and feelings, alright? That's how I got better.
I understand you. I slowly came out of depression by every morning reminding myself of three things to be grateful for. I had tried antidepressants but I gained a lot of weight on them. Wish you well. Nutrition and exercise can do wonders. But when one is depressed it’s hard to get out of bed so I understand your struggle.
I've in Canada I am 12 yrs old and I am watching this cuz I need to clean my closet very small closet thanks so much for doing this video Mrs Melissa maker
Just finished. This was hell on Earth! Took hubby and I 8 hours!!!!!! Broke out the Christmas music and got it done by 4am!!! Thanks so much for inspiring a much-needed task! Plus I now have plenty to donate for Christmas!
So finding your channel has made my fiancé very happy because I have been on a cleaning frenzy since watching your videos and today I totally redid our closet.
Melissa, You need to check out Joy Mangano's Huggable hangers on Hsn. I am in love, they are so great and really affordable. The clothes in my closet take up half the space now because they are so much thinner, and the material keeps clothes (all of them) on the hangers( they never fall off), and they come with these great little hooks that match so that you can make a blouse/pant/shirt tree like yours just by placing a hook over the hanger part. They also make your closet look really great since they all match. Hope this helps you. Great video as always, keep up all the good work :). Uh oh, I like them so much, I sound like the infomercial. :(
Totally agree...closet looks great!!! But the Huggables are a must. The video came out fabulous and I love the fact that you mentioned to listen to an audio book...such a great way to use time!
I keep a doll that my grandma made me after my sister was born. She has dark hair and dark eyes like I did when I was a kid. I slept with her every night, especially when my little sister was in the hospital. It reminded me that someone is always looking out for me. Thank you for all of your cleaning videos, they help me out so much when I am not sure how to clean something up.
I have used 4 or 5 videos to clean different rooms, items, I.e. stove, and they are all cleaner looking then when I had a cleaning lady. I LOVE THem all…thank you so much!
A sentimental item I've hung onto, that I hang in my closet is my first and last pairs of ballet shoes. I like to have them hanging in my closet, for the sake of memories. When I see them I think about how much I loved to dance, & how important ballet was to me! I wore the first pair when I was only 3 years old... they are so tiny and cute! The other pair I wore my last time dancing. They remind me how thankful I am for the opportunity to have had ballet in my life! They're too pretty to pack away, but I didn't want the extra visual clutter in my bedroom. So the closet is a perfect place to display them!
i really really like that you guys dont make rocket science out of the closet cleaning some people on youtube seems to start colour coordination and print labeling on every freaking sock ... nobody has time for that .. greetings from germany i love your channel
Thanks Lilly Sais ! We are very practical people and do the least amount of work for the highest impact. The highly structured organization really works for some people, but for me, I have to keep it easy or else I won't stick to it. Glad you found this helpful!
Every time I'm cleaning my wardrobe I come across my first pair of glasses! I keep them because I made my mom buy the most expesive one and she made me promisse that I would keep it safe and take care, so did I for the past 19 years! :) I find your channel so helpfull and easy to follow. Thanks so much for that!
Aww that's really a sweet story! Good on you for keeping your word. I know the first pair of glasses I got had to be 'so cool' too. You are most welcome, I am so pleased you find the videos helpful!
I have 4 newspapers and 3 Sears catelogues as keepsakes that I keep in my closet. We bought a copy of the local newspaper on the day we were married and one for each of our (3) kids on the day they were born. It will be neat to look at these many years from now! And the catelogues are from the year they were born. Fun to look at fashions, trends and cost of goods! My Father-in-law has an old Eaton's catelogue from 1940's. Pretty cool!
Thanks for the great video. You should totally use the vintage baby booties as a Christmas tree ornament! Just another way to enjoy small sentimental items!
I watched your video clips for cleaning bathroom and bedroom yesterday. I was so inspired and finished both rooms in one day. The closet cleaning is next on my list! Thank you so much for sharing your awesome cleaning tips.
Melissa i would like really to thank you for motuvating me to be a super clean in a big family house i learned alot of tips and tricks and taught me siblings about them i would talk to you forever about the amount of inspiration and motivation i got after being watching your channel, finally to answer your question the thing that i am still keeping is a tiny pillow and bed sheet of mine when i was a baby😊
Iv watched many cleaning/organization channels but I love your channel the best...simple, practical and your so motivating!!! Thank you for all your tips and tricks!!
It's 10;00 P.M right now I was boared so I looked up ''How to clean your closet" and I found this and I'm really glad I did I LOVED this video it's AWSOME now I am going to spend the rest of the night shopping and cleaning out my closet :)
I love cleaning out my drawers and closet. I find it so easy to get rid of mostly anything. However, I always seem to hang on to old, fancy dresses or childhood dance recital costumes. I've kept my high school graduation gown and prom dress, too. They're clothing ensembles that hold so much sentimental value to me and mostly all of them are custom made. By the way, I love your channel! Keep doing what you are doing. :)
Melissa, I did just what you said. I laid out my clothes into a huge pile on my bed, the messy clothes stacked a foot high. I was tired so I fell asleep on the clothes pile. when I woke up, I was able to feel a pea that was placed at the bottom of the pile as I slept...at least I hope that was a pea...my life changed forever.
I have a little red dress with white ruffles on that my mom sewed for me when I was a baby. She made it for a photoshoot of me when I was about five months old. When I look at it now I just can't believe I've ever been that little! That is my sentimental closet piece :) Btw; I love your channel!
Great video thank you! So true we have way too much stuff! 'There's never a need to just send clothing to a landfill' - I couldn't agree more! For sentimental reasons I hang onto some of the clothes I made back in my teens.
I've definitely got some idea's from your video here on what I will do for my closet and how I am gonna tackle it, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and ideas.
You are such a cool gal (cuz you're Canadian ; )) and super creative. Loved your ideas and the audio book is a great touch. We need more people like you in the world! A BIG thanks!
This is my project today! My closet's been in dire need of a cleaning and I've been putting it off. I've even started setting clean laundry in the floor and then just picking through it for clothes lol!
thank u very much u have helped me so much u just don't know how. I have 3 children n we live in a small 1 bedroom house n its very hard to find d space for everything specially when I'm a clean freak but u have given me many ideas thank u very much God bless u n ur husband.
The most sentimental thing I have in my closet is a collection of X-rated drawings I drew when I was 16. I wish I were joking. I'm 22 now and even though I'm embarrassed to have them still, I can't seem to throw them away because a surprising amount of time and effort went into each drawing. That's probably not the answer anyone was expecting, but I was compelled to be honest about it. Loved the spring cleaning videos! They're extremely helpful and I can't wait to see what you two have planned next!
Well that makes sense - x-rated or not you worked hard on them and you are probably super proud of them! I am so glad you found the videos helpful :), thank you!
Your videos I love them so much they are so very helpful.I remember when I was cleaning my closet out I found cute little gifts that my boyfriend at the time had gave me and he had just moved away.I was really missing him and I found these cute plush keychains and a care bear pen that had fell into my undies drawer. And seeing them made me giggle and tear up at the same time because we had such great memories together of when he won them or bought them for me.
I keep a big box of mementos from my daughter's short life: her ultrasounds, the hospital paperwork, baby shower cards, leftover funeral programs, etc. I have it stored in a pretty box that I had purchased for her nursery, so it helps to think that she did get to "use" it in some way.
Love Chad's colorful pants. I am pretty good about cleaning out my closet, but I know I have way to many clothes after I do it. Love your guidelines to help decide if it needs to say bye bye but sometimes it's still to hard to do.
He has a pair of pants for practically every colour of the rainbow :). I know it's hard to say bye to things, I always think about what I've spent, but you know getting rid of it just feels good. I can't explain it...just try it!
Loved that you kept it simple, neath & practical! I also love listening to audio books & today while organizing in the mudroom, I listened to Arianna Huffington's "Thrive". Thanks Melissa. Loved every step you used to clean your closet. I can see myself doing it that same way too. Thank you.
I have a small collection of stuffed Pooh Bears in my closet! They sit up on the shelf. I have the one from when I was born, one that my Grandma has had since forever, one that I bought that looks like my first one, and two that my friend has bought me. They're all deeply sentimental but I'm saving the one I purchased for myself for when I have children. :) I don't use the shelf in my closet for much so they are perfectly at home sitting up there.
Loved your closet Just reorganized mine. Used 1) shoe hanger sorter ( linen type) 2) Small 3 drawer plastic unit for shoes ( yes I am a shoe fanatic ) 3) 2 linen type portable shelves... just unfold and put the velcro around the pole and voila 3rd shoe section & pjs/ jeans sections. 4) Found a jewelry pocket hanger very practical. 5) found a butterfly hanger for scarves etc. 6) found a hanger for braws & belts. Finally after lots of shopping & patience got myself an inexpensive walk-in closet.
I like the baking soda idea on the carpet. I will try that. I also organize my clothes by shirts, dresses, skirts and pants etc. I have drawers on the side of my bed so I store my winter sweaters, scarves, caps, knitted hats and gloves etc. in two of those so I have room to store other things on the top shelves in the closet.
I'm 17 and I live in Texas, United States. Every time I clean my closet I find my Elmo. My parents gave it to me when I turned 1. It looks kind of scary now but I keep it because it's my only thing that I distinctly remember in my childhood. :) Your video really helped, thanks so much. :D
funny enough i just cleaned my closet last week , verrrry daunting work but feel proud now i look at it . As my closet is quite small i packet all the winter clothes in ikea big boxes and put them under the bed , really saves a lot of space if you don't have it :) I hang on and cant really find myself to let go of gifts from either people tha passed away and some things my mum bought me . Now i live on my ow they are all a reminder of the past.Although i recommend just hanging on to a few of them not all. Sending love from Denmark :)
That's incredible! You are right on the ball. I know it's daunting but you captured the essence of it - you feel amazing once it's done. Hello right back at you in Denmark!
I am going to clean my closet right now I have itin the past five years that's crazy and this would be a very cool ideal for my winter clothes too thanks clean my space
Great video! I hang onto my parachute pants from the 80s. Size 5! Now I am in a size 12, so I love to look at them because they are so small and sleek. lol Thanks for the vid!! Off to clean the closet, right now!!
I was hang my hubby's dog tags and my boys first noodle necklace!!. Just a reminder how awesome they are! And thank you for the Audible.com Freebie!!!!
Awww, adorable! Chad's mom has a little macaroni angel he made when he was small that she brings out every Christmas. Kids crafts (especially with noodles) are so sweet! And the dog tag is probably a 'real' one, not one you get at the mall, right? Very cool!
And now that I "re-read" that I will hang some grammar rules so one day I can send out a comment in English! Sorry! Brain moves fast that the fingers. :) ! LOL And yes, real dog tags! USMC Wife & proud!
I wish I had that much closet space :) Saw this great tip recently, put your hangers onto the bar backwards, and when you've worn the item put the hanger the right way round, then next time you clear out your closet its easy to see wht you haven't worn.
Thank you for the great tips! I wish I had a walking closet. I only have a wardrobe so there's not that much room for my clothes. :( I prefer listening to music while I'm cleaning. I wouldn't be able to concentrate on listening to an audiobook while cleaning.
We don't have closets in England, mostly just tiny little wardrobes. Do you have any tips for dealing with smaller space, say 1/4 of your closet? Help!
Do you know project 333? It helped me a lot! I also only have a wardrobe and it has helped me a lot to organise my clothes and have an uncluttered space! Basically you choose a few amount of clothes (in theory 33) that you have in your wardrobe and wear for three months, then you rotate. The rest of the clothes I store in vacuum boxes so they hardly take any space. Good luck!
That's a good idea! I might try that, thanks! Some of the problem that I have is I don't think I have clothes that go together that you can switch up easily into different outfits. I've been trying to find guidelines as to what roughly a well equipped wardrobe would look like, but haven't really found anything suitable online. Don't suppose you have any thoughts? I like the idea of matching my wardrobe to the seasons a bit though.
These are the original suggestions: theproject333.com/getting-started/ I cannot give you specific advise because my styling skills are quite limited, but having less clothes at a time has actually helped me dress better. The advise Melisa offers here about keeping just the clothes that are in good shape and suit you is the key to it. And then just try to choose items that you think could work well together (if you google or search in youtube for project 333 you'll also find great advice). Since I started with this way of organising my closet I have realised what clothes I like best and now when I buy clothes I am able to make better choices, I guess if you start choosing fewer clothes to use i'll happen the same to you so in the long run you'll have clothes that go well together. You can start just with a month trial and find out whether it works for you or not... Good luck!
you could use your first shoes to store little bags with baking soda and scent or similar ^^ Since they are always there, they might as well make the place smell nice ^^
We did this a few weeks ago! Thank you for the video and the Audible link. And lastly, the sentimental item in my closet is a black kitty-cat stuffy named "Dusty."
Haha, noticed your cat on the top shelf when you were sprinkling baking soda around, nice video btw! This REALLY helped me clean out my closet, I'd like you to make a video about cleaning a desk or office though, I can't seem to find a way that works in other videos, I hope you can find the time to do one!
I got my box from Grove Collaborative today. I saw the ad that pops up during your video for that. I clicked on it and guess what I got. All purpose cleaner, wood cleaner, glass cleaner, dish soap, dish tabs for the dish washer, a pretty ceramic tray to keep my dish soap and hand soap on, yes, hand soap was included as well as, chlorine free bleach, bamboo scrubbers, microfiber cloths...eeeee! they are as thick as my fuzzy slippers, love them. I am sure I am forgetting something, there were over 13 items in there not counting all the cloths!!! For $20.00? Yes please. This was one time I was glad for pop up and stop the video ads!!!!
Cool background music. Like ya'll as a couple. Love your vids. No squeaky, mousey sounding women whose voice is irritating. Like your humor, too. Go Canada!!
Well, I guess I have to clean my closet tomorrow......aghhhh...thanks for the tips on the audiobook...excellent idea! My closet is exactly like yours but crammmmmmeeeddd with any and everything. Laughing but very, very serious. It will probably take me a whole entire day and probably more.
My treasured item from my closet is an old wind-up alarm clock my grandfather gave me when I was a little girl. It has a mother hen and baby chick on it and each 'tick tock tick tock' the hen's head moves up and down like she is pecking seeds on the ground. I don't use the clock (the alarm on it is godawful-sounding bell!) but it still works to this day and I have kept it with me through over a dozen moves!
I have aaaalllll the letters my best friend and I wrote to eachother. Also my boyfriends.... I'm actually more than half ready to throw them away. But it's hard to imagine. As I'm writing this, I think I may take on the arduous task of scanning them all in a usb.... I'm so glad you asked this question! They fill a huge Bed Bath and Beyond bag.... it will take just a couple days short of forever... but at least I have a plan!
At 5:20, you mentioned using those boxes from Ikea for storing sweaters. A few ideas that we use at our house-- #1 Turn the box on its side, so that the opening faces you. Put the folded sweaters into the box, nice and flat. You'll be able to see every sweater from the front [just in case], but they're safely out of the way. #2 If you prefer to keep the box sitting on its bottom, use a linen napkin to cover the sweaters in the box over the summer. This will keep off most of the dust, without sealing your sweaters in plastic bags [that can make them musty].
I really enjoy your videos, they are so good!!! Congrats!!! i´ve been watching them for quite some time now and they have been really helpful. I live downtown in my city in a really sunny, sometimes dry and sometimes wet weather, but my general problem it´s DUST, I would like to know if you could talk about it, how to clean it, how to avoid it, something like that. Once again congratulations to you and your husband, you do a great job with this channel. Cheers from Venezuela!!!
Hi Melissa and Chad. My sentimental thing in my wardrobe is my nans favourite cardigan. I never wear it, I just like to have her close by. Can I give you a suggestion, put butchers paper on top of your winter clothes, it will save them getting dusty. One more thing, I cleaned out my wardrobe not so long ago. I made sure only clothes that fit me went back into the wardrobe so I tried everything on. It took me ages but now I know I won't have that horrible moment of reaching for clothing and finding it doesn't fit. Thanks for your videos. Have a great day :)
A sentimental item in my closet is a pillowcase from my childhood that my mom did with hand embroidered lambs and scalloped crochet trim. I should frame it, instead of keeping it in the closet!
Thanks for another great video. I must be a weird one cause I love going thru and purging my closet often and coming up with new storage solutions. There are a few items I can't purge; my very first teddy bear that my grandpa gave me (he's missing an eye but he's mine) and my wedding dress.
Another good idea when you do a clean out of your closet but may have items of clothing you feel you want to hold on to as you THINK you will wear them in the near future is to put all your clothes on the hangers with the open side of the top hanger facing towards you on the rail (basically the wrong way around)...then each time you wear an item and return it to the closet turn the hanger the opposite way (basically the correct way) and then at the end of six months, a year or whenever you do your next big clean up, an hangers not turned around the correct way will allow you to see which clothes you haven't worn and most likely will never wear so they can then be given to charity...this actually works well in a kitchen utensil drawer as well...put all those gadgets, ladles, choppers into a cardboard box under the sink and leave the drawer empty then each time you need an item take it from the box, use it and then place it back in the drawer...any items still in the box in 6 months, year or whatever is probably something you don't really need ...It works for me...
I know this is an older video, but thank you for making this and other videos. I deal with severe chronic depression. if you have ever dealt with or know someone that has depression you've probably seen how hard it is to do anything because you cannot get motivated. after watching a few hours of your videos I kept reminding myself that my room and my house use to be that clean. the short spans of time that I wasn't depressed my rooms were pristine. you motivated me to clean my house after no cleaning for two months. now my house is beautiful again and I feel less depressed and a little happier. thank you! Wellbutrin is a nice antidepressant you can ask your doctor about it
I understand you. I slowly came out of depression by every morning reminding myself of three things to be grateful for. I had tried antidepressants but I gained a lot of weight on them. Wish you well. Nutrition and exercise can do wonders. But when one is depressed it’s hard to get out of bed so I understand your struggle.

I am not sure about this but not every room has a huge walk in closet in the UK but I do and it is so cool
I keep a big box of mementos from my daughter's short life: her ultrasounds, the hospital paperwork, baby shower cards, leftover funeral programs, etc. I have it stored in a pretty box that I had purchased for her nursery, so it helps to think that she did get to "use" it in some way.
That's a lovely way to remember her; it sounds like you have created some very memorable treasures and are taking good care of them :)
Hello Julie,
It's good to save those special treasures. She'll always be part of your family.
I have a stuffed dog that I've had since a baby, I found him, washed him and now my 2 year old daughter loves him and cuddles him every night!
Awww get out. That's adorable!
These tips are super helpful and i am really inspired to clean my closet today thanks so much love to see more videos
We have some of our wedding items in our closet. It's a nice memory when we actually get around to cleaning in there, lol.
Loved that you kept it simple, neath & practical! I also love listening to audio books & today while organizing in the mudroom, I listened to Arianna Huffington's "Thrive". Thanks Melissa. Loved every step you used to clean your closet. I can see myself doing it that same way too. Thank you.
I love it...need the ideas to clean up my messy unorganized closet.
Thank you for sharing your ideas
I have a small collection of stuffed Pooh Bears in my closet! They sit up on the shelf. I have the one from when I was born, one that my Grandma has had since forever, one that I bought that looks like my first one, and two that my friend has bought me. They're all deeply sentimental but I'm saving the one I purchased for myself for when I have children. :) I don't use the shelf in my closet for much so they are perfectly at home sitting up there.
Loved your closet
Just reorganized mine.
Used
1) shoe hanger sorter ( linen type)
2) Small 3 drawer plastic unit for shoes ( yes I am a shoe fanatic )
3) 2 linen type portable shelves... just unfold and put the velcro around the pole and voila 3rd shoe section & pjs/ jeans sections.
4) Found a jewelry pocket hanger very practical.
5) found a butterfly hanger for scarves etc.
6) found a hanger for braws & belts.
Finally after lots of shopping & patience got myself an inexpensive walk-in closet.
Chantal Couturier I
Sentimental Item:
The hawaiiam baby outfit that my then 6 month old son (just turned 13!) wore to our hawaiian beach wedding!
Hey Melissa, could you possibly do a video on getting rid of and preventing fleas?
My first pair of toddler jeans which were also my dad's first pair of toddler jeans...have stayed with me no matter where I've moved!
Awwwwww!!!! Come on!!! That's too cute!
I am going to clean my closet right now I have itin the past five years that's crazy and this would be a very cool ideal for my winter clothes too thanks clean my space
Incredible! Good luck, Dustin Cardwell ! You can do it!
Yes, I have been doing that for 3 weeks I was in a size 16 now I am in a 12. This is a job.
Dyson should sponsor you. The cordless Dyson changed my cleaning life. So easy to use.
I did not realize you were Canadian. I already signed up for Audible. I'd like to listen to the Law of Success. I'm listening to Eclipse.
Great video!
I hang onto my parachute pants from the 80s. Size 5! Now I am in a size 12, so I love to look at them because they are so small and sleek. lol
Thanks for the vid!! Off to clean the closet, right now!!
I am always waiting for your video's
I love your style and how simple and easy ways you do things. Is lovely.
Thank you, Priti Khan - I am glad you find them helpful!
Your bed is gorgeous!
Really thorough and step by step! Thanks!
Thanks - it was a lot easier to do with clear steps, I know that for me at least. So I am glad it makes it easier for you!
Hard work pays off😊😊🙏🙏🙏🙏
Love the cat on the shelf while sprinkling the baking soda.
I think she had quite an experience up there...however she isn't welcome up there anymore!
Thanks for the vid!!! I was one of your subscribers that put in a request and it was soooo helpful!
Fantastic! Glad we could do this for you!
I have a puppet of Ganesh from when my brother went for a trip to India. He gave it to me for my 18th to help with exams, it's really cool.
That's extremely cool! What a special gift!
Great video, gonna be busy today cleaning my closet 😄
I am glad you've been inspired!
I wish I had that much closet space :)
Saw this great tip recently, put your hangers onto the bar backwards, and when you've worn the item put the hanger the right way round, then next time you clear out your closet its easy to see wht you haven't worn.
Yes - I saw that too. It's a smart idea!
Hi Melissa. I really love your show all the time yes. ☺
Hi Melisa. Thanx for great tutorials u are my inspire :) Pls show how do u storage ur bags and shoes...
I love how you guys actually share your closet.. I always hear horror stories about women stealing 100% of the closet!
Thank you for the great tips! I wish I had a walking closet. I only have a wardrobe so there's not that much room for my clothes. :(
I prefer listening to music while I'm cleaning. I wouldn't be able to concentrate on listening to an audiobook while cleaning.
Fair enough - music, audiobook, whatever works so long as it's being done, right?!
We don't have closets in England, mostly just tiny little wardrobes. Do you have any tips for dealing with smaller space, say 1/4 of your closet? Help!
Hmm, I would say to look for a really good storage solution system, have you checked out IKEA's systems?
I had wardrobe like that. In I live in USA super tiny bedroom
These are the original suggestions: theproject333.com/getting-started/
I cannot give you specific advise because my styling skills are quite limited, but having less clothes at a time has actually helped me dress better.
Good luck!
Sadly I have a different type of closet and I have to much stuff but I guess I'll try following a few steps that I can do.
you could use your first shoes to store little bags with baking soda and scent or similar ^^ Since they are always there, they might as well make the place smell nice ^^
Great vid as always but where are your shoes?
We did this a few weeks ago! Thank you for the video and the Audible link. And lastly, the sentimental item in my closet is a black kitty-cat stuffy named "Dusty."
Hahaha, Dusty - perfect name for something kept in the closet!! You are most welcome - hope you try it out!
Great job melissa.. so motivating! Thankyou!
You are most welcome, I hope it helps you tackle the closet!
Great video! Also having the same type of hangers for your clothes will give it a clean/organized look as well :)
For $20.00? Yes please. This was one time I was glad for pop up and stop the video ads!!!!
oh, everything already has the essential oils in them, happy me
Cool background music. Like ya'll as a couple. Love your vids. No squeaky, mousey sounding women whose voice is irritating. Like your humor, too. Go Canada!!
+nzinga zindua Thanks for watching nzinga, we like you too :)
+nzinga zindua Agreed. Also, i'm a dog fancy person and with dog toys piling up daily, those bins really help the organizational process.
As long as you start somewhere, you're in good shape. Hope you enjoyed the audiobook!
Have you ever done one on how to fold fitted sheets?
My treasured item from my closet is an old wind-up alarm clock my grandfather gave me when I was a little girl. It has a mother hen and baby chick on it and each 'tick tock tick tock' the hen's head moves up and down like she is pecking seeds on the ground. I don't use the clock (the alarm on it is godawful-sounding bell!) but it still works to this day and I have kept it with me through over a dozen moves!
I love your channel so much❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for watching Hannah Shiels !!
They fill a huge Bed Bath and Beyond bag.... it will take just a couple days short of forever... but at least I have a plan!
great tips! So helpful!
Thanks - glad you found them helpful!
At 5:20, you mentioned using those boxes from Ikea for storing sweaters. A few ideas that we use at our house--
#1 Turn the box on its side, so that the opening faces you. Put the folded sweaters into the box, nice and flat. You'll be able to see every sweater from the front [just in case], but they're safely out of the way.
#2 If you prefer to keep the box sitting on its bottom, use a linen napkin to cover the sweaters in the box over the summer. This will keep off most of the dust, without sealing your sweaters in plastic bags [that can make them musty].
watching your video makes me wanna clean witch is very good. you`re motivating! :)
I have my first dress in my closet. My grandmother knit it for me before I was born.
Those items you keep even can frame as Art...
Love this video!!! Can u do a " proper hanger for the proper clothes" video
I love your channel! I am hooked. What do you suggest in terms of organizing a plethora of purses or shoes in your closet? Any tips?
Great video! Quick couple of questions; do you have several pairs of shoes, and if so, where do you keep them?
Aww, that's so sweet! Yes, it would probably look really nice framed, and you would get to see it more often!
Thanks for another great video. I must be a weird one cause I love going thru and purging my closet often and coming up with new storage solutions. There are a few items I can't purge; my very first teddy bear that my grandpa gave me (he's missing an eye but he's mine) and my wedding dress.
That's not strange - you are lucky to be that way! Aww, perfect items to keep!
