sorry, i havent actually installed these in over 5 years, so i cant help much. All i can remember is that the back left cavity of the radio compartments went down to the area above the gas and brake pedals under the dash...
Not all Mercedes Sprinter vans are created the same my fuse box is under the driver's seat. The reversing lamp power wire is blue with a white stripe which runs in the van loom. I took a tap off the blue and white striped wire to power the relay. Hence the camera and monitor is only active when the van is in reverse.
I just watched it and I'm willing to give it a try. My van set up would be the one at the second part of the video, through the nav screen. Where do you suggest the camera and module be purchased from?
@@jeffreyruck552 Thanks! I'll reach out. Quick question tho - In the video, it looks like you are showing two different applications for the monitor. One on the rear view mirror and one integrated in the nav screen. With the mirror application there is the module packed into the cavity under the A pillar. But with integrated system, there is not that module, right? Or is the integrated system a continuation of the wiring set up? I have a 2014 MB Sprinter with the Nav screen and I'd like to utilize that. Thanks in advance.
This wiring harness comes with the camera kit. Contact these guys if you need to buy parts Advantage Outfitters (866) 925-4844 www.advantageoutfitters.com
The MB dealer let us know our radio is camera ready. Who's kit are you installing in the RUclips video? I prefer not buying NAV-TV kits as they are lots $$.
We use our own kit that we have built, based off of the Nav tv part# NTV-KIT477. If you are located in the NY metro area, we would be glad to sell and install our kit.
Hi just wondering if u know which fuse its for side mirrors for a 07 dodge sprinter 2500 , i cant make it work any of the side mirrors , i replace them, also i did replace the switch in the door and still doesn’t work i checked all the fuses and all of them are good , also if im right fuse 13 its for mirros and its good , any thoughts would help , thanks
Sorry i have never worked with the mirrors on the sprinters, so i dont know much about them. If you have put new mirrors on the vehicle and they are an electronically related item, you might have to take the vehicle to the car dealer to program the PCM to recognize the mirrors
Can this camera be connected to the factory non-NAV head unit? I'd like to view the camera on my factory screen if possible. It seems I would need a new 18 pin Molex harness and "facor" cable? Where can I get those? Once all that is done it would have to be programmed? Thanks in advance.
If the vehicle doesn't have the large factory LCD screen you will not be able to install the camera unless you upgrade the radio. i would suggest just going with the 7" aux monitor and camera system.
How do I get ahold of you? Can you provide the kit #, the kit content, the specs and the cost so I can review it? We'd install it as ourselves as we are in Michigan.

im not sure what camera system you are using but, the blue reverse trigger wire is only used for turning the camera image on and off. if you connect the blue wire to a constant 12v source the camera image will always display when the system is turned on. if the Fakra cable is not connected to the green plug in the back of the radio you will not see an image.
the ones we use are Rear View Safety www.rearviewsafety.com/rvs-916619-backup-camera-system-sprinter-backup-camera-system.html the one using the factory screen is a kit sold through www.commercialvanshelving.com/
Guy's I just watched that whole video to learn how to pick up the feed frome the white wire blue stripe and you just held them together and said they get joined! Lol! BUT HOW DO YOU JOIN THEM! LOL!
Paul Roe- sorry for not showing that part, as it is a bit tricky to do in the tight space there.... I butt spliced them together, using the same tools and methods that i used for connecting the ring terminals and add a line fuse holder. You should be able to find videos for Butt splicing wires with a Butt connector in more detail somewhere....
Great video thanks. Can you show more in detail how to get the cable from the radio to under the steering wheel?
Sorry, cant really show that on video. its kind of trial and error just fishing it through...
@@jeffreyruck552 and in the comments or email?

With the OEM navigation you will need to buy a module but it is only for programming purposes.
Thanks so much. Do you know the buttons to push to get into the engineering mode of the radio?
Sorry, I do not. Anything regarding programming the radio itself will need to be done by the dealer
Where do you get the 18pin harness and the other adapters you referred to?

where yuo connected the blue cable ,how yuo program the camera ?
that part is not clear at all .the kit dont can with that blue cable .
there should be a blue wire labeled input2 that needs to connect to a 12v power source temporarily while you program the camera...
Thanks
Simple as that 😮
