    OMG! This is so cool! I've heard about this method before, but never had someone take me through the process. Or maybe I wasn't interested in learning before, but today it clicked! Gosh, I think I'm going to start making my bed in the morning!

    • @truckerwellnesssusa
      @truckerwellnesssusa 6 лет назад

      I heard about that (making your bed every morning) about a year ago on a speech by Admiral William H. McRaven (his "Change the World" speech). Ever since then, I have not missed A SINGLE DAY of making my bed when I get up (even if it's just for a nap) ;-)

    Lewis-
    Blown away by this one and have to thank you, Jim, and the magic of RUclips (and of course, the universe). Although I'm watching more of your podcasts as of late, RUclips never suggested this video (or the actual sit down with Jim Kwik, which I watched before this one) and I found it by watching an episode of Jim on Inside Quest, which led me to Jim's site, which lead me back to RUclips (because I was jazzed about what I learned on his site/video), which then showed me that (of course, because you're the man) you did a podcast with Jim too.
    Anyway, I just wanted to acknowledge you for all you've done for me in such a short period of time. The amazing content of your podcasts, your outstanding book (which I'll need to read again, this time taking notes and actually putting practice to what you've preached), and for just seeming to be a really great guy overall. I originally mistook your confidence for cockiness while watching the first couple of podcasts I ran across of yours but I'm so glad I kept at it (and that I was wrong).
    As us Hawaiians say, MAHALO (which means thank you) for everything you've done and continue to do. I am so appreciative and thankful for you and your hustle. Keep up the amazing work!

    Ok, this is really effective!
    How do I use your principles to learn to code? I started with two semesters of C++, and I have spent the past 6 months studying HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, and some of other languages. There are so many languages and technologies, and it's hard for newbies to have a definitive path.
    I'm having a tough time with all of it, and I assume you have received this question many times.
    Thank you for your advice!
    Jim

    impale trought the head
    nose cut/punch
    stuff the mought
    bleeding ears/stabbed ears , shouting , reproaching
    decapitate the troath
    cut near the shoulders
    and stab the belly
    cut the fingers
    and I feel depressed ,

    Does anyone have links to any more free training on this method? I haven’t quite saved up the $$$ for his full course.

    • @JordanJm
      @JordanJm 6 лет назад

      Joshua Duggan don't spend money on his course. He is using a very simple method that he mentioned is thousands of years old. Look up the method of loci. He's not doing anything special that hasn't been written about hundreds of times. If you must spend money look at the book moonwalking with Einstein which describes how this is done in detail. Also don't you find it interesting how he only uses nouns (things you can visualize) for his words instead of adjectives, emotion words, or other abstract words?

    i wonder how could you use this method for language learning...

    • @LemonNation
      @LemonNation 7 лет назад

      That's super easy but really effective. Instead of doing what everyone does and remembering what a word means in your mother language just think of a place or event where someone used that word. Just like here it's better if the situation is unusual because it will be easier to remember.
