Very cool. I just found an original MXR Envelope Filter in my basement that I think I bought in the 80s. Going to feature it soon on my channel. I love the newer features on this one.
do another demo of this. this does it no justice. it's the famous mxr env filter with an upgrade, hand wired and a fix in volume drop compared to the old one. it's a less syruppy mutron Mike says. It's the best.
Glaringly obvious you don't understand velocity controlled effect pedals, but, in spite of the lack of the concept, you managed to get some proper action out of it in the last 2-3 minutes.
The envelope pedals in general has some limited use and tends to oversaturate the voice of the guitar while in overdrive or distortion mode. If I were to do some Parliament, Mother's Finest, Hendrix or Bootsy (Joe Walsh used the DOD version while in the James Gang)from the late 60's to early to mid 70's, I would say this is the pedal for you. However,it might become one of your less used petals. The Analog Man gives you a bit more ability in the manipulation of the effect and expression than the DOD reissue. Good Luck finding the A-Man version because of it's limited manufacturing. But I would still use it over the DOD or the Earthquaker Devices.
Why do you think it's hard to find? Just go to the website and order it. "It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt"
Great job demoing it, but I just don't care for the cheap sound of this type of pedal effect. By the way, I'm a retired IC design engineer. There is no "magic" in NOS devices. If you take the same spec new parts and do double blind test, no one can ever tell the difference. So certainly not worth $200.
+harlon57 Unfortunately, many guitarists are total cork-sniffers who will swear up and down that they can tell a difference. In reality not one of them could pass the pepsi challenge with most stuff like this.
+chickensandbeandip People in China make a "real" living wage there, cost of living is dramatically lower, so they naturally receive lower wages than their counterparts here in the U.S. Are you against people in other countries having jobs?
+harlon57 Very true man. The only reason companies get away with selling "NOS" electronics for more than new parts is because 90% of guitarists don't know a diode from a capacitor and don't how very little components actually cost.
"I have no idea what this switch does." Well why are you demoing this pedal then John???
It flips the direction of the envelope, DUDE!
now that I know what gain sounds like, still want to know what the analog man sounds like
It's some feat to make this pedal sound bad....but he does
best on the market. you can see john never played one in his life.

Nice playing! Loved the licks in the Tone section!
If you are going to demo play the same riff dirty and CLEAN!!!!

you play all the sounds that nobody want to hear from an envelope filter!!
This guys is killing the effect... worst demo ever
Thoughts on comparing this to the Emma discombobulated auto wah?
Give it some more emphasis to emphasize and make it more emphatic..
Fantastic demo, too bad they are already sold out (probably gonna buy the fully analogman one when they are released though).
battery powered?

Hmmm, not sure if this demo shows the nature of this and other envelope filters. Jerry he is not.
Really cool demo and pedal!!!!

Great demo, Thanks!
Sounds kinda Liquid....I love that....And I love how small and easy it seems to be to dial in
You might consider having it demoed by someone who know what envelopes do
oh the days of Jerry Garcia
There is superstitious writing on the wall... Killer Wonder!
Sounds like a good autowah
You no qualify play envelope filter
Nice guitar..
This guy looks like the wife's ex-boyfriend in every movie ever made. He just couldn't get his shit together so she moved on.
😳 No no I don't want any pedals in my arsenal !
I'm not that sorta guy.
Looks like touch wah
I love analogman, but the joyo wah rocker sounds better.
+Alex Padilla you mean guyatone pedal? or joyo with wah wah ?
bullshit
Oh Dang
+Krantz sure
Still, a regular wah sounds much more better.
KILLER PLAYING
u2 pedal nothing original here
Haha that review was horrible 😂 certainly he doesn’t know how to use an envelop filter. Sad caise it’s a killer pedal
