This song I sang at the school talent show, my sister was supposed to do it with me but back out when it was time to go on stage. So I did it by myself. But this song helped hide a pain a 9-10 year could never imagine it would ever happen to them. Taught me growth n definitely became unafraid after that. But I am blessed to say I survived my childhood and have such a great son the best gift life has to offer. Love this song still 2021

Rap will NEVER sound like this. This is music. Music that requires actual musicianship and singing and songwriting.
The days of a bunch of people getting together and putting together a band are long gone.
Anybody can “rap.” Not anybody can put together a band and create a song out of nothing.

Yeah, It has been 30 years. 1992 is a year personally I'll never forget, and the R&B and Hip Hop music from that year.
Summer 1992 i was visiting family in Buffalo, New York. This song seemed to come on the radio every 10 minutes. Didn't learn the group was from Buffalo till i was an adult. Makes sense now. I was only 11 but it was permanently instilled in my head. Still luv it!
