David's dad has the Indian instinct. He got papad with his chaat because it was missing the crunch. In India we balance it with papdi, which is a version of papad.

The black seeds are chia seeds in falooda, give it a thicker consistency. Many vegans use chia/flax seeds for protein or omegas. Your dad had a right idea for using papad with samosa chaat. My family’s from Kolkata but I’ve been a few different places in India. Been going since I was a newborn from the States. Enjoy!

Add some salt , chilli powder , amchur powder and squeeze lemon (mix them all) ) . put this on top of the papad and eat. or you can make a pizza out of it (the papad is the base)

Most of these curries are meant to be eaten with rice/chapatis/rotis/parathas or rice preparations like pulav, biryani etc. Normally finished off with a curd and plain rice combo or lassi! It eases your tummy with all the spices you eat earlier in the meal. Yogurt or lassi is a mild digestive, hence comes at the end! Cheers!😊👍
