The lack of knowledge spread out from the game and devs being explained by the community is a way of building up next generations to preserve the "culture" of Tekken, so to say.

The main objective of this stun is to give certain charecters lots of frame advantage where they often dont get much, and remove some other charecters' wall splatting ability with certain moves. Its a buff and a nerf delending on who and what move it works with. Shows how much of a contrast all the charecters were and r with each other in the game when the same property can be both terrible and awesome depending on the charecter.
So far it seems mostly a big buff to a couple characters that didnt need it, a nerf to a few that didnt deserve it, and a big nothing burger to a lot of the others.
For King and Paul, it's kind useless Paul have to charge this d+1,2 to get the wall stagger King it is ss+3+4 which leave him on the ground and he got only to option... unless Lil Majin shows us some workaround

@@grahamjl766 You can leapfrog ahead of most other beginner/low skill players simply by learning how to backdash to create space, then whiff punishing whatever moves they carelessly throw out.
@@Scorpio7500 I legit described the new wall crush mechanic but in short. Just like a ballerina stun, it gives plus frames, this time if you hit a wall it gives almost double the plus frames. During the stun the opponent can decide how to block the upcoming attack, but most likely cannot use a move themselves. Doesn't give anything guaranteed. They work extremely similar, except wall stun has incresed effect if you hit the wall clearly. Other than this, the only difference is that some characters like Claudio, can wall stun even if the opponent blocks. Like his wr2

King's new wall stunt gives you 21-23 plus frames and his wake up kicks, both low and mid start at 19 frames. Yes, the low version is launch punishable and mid is -14, but saying that it's completely useless is an overstatement. He's already got a god-like wall pressure anyway, so it's not like he needs this, but I don't think that your opponents for the majority of time will try to challenge your plus frames.
no, it's mostly been used to nerf moves that used to wall splat (political storm, jin ws3) and buff moves by making it apply this property on block (drag ff3, Claudio wr2, etc.)

Bryan was potentially the character that would reward the most with this new mechanic because of taunt, he would become broken. That's why they give wall stunt to a slow useless Move like ff3*
You have no idea how dangerous FF3 was even before this. A delayable knockdown that sits perfectly in a timing wormhole where you can catch someone second guessing and carry them right to a wall for big damage on hit and keep your turn if they block. This puts more fear into the opponent and encourages more defense at the wall but now with a 50/50 that will straight up murder you. This is good stuff but requires a sharp mind and player knowledge.

I can't be the only one who's reminded of Virtua Fighter am I? I recognize that this new mechanic doesn't exactly work the same way, but it is reminiscent of VF4/5 animation-wise imo.
@@tiger-rgn I can't link a video because my comment will be removed instantly, however, I recommend you just search "Virtua Fighter Stagger" on RUclips, you'll find a good video showing the VF5 stagger animation, it really looks a lot like the new Tekken stagger from this update.

@@CDages Technically, Tekken 1's team consisted of ex Sega employees who happened to work on VF1, so it goes far beyond just inspiration and more towards these games being siblings, created from the vision of mostly the same people, but yeah, it seems like Tekken as a series is still taking inspiration from Virtua Fighter to this day, even with VF being basically dormant these days and it isn't surprising if you've heard Harada talk about VF.
it's not guaranteed , it's a mixup. you can try b4 on an enemy. then if opponent freeze expecting the knee, you can try hatchet or even taunt. but nothing guaranteed
I'm very glad they're finally making the wall alot more threatening for the player with their back against it. Not only is there the looming threat of a wall bounce a range 2-3, but also a wall crush when they close the gap. Players are going to feel much less inclined to duck now at the wall, and that'll make risky lows all the more fun to use.
I get what youre saying but most of these are nerfed moves that would previously wallsplat and i dont think any mid that does this on block is below 30 frames so ducking is usually a better option here especially vs characters like claudio or akuma

My set up is guaranteed better do your research people they’ve hidden more into this mechanic than you realize it’ll be enough to hold us over online and offline until Tekken 8 for sure
Ballerina spin is similar to this too. It's why shit like Lee ws2,4 into f3 sometimes looks like a natural combo: it's just your opponent forgetting to hold back.
This mechanic is dogshit. Literally no one has to even attempt wall pressure when you can just use these generic moved to force a 5050 , a plus on block move means fuck all now. At the wall in comparison. Everyone will have the same exact pressure
They nerfed Fahkumram too much. Far too much. I felt he was balanced (he struggles against quite a lot of characters and the majority of his moves were already punishable, you just had to lab him a bit. To reduce my favourite character I paid for to almost unplayable at this late in the game is just stupid while characters with high damage/combo outputs get boosted. I won't be purchasing Tekken 8. .

This mechanic should have existed instead of Wall Bounce. It seems more grounded in its approach, and not all Wall Bounces are viable.

There are plenty of attacks that give more than +10 but the opponent can still block, but it's the ONLY action they can perform while in that state
