In this video you will get to see what car dealers are actually paying for their cars and trucks at auction!
My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.

I have zero condolences for dealers. They have spent the last 4 years jacking vehicle prices to outter space so if they can't make money now then tough shit.
People have taken a huge hit on rents and house prices. A new car is a luxury of you already have another in working condition. The dealers are going to find out over the next 5 years that people can't afford their products.

If I could like this comment more than once, I would.
What's funny as fuck is they are actually destroying themselves as we speak. The people they fucked over with high interest insane car prices; those are the ones they are trying to repo from. Instead of modifying the terms of the loan so the car is actually affordable they are just stealing back cars that turn into clunker pieces of shit. Dealers are actively fucking themselves over by fucking over their clients. A very smart dealer would go back to the manufacturer ask what their profit margin is and work with them to reduce the amount the manufacturer is willing to take. Car makers shouldn't be making cars that cost more than $60,000 unless it goes 0-60 in under 3 seconds and has a top speed of 150 + mph don't sell that shit like it's a super sport, when it's a super piece of crap. Manufacturers fucked over dealerships, dealerships fucked over banks, and the banks rolled all of that fucking over into one stinky pile of crap that they call a consumer loan. It's all a clusterfuck and the only way anything will ever get back on track is if the dealerships help their customers rather than hurt them. The dealerships need to take the hit from the bank and from the manufacturer and fight for their customers, for cheaper rates and an emergency halt on repo's and monthly payments. They need to retroactively offer good deals while they can. They don't need or want the inventory of pissed off customers that are A: going to run from the repo. B: Going to trash the car C: Dealerships are going to have to spend more time energy and money fixing up and re-selling the repo'd cars then it's worth. When it's all said and done they'll find a customer who is going to demand a fair price anyways. They could save a few unecessary steps and just inform the consumer that they are going to get treated right.
The next car that I buy, I get a "buyer adjustment". Karma.
THAT'S STRANGE ! THEY CAN'T SELL A $10,000 PICKUP FOR $100,000 ????
😆 🤣 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I tried buying a 2017 Mercedes GLE350 with 81,000 miles for $23k out the door. The dealer said he was already losing money at the asking price of $25k otd. I told him $23k was my max and he could not meet me at that price. Mind you, this is a dealer that has been trying to sell this car since August lol. Good luck getting that price 😂
I don’t know, buying a used Mercedes doesn’t compute.
$25k vs 23k? Ur a cheap mofo.
@davids8267 i don't know much abt the used market for these vehicles care to elaborate brother
@wahikenei0318 in what state are you?
@@davids8267 It does if you cannot purchase a brand new one. I have a 2004 ML350 that I bought in 2013. That car is still running, so it sounds to me like buying a used Mercedes computed quite well.
I can’t imagine buying a GM product with 170,000 miles on it.
I'd do it if it was about $10... but any car with that sort of mileage should be given away, only a crazy classic that has been rebuilt should be worth anything after 150,000 miles.
How about a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 335,000+ miles that is driven nearly every day?
I bought a 2006 chey tahoe with 172,000 mi on it 7 years ago, sold it last September with 215,000 for 7k. All I added was tires, did plugs, fluids and filters myself and kept it garaged. It was a good vehicle, just had an oil pressure sensor that went bad, needed the usual consumables (light bulbs, a serpentine belt etc.) Itrans and motor were still great, just sold it because we needed a more comfortable minivan. Best GM product I've owned, but I don't trust anything they've made since 2006😬
Still cheaper than buying a 60k-80k new truck. 5-6k for a engine rebuild. Vehicles depreciate, no sense in treating them as investments as if they will increase in value
Lmao never in this lifetime

They are still paying too much for these cars. I know Toyota's run forever but a 10yr old car with 100k miles isn't worth 9k.
Shit, I’m looking for a work truck and mofos down here in FL want $10k for a 20 year old banged up, faded paint POS with nearly 300k on the clock and not a straight panel on them. These people are nuts. At that rate, my 87 Camaro must be worth $100k dollars.

$400 for a 2013 Audi A5 convertible disaster. Sanity is creeping back to car market.
Given how much it needs in body and paint work, plus whatever ails it mechanically, $400 seems high. The car is worth far more parted out than it could fetch on a dealer's lot. Seems like it's in the wrong auction/wrong audience.

That green jeep was cleaned up for auction. The steering wheel was too clean for a prior air bag deployment.
I want to see proof the air bags were replaced. Local police tried a new Chevy police car and it had a non accident air bag deployment while the officer was driving it. They have not had anymore Chevys...They switched to all SUVs, mostly Fords.
Reap what you sow, pay backs for dealers!
The employees at any DMV do not care how much the customers are inconvenienced because there is no competition. You can't go to another DMV that is not part of the same system. I went to the DMV in Reno, Nevada a few months ago and the line was around the building. They only allow walk-ins one day per week and if you try to book an appointment, the wait can be two months.
Commercial drivers don't have that problem. But hey, how many folks out there run commercial? Commercial DMV is in Sparks. Walk in, polite, fast, and extremely helpful.
I’ve lived in several states and DMV all sucks😱

I love your comments at 17:23. I am in California and last year I had an appointment at the DMV to renew my license. There are a lot of weird things that California state employees do while they are supposed to be working. In my case a DMV supervisor walked over to the clerk who was giving me the renewal paperwork had difficulty standing up. She was so drunk that she slipped and another clerk grabbed her so she wouldn't be injured. Why didn't this supervisor reach out to garb something so she could stabilize her fall? Because she had a drink in each hand while talking and walking, pretending to work while drunk. The other clerks seemed unaffected and was able to complete my paperwork. I did see one blind man ( white cane with red tip) trying to guess the correct eye chart letters. This is California where a fast food worker gets paid $20/hour = $41,600/year!
I was just at Cal DMV yesterday. Had an appointment at 2:10 pm. I was out of there at 2:15. They had 6 or 7 windows open and they were announcing next number at about 1 per minute. No drunk drinking on the job that I noticed.
@@rewing4880 Excellent, give me the address and I'll visit that office! As a dealer, that is the most ridiculous thing. I have mentioned that last year. In December, they gave the excuse that one lady was on vacation, so they had 1 lady doing dealerships. 170,000 miles on a Yukon means that transmission is going to be torn up and ready to go. The differential is going to cost you.
Most people don't take care of their transmission. When I had a 2011 Tundra, I was amazed by the number of guys with 6-speed transmission issues.
