Michael, since I wrote the note about Part 2 of Lola Montez, I've done some searching. I found not only Part 2 of Lola, but also a wonderful collection of history documentaries. I have thoroughly enjoyed your deep dives into your subjects. I especially enjoy how you backtrack, filling in the backgrounds of many characters in the stories. Also appreciate your explanations of things like palaquins and various ways of getting gold out of the ground. Your explanation of how a Canadian prospector remembered how Romans used water to loosen the gold, wash it down the hill where it became accessible, the various improvements to the water "hose" and the various chemicals used to enhance gold collection and the polluted streams, lakes, and starting ponds of the waste water that remains there, polluting land and water more than 150 years later. Thank you very much for the time and efforts you obviously dedicate to these documentaries.
Thank you so much for your kind words. If you live in the Roseville / Rocklin CA area, I’m giving a series of lectures on Japanese and Chinese immigration into N. CA. Date: August 22 @ 1:00 pm. The lecture is free. The discussion parallels my four part videos on the topic. The discussion contains new info. Hope you can attend.
@@michaelstark1 Thank you so much. I would love to attend, but I am in Bellingham, Washington, am disabled, and by that date I will be in the hospital undergoing or recovering from major surgery. I'll have to wail for the video. Thank you
Lola’s story has been told a number of times. In the 50’s, Hollywood made a movie, but…the whole story has never been told. I’d love for a TV series. A series which would try and stick to her actual life’s adventure.
Sorry you couldn’t find Part 2. True to my promise, unlike Mel Brooks “History of the World Part One”, Lola escapes the East Coast and heads to CA. ruclips.net/video/t0KjH-XcOsI/видео.html The video is found on my list of videos “Lola in CA”. www.RUclips.com/c/michaelstark1 Let me know if you still can’t find the video. Lola in CA is one of my favorite tales.
@@michaelstark1 just finished reading Divine Lola by Cristina Morato. What a fascinating story about a female hurricane who left heartache and destruction in her path. Wonder how psychologists would diagnose her condition

Where's part 2? In the description it says coming in Oct 2020. I'm writing in July 2021. I enjoyed part 1. Would love to see part 2.

Thank you for viewing “Lola”. I hope you also see part 2. Here I explain why so many CA places still carry her name.
