  • Solid south swell, calm wind and big tides, this is what happened in the Lagundri Bay at Nias.
Some stories from Petra and Site from the days:
"Some people said it was the best surf of their life, the conditions were really, really perfect, huge round open tunnels with sometimes up to an 8 second barrel time and no wind or calm offshore.
Even Site (local ripper and owner of Jambuare Lodge Nias) said that it was probably one of the best surf of his life, so it's fair to say this swell was a memorable one!
Enjoy the Nias show from the air this time!

The things I would do to get to surf Nias with a crowd that thin. These guys will have memories for life. I've been two separate times, and each time the line-up for weeks on end was 40-60 plus people. This looks like heaven.
