My second Hawkmoon from my very first chest was a god roll. :) Hammer-forged (+10 Range, no downsides), Polymer Grip (+10 handling, no downsides) and Rangefinder.

@@atsukana1704 Just run Malfeasance with Unstoppable mod and keep running and circling, stopping only briefly behind cover to take out the snipers. Stasis is great for stopping the Cabal from rushing you. I used Corsairs Wrath with Taken mod to take out the snipers. Malfeasance will chip away at the Cabal and if you land the 5 shots after staggering them, it does a very reasonable amount of damage with the benefit of always having ammo lying around.
I should've read the title more closely as I thought this was a video about the different perk combinations you could get but instead got a guide for the quest. I need new glasses
i had to solo it unfortunately, but its really ok. hard light would be a good idea, but i switched between ikelos smg, summoner and gnawing hunger, hawkmoon as primary and whatever in the heavy slot. as soon as the champions come in simply put the unstopable mod on ur arms and take out hawkmoon. for the last boss fight i used witherhoard,celestial nighthawk (hunter) gnawing hunger for the akolytes and the seasonal linear fusion rifle for the knights. theres probably a much easier way for solo runs but this worked quitte decent for me p.s. have a nice day :)
As I went on with this mission, I kept having PTSD flashbacks to Whisper of the Worm solo runs and how soul-consuming it could be...thank the lord this mission wasn't timed
@@cangooz2240 maybe my run bugged then because the adds just wouldn’t stop spawning and would get faster and faster until there’s a wall of acolyte eyes
@@hellaboveme500 taking out the solar knights stops the adds spawning on their respective side, so make that your priority. the void shielded enemies will continuously spawn eyes as well so take them out quickly.
I just tried it solo and I highly recommend getting at least one other person with you, the boss fight it relatively easy if you hide and swap between a solar and void fusion. The unstoppable fight is what took me a while just because of the tracking "missiles" hunters should just run top tree tether and go invis whenever you need to.
Heads up since he didn't show in the video, once you kill all 3 emissaries go back to the main corridor and look for a taken phalanx between turbines 1 and 2 he'll be guarding the door to the next area!
My wife and I beat this mission, it was the hardest challenge in destiny for us. To get enough feathers for the ship we had to run it multiple times and we noticed there are at least 2 versions of the boss fight, one was challenging but doable, the 2nd was a trip through hell. We now proudly fly the ship knowing this ship was earned, it's a trophy for spending hours and hours on this mission.
Kinda wish we unlocked perks on our one Hawkmoon, rather than having to get tons and tons of different versions of the same gun, but having the rolls and catalyst is awesome! Thanks for the vid.
Completed it solo last night but didn't get the catalyst nor random Hawkmoons which sucks. Got the triumph for finishing it in 15 minutes which even though it took me over an hour and a half to complete. Gotta love it when Bungie release buggy content ¬_¬
Just when I was letting the Sunset Sadness set in and bum me out, Papa Fallout comes to the rescue with fresh content and cool loot to chase, making me excited to play once again
I just completed this mission. Repeated waves for the boss fight at the end is challenging. Highly recommended to complete this in a team, save yourself from the agony.
Did this solo with 7th seraph ar, the new season special grenade launcher and anarchy. I used solar spec abilities especially blade barrage on the knights. I also had sniper and aoe damage resists on. Grenade launcher mods are very useful since they affect both grenade launchers. Every dps phase I went to the highest platform where the knight spawns and waited until anarchy phased the boss. When the knight spawns I would throw a grenade and try to kill it asap. It's fairly hard to get back up there alive especially when goblins are shielding the knight which is why you should kill this knight right at the start of add clear. Go kill the other knight and after this you can take all the time you need to clear the rest of the adds and prepare to repeat the same process two more times.
Celestial nighthawk is phenomenal for the final boss. Xenophage nukes everything (as usual), and a bubble titan is great for the encounter in the Lake of Shadows boss room. That’s the strat my team solidified on our attempt.

Solo flawless'd it my third ever attempt on a hunter without omnioculus. Took me about an hour, but that's only because I kept tabbing to look at a guide for the feathers. Used long shadow, riskrunner, and falling guillotine for everything except the boss room. For that I switched to sunshot.
Awesome mission, was fun trying to discover what to do with my friends, the difficulty and level design were also excellent. Bungie is doing a lot of stuff wrong, but this mission deserves recognition
I loved the mission. Running it solo blind was a pain and fairly difficult. 2 hours of annoying goblin shields and i get a god forsaken hip fire grip roll.
Almost did it solo, game crashed during final boss fight. Like hell was I doing the start again, went to LFG to get in with people at "Survive", one even pointed out the feathers before the last boss so it was beneficial in the end.
yah was a pain solo at first.. just finding the right spot to fight in the final boss a pain in ass.. if you're solo- at final boss CAMP initial spawn behind big rocks..hope that helps. Got killing wind/ Open shot/ and then a quick draw.. none with full choke- but hey i'll take kill wind / quick draw.. opening shot actually helps even if you in air-

sorry but moving target is not good on hawkmoon bc aim assist is already 93 and you get plus 10 from hand cannon targeting. you want killing wind, rangefinder, opening shot or eye of the storm

Range finder and hip grip fire will be a turn off for me as those are just pvp perks however opening shot moving target killing wind and eye of the Strom are for both pvp and pve
So I totally forgot about this being a thing. Went in to try it, and I feel like Bungie owes me an apology. Nowhere in this mission does it mention champions spawn. I hate arbitrary difficulty, and apparently thats the only thing Bungie knows how to do. Fortunately, hawkmoon is mediocre compared to other hand cannons so I'll safely skip that half and just collect feathers every week and exit out.
@Clockwork Man that’s because bungie thinks that player frustration and stupid, cheap mechanics equals “challenge” when in reality it’s not even close.
A friend and I did this last night, just the two of us...it took us around 2 hours, and we almost gave up like a half dozen times. But we finished it! Because we're too stupid to give up!
The first boss room is a bit too much for me, the only reason I survived when I got past the wizards was a well, and once that well ran out I was dead instantly, I get that people people want more challenging content, I do too, but I feel like this is a bit harsh to solo players that are more casual. Or maybe im a weak boi.
Okay when I made it to the final boss area I didn’t have a knight I had 2 taken centurions to fight and they are way too op the rest of the mission was a cakewalk then I made it there and can’t catch a break… I’m doing this in season of the lost
looks like if you bring the hawkmoon we all got itll reroll it (atleast the ? talent) and you get 2 not sure havent tested it by not bringing in hawkmoon but well see....thatll be cool if its 3 once per toon so 3 chances a week for the desired roll coolio. im curious if the mag changes i know the barrels do so the mag must curious what the god god roll is but im hoping my first one has rangefinder

In the final boss fight. You have to take out the 2 solar shielded enemies first, or everything will keep respawning

Try a truthteller towards the end, that shit wrecks everything in the final room

There’s a feather before you enter the boss room on the right. The ledge where the sniper is. To the right of where the last unstoppable spawns.

I thought the mission was super sick, and was happy to see that it was challenging if done solo. Unfortunately, my two random rolls were the same -.-.
What advice would u give for the boss room .? I can’t kill ads quick enough before they stack up and ruin me.
Use void weapon and solar weapon ,take your time don't rush ,there is safe spot as well , slowly but surely u can do it

i found the hatch thinking i found a bug and then did the whole thing solo. Glad i had my invisibility build.

Sadly the entire Hawkmoon quest has been bugged for me since it came out. No matter how many times I pick up the frame the next step never triggers.

I got mine with fluted barrel, quickdraw, and heavy grip. Holy crap is that gun snappy.
I did the last step of the hawkmoon quest solo, when I was like a 20 below the recommended power level.
I loved the mission.

I completed the mission solo. Took 2+ hours but I finished it. Was very challenging. Did it on my bubble titan. This mission is doable solo.

Probably just missed it at the end, but its once per week per character.
I ran it solo on console and it took a while. Killing wind on one and opening shot on the other. Barrel and grip options were meh.
