I think taniks is a perfect raid boss. Using darkness and exo technology to rebirth him. I can understand that people would be disappointed but personally I would consider it nitpicking. This is a raid I will hope ( but probably can't) to do.
Note - the broken blade you get from the Harpy shows up in your Heavy Slot before it gets reforged into The Lament (just like with the Salvation's Grip mission) so you should have an open heavy slot by default anyway. I like that for both this mission and Salvation's Grip Bungie designed the quests in a way that you get to run wild with the new weapon as part of the quest. I hope they do this with future heavy exotic quests too!
The sword kills don’t need to be on Europa btw I did mine in the first part of garden of salvation raid EDIT: also the hydras and other things you kill have to be a red bar just something I noticed

Tips for people immediately doing this after the campaign: After getting sword kills, you need to do Reclaiming Europa, and the quest line for The Dark Priestess.
Quick correction: For the Lament combo, you can get 4 light attacks in before the heavy. The way it works is that the buff runs out once you either stop attacking or the melee bar runs out. 4 light attacks leaves a little bit left which can be used for a heavy since any amount of energy will allow one to be performed. Basically as long as you aren’t guarding for to long, 4 attacks then a heavy is the most DPS.
i'll be honest every new exotic quest there is im just happy datto does these. but also hoping datto is resting well and having a nice thanksgiving weekend with all those he loves

*UPDATE ON THE BUG* If you have finished everything I’m about to list below and it’s still not tracking, just check for the launch-able destination left of Cadmus Ridge and above the Bray Exoscience on the map; that is the exo challenge. Idk why it doesn’t track, but assure you, that is indeed the next step. If you’re stuck on the exo challenge not showing up when you track it, make sure you have also finished the “Reclaiming Europa” quest from Zavala. Also, it is encouraged to finish an empire hunt acquirable through Variks’ menu. (Note - I believe you had to do 2 of the tier 1 missions for a story piece.) Once you have completed the empire hunt and all of the story, it still may not track! Fear not, there should be a new selectable mission start on the map just left of Cadmus Ridge and above the Bray Exoscience. Launch the mission, climb to the top, kill the hydra, and you should be problem free from there. Hope this helps.
Most certainly. Takes less damage ammo to fully kill a champion which basically means it’s ammo to damage ration is better. The only to downsides is that it’s not as great at ad clear and that it takes up the exotic slot. This thing will shred with Lucent Blade though.
Unexpected ASMR is unexpected Also, the Lament is a sword, that you can rev, and you have to time it precisely to get big damage. I see where you are getting your inspiration from Bungie, you don't think I saw it, but I do. Really sneaky Bungie, really sneaky.
Not bugged, just a lot to do and easy to mess up for a lot of people. It'll be one of those encounters like kings fall totems thats easy with a good fireteam. Or impossible with a not so good one.

I have already done them on my titan and hunter, but I started the Lament quest on my Warlock and I have an extra step because of it.

yo datto idk if you will see this but one of my quests isnt working. Its the Umbral excursions quest. Im stuck on 49% Why is that? Ive killed many of each necessary powerful enemies with stasis and still doesnt go up. Is it europa based?
there is also a dead exo in the well of infinitude. its located on a ledge the area before the open field where a brigg would drop in the empire hunt quest.
This may have already been recommended, but I did the Glass way strike five times, and got the 100 vex and 20 bosses. Took about an hour to an hour and a half😉
In regards to the Minotaur kills, I found that if you use your heavy spin attack with the falling guillotine which should just instantly obliterate the Minotaur, it will count as a kill for the quest

The health bar would glitch but that was the only glitch i found
