Much agreed, she didn't deserve to die & be thrown away like a used Kleenex. I also agree that cheating on a serviceman, with another married serviceman & hoping you'll get proposed to by the guy on the side is a whole different level of foolishness. As I recall relationships on post are supposed to be held to a whole other level than those in the civilian world. It's meant to prevent drama, like what started this tragedy, from starting in the first place. It's demoralizing, can cause hostilities between unit members & can take valued service personnel into a headspace they ought not to be in. This murderer had psychological issues from the outset. I think he was a sociopath; Maybe a psychopath. These stories talked about on post should have thrown up red flags about this man & had him on a list for routine psyche evals.
The husband got out of 1 of the worst marriages possible. He lost a cheating wife, and lost an unloyal friend. In the end, he also got the life insurance policy which is around $200,000 for his cheating wife. I'm sure he is doing better knowing the truth of all this.
This girl Erin was delusional, married herself, but hoping that her secret lover who was also married would propose to her, that sounds really insane to me. plus her friends cheering her on and supporting this behavior, damn...
She was 19, that's ridiculously young to get married and settled down, especially these days, people seem even more immature. She was a silly little girl playing with fire and other people's emotions and lives
@@CW1971The average age of marriage was about 20 in 1940-1950. When that age passes 28, society is on the backslide (and we've gone passed that number).

I fail to see what the age of marriage has to do with the downfall of civilisation, where I am the age of marriage has risen for many reasons including more people getting further education and people not marrying at all
One thing I have always said, If they will cheat with you - they will cheat on you. Even if you don't have enough respect for someone else, have enough respect for your self to leave people well enough alone who are in a relationship.
That is correct' The same applies to gossip. When someone gossips to you about someone else -- You can guarantee that they gossip to someone else about you. Gossip is a social poison The best one can do in such a situation is to dump the toxic friends - because they are NOT your friends
Bullshit, if you think she's not an innocent victim of murder, then you are literally saying she deserved what happened to her because she was an adulterer. You were moved to make a veiled condemnation of her, as the adulterer, but make absolutely zero comment on the man that cheated on his wife and then murdered a woman who was pregnant with his child. Which means you're more apalled at her having cheated on her husband, than you are at the husband's friend, who also cheated AND murdered a pregnant woman!! WTF?
@@SM-McKraken Sleeping with another woman is not really cheating for a man. Whereas a woman sleeping around is most certainly cheating. That has to do with what each person looks for in a partner. Women date for money and resources as proven by science. Men date only for love, s3x and LOYALTY as proven by science. A women cheating is the equivalent of a man lying about all his money and spending it on another woman instead. Not to mention the damage female promiscuity causes society and id say this is simply karma
@@SM-McKraken She’s saying the only *innocent* victim, although I disagree with her as the rest of the family members involved were also innocent. Yes, the murder victim didn’t necessarily deserve to be murdered from our modern moral standpoint but that doesn’t reduce the cruel, selfish & incredibly destructive action she committed in cheating on her own husband, and having an affair with a married man, allegedly allowing herself to get impregnated by him. Cheating on someone who’s in love with you is unbelievably cruel and inhumane, and doing so with someone who is also married is doubly-so. It’s incredibly inconsiderate and selfish and has resulted in the complete ruination of some of the most decent individuals throughout Humanity’s history-and also destroys countless lives every year on planet Earth . Did she consider any of her kids when she allowed this adultery to take place? No. What about her husband? Clearly not. What about the wife or children of the man she was having an affair with? Definitely not. Its entirely possible to feel empathy and sadness towards a victim of murder while also acknowledging the wrongdoings that they committed which opened them up to what happened to them. Most pre-Christian European cultures would have trials whenever a man or woman committed adultery & usually the betrayed spouse would be brought before the village Earl or Chieftain & asked wether they wanted the adulterer to be executed or exiled from the village. These customs existed for a reason that entire nations felt valid for innumerable generations. An individual’s *choices, matter.* This is why we choose consequences befitting as such.
I'm glad you mentioned that. I used to watch the show every single day. But I stopped when they went to a different type of format. It's awful. The standard episodes are by far the best way to go.
I find it weird that Erin's family make her out to be this innocent little girl. She didn't deserve what happened to her, by any means, but her really terrible and not in any way innocent choices cost her her life. I just feel the worst for her actual husband. He really is a total victim in this.
i think one looks at the perspective of the parents the love of their daughters outweighs those actions. I agree though that she was not innocent at all. I feel for the husband, the wife and children of the murderer and the parents of Erin even.
Yes couldn’t agree more. I find her mother taking this so lightly and talking causally about the event & definitiely acting like her daughter is a victim. Well I hope she realizes that her daughter did wrong and soffocated her poor husband who truly cared about her . She didn’t deserve to die but she needs to understand her daughter is also accountable for her death

This is actually common place. Not murder but I seen it for 20 years in the Army. Young married couple at their first duty station, wife’s first time away from small town USA, husband gone alot, lots of muscular fit guys giving her all the attention she wants. Never ends well.

Did it ever occur to you it was his fault? What if he was beating her or harassing her? How do you know she was not the victim in the entire situation? I guarantee he was a wife beater and treated her like crap. Women deserve respect and if their current man can't provide that, she needs to go elsewhere. Good for her, to bad the situation backfired.
I missed where her mother and friend spoke badly about the marine husband. I heard both the mother and father say that they thought he was nice, but were just worried that their daughter might close herself off, if she moved out of state with him, because she didn’t know anyone.

To lure someone to their death and casually talks about murder like that is a cold hearted psychopath. It doesn’t matter if someone cheats (even if it’s wrong) you don’t EVER kill another person.
This truly was a fatal attraction. Cheating on your husband with your eventual killer. A "married" woman texting a girlfriend she's hoping her "fling" boyfriend will propose to her??? WTF? She didn't deserve to die but she put herself in what became a deadly situation. Sad story indeed.
@crimewatch It is unsettling how Erin's parents and friend are smiling and casually interviewing abt her. Amst like they r talking abt her birthday party and not her murder. No tear, no sadness. Also, Erin was a cheater. There is no underplaying that, even if she unfortunately got murdered for it...But, if your parents aren't sad about your death, then it says a lot about you

I’m sure you meant “trustworthy”, but with that said, I wish it was so easy to teach kids that all types of people can be lying evil scum, even the cute boy who lives down the street, with our words. Certainly there’s no harm in trying, and providing support and open lines of communication w/our kids is everything, but in my experience, as flawed beings we are stubborn dickheads and most of us need to learn these types of things on our own.
It's impossible to be a good judge of character without learning how narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths behave and their thought process and motives. They are the ones you need to watch out for and they're everywhere. Every single person in the world knows at least a few narcissists. Do not trust anyone if they’re willing to have an affair. How you get them is how you lose them. There are some exceptions to the rule but overall cheaters are people not to get involved with. People are capable of horrible things and we need to stay vigilant for our own sakes. If your gut tells you something is off, follow that because there usually is something wrong. That guy was capable of murder and she had no idea. I feel terrible for her husband, family and friends. May they have peace and solace. 😢
And it goes both ways... The cheater and the one willing to date a cheater. The top 2 requirements for even having a chance at a successful relationship is 1) trust and 2) good communication. Any relationship that begins with lieing, threats, ultimatums etc. are 100% doomed to fail, often in very ugly ways.

I spent four years on active duty in the U.S. Army. I can say without equivocation that marriage and the military do not mix and that's whether a servicemember's spouse is active-duty military or a civilian. The things I've seen and even done myself, I am not honored to say, will blow anybody's mind. Whenever I see videos of wives waving little flags and greeting their husbands returning from deployment, it just makes me cringe.
@keller109 it means 65% of the service people cheat on their spouse and 50% of the stay at home spouses cheat on their service men or women. The whole military society is nothing but cheaters and ripe with sexual diseases.
yeah, yall are either cheaters or beaters. Adultery and sexual deviancy runs rampant with yall. My sisters husband is in the us army and this dude straight up told her he's a serial cheater when he got caught and wouldn't change. I wouldn't date or marry yall even if a gun were pointed at my head.
That's not really true. Not only I did 9 years in the Army but an Air Force brat. My father served 20 years in the Air Force and never once cheated on my mother nor did she. Sorry but just because you went through some hard times doesn't mean everyone has the same fate. During my 9 years in the Army I have met VERY successful couples serving either together or one serving and the other working civilian jobs to keep their family together. What makes me cringe is how you spit on those with successful relations just because you didn't have a good one. You have NO right to say that about everyone. I even had a boss who retired from the military and had a wonderful wife during his time serving and their marriage is still strong. If you think military and marriage or relationship don't mix then you are hanging out with the wrong crowd. Just because you had it bad doesn't mean you have the right to spite those who proved your comment wrong and have a strong marriage before, during and/or after serving.
@@keller109 Its not really that bad. Some people have to bring others down and thinking they know everyone. Not all marriage and relationship in the military is as bad you think. In fact A LOT of couple have a good life during and after serving.

For that second video, people, if a cop reads you your Miranda rights (which makes no sense given the situation) then stop talking and get a lawyer. If you have to say anything let it be explaining you won’t talk without a lawyer. They can arrest you whether it’s right or not, so don’t fight them. Take care of it in court and if you have a right to not say anything, but they then arrest you for not acting anything obviously you can sue.
If she had been armed she was within her rights to shoot the cop, and she would have skated as a matter of law. The arrest was completely, TOTALLY unlawful. It was kidnapping/unlawful confinement. The courts have repeatedly ruled that ANY arrest w/o a warrant, absent certain specific circumstances, is a violation of the 4th Amendment. Those circumstances are that the crime must be an ongoing breach of the peace, AND be committed in the presence of the officer/arrestor (true with citizen's arrest as well). ALL OTHER CASES REQUIRE A WARRANT. They found her once, they could've found her again. She was a solid citizen. If they had gone to the trouble of getting a sworn statement from the alleged victim, and then visiting a judge, they could've been in the clear. As it was, the cop risked his life, because it would've been permissible for any armed bystander to put 2 in this pigs' head - he's an armed felon committing an ongoing breach of the peace in the presence of the enforcer.

But I especially feel bad for the baby and for the husband who was cheated on and became a suspect in her murder when he was innocent. So many hurt lives, it pains me.
This all happened miles from my home. I'll never forget that. I've been to this mine also.. absolutely terrifying. The 29 Palms Marine Base sadly has a lot of gruesome violence and domestic violence. I think the heat makes people nuts here.
There is probably a lot of DV because the wives on base are getting ran through by every soldier around. Does someone deserve to die for that no but her 304 actions are 100% responsible for her death.
@crimewatch It is unsettling how Erin's parents and friend are smiling and casually interviewing abt her. Amst like they r talking abt her birthday party and not her murder. No tear, no sadness. That woman was in the wrong, she popped attitude, and resisted complying with the officer told her she, by law was obligated to not leave the scene of the accident...despite what she thought. Also, you cannot use being a girl as an excuse to not be handled in such a manner when you're not accepting you broke a law, non-compliant, kicking and screaming at an officer, and act like you're not in the wrong at all.
I was involved in a minor accident where somebody hit me. The two drivers involved, me being one of them, decided we didn’t need the police. When the officer arrived, we told him we didn’t need him.
I wish she didn’t die but they’re on here talking like she wasn’t cheating kissing her husband beforehand while also saying the killer tried to bring down her character as she lied to her husband excited to be proposed to. Mother said “I wonder what her daughter was thinking when she thought she loved and could trust this person” as she should’ve been home with the man who vowed to love her and trust her. She put herself in that situation, not anyone else, again, I wish she wasn’t dead but this ish happens to people when they're doing wrong all the time
Since when does sarcasm get a person arrested?!? Leo with no communication skills?? Nothing new. I’m all for policing but this is nonsense I can understand why people are afraid of a regular ole person with a badge.
About the arrest... The officer should have SAID, "You are under arrest" - not, "Turn around". In his head, he hears, "I am arresting her" - but she didn't know wtf was happening to her. That said, never resist arrest! It can be sorted out later, but when told you're under arrest - you do what the officer tells you to do. Even when you think they are wrong. Live today, sue them tomorrow!
yes, first of, Don't call anybody honey. He's not your husband or friend, he's there doing his job. Second, she's the first to push and maybe kick. Don't resist. You'll be in more trouble than you already are. I was given a speeding ticket once. I wanted to give my side of the story to the police but this police kept saying just tell that to the judge or pay the fine. I refused to pay and went to court. In court, I asked the judge what happens when the police officer lies. I gave my full account and the court dismissed my case. Although I was told to pay $64 for court fee. I could have fought for it but I just paid it. ... As for the police officer, he could have handled it better. Being a hot head won't help him. He is in a position that he could be judged by his action.
@@williamclayton9566 Yes, of COURSE it was totally unlawful. But if these officers gave 2 shits about that, they wouldn't be doing a totally unlawful arrest in the first place, would they! You can sue them tomorrow.
She knew exactly what was going on. The cop told her multiple times that she'd committed a criminal offence by leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. He even read her out her miranda rights. After they got her back to her feet she starts whining like a 5-year-old, "How could you do this to a girl?".
Since she'd been mirandized, she had every right to say "then don't talk to me"...he just didn't like it and decided to use his "authority". He even said "I COULD arrest you" insinuating that he wasn't planning on it.

Absolutely ridiculous. & the fact that it got dropped sucks because I bet she thinks she was right . She has PTSD because of her own attitude . Goofy.
When gauging a person you expect to be with for the rest of your life, you always pay attention to their friends and family. Erin's mother seems like she isn't even bothered by the fact that her pregnant daughter is dead and was murdered. I couldn't detect any real emotion in her interviews here. Being a good animal lover and friends with others, doesn't make anyone a good human being. By 19 years of age, if you still don't learn the basics about morals in life, then it is very difficult for an individual to live a peaceful life. Also, this is not a Love Triangle at all. Husband was in the dark, he was cheated on by his wife and the AP. This can be a love triangle, only if the husband was consciously involved in any of this drama. My heart goes for the husband, who became a victim of infidelity, trust, widower, and backstabbed by friends. Evil decisions and choices in life, always end badly. Good luck and good wishes for the husband, may he find someone worthy enough for him.
I'm just happy that he was still a young man when his wife decided to destroy the life they were trying to build together. Hopefully he was able to move on, find a worthy mate and have a productive military career. Yeah, you are just a girl when its convenient for you to be. LOL!! 😉😉😉 Ladies, stop playing the victim card. Take responsibility. She knew she should have stopped. Guilty.
This is the type of lady who never does anything wrong. She has to stop and report that’s the part of the driving test. If you know use of force. She was at fault and if she files suit she will get laughed at. Always the victim! It’s ridiculous that someone actually believes that this is improper use of force.
Double adultery, and she was dumb enough to believe he would marry her. If he's being unfaithful to his current wife and you to your current husband, then how could you ever trust them? Also, in the military, having an affair is a criminal offense and would result in Lee's dishonorable discharge.
As a veteran, hardly anyone gets dishonorable discharges for affairs. The men and officers in charge who have to file the case know they have skeletons in their closet...cheating is so rampant in the military. They can’t prosecute with a straight face. If they do condemn it they’re usually more upset for the soldier for getting caught and forcing their hand and not the act itself. The discarded spouse would have to really be on it and press for it and that spouse is unlikely to do so because they may lose benefits if the soldier gets a dishonorable discharge.
Always freaks me out how regular folk become murderers. It affects the way I live. If a man gets angry in my presence...whether my own brother or a stranger...I immediately walk away. I also never put myself in situations where I'm physically trapped. To this day I sleep with a locked door . To me everyone is a murderer-in-waiting😂.
But ^this wasn't just some regular guy who suddenly became a murderer. This guy had been talking with his wife and friends about how he could kill someone and successfully dispose of a body. It sounds like he was just waiting for an opportunity to do that.
What police never acknowledge is it's their literal job to be courteous, think critically, and de-escalate problems, but then they try to throw equal responsibility on citizens. It's not their job it's yours. Unless someone is being physically violent there's no reason for it.
They escalated that interaction really badly. Like yeah, the lady was being a Karen and should have just not said anything, and immediately asked for a lawyer... but being arrested for a tiny fender bender at work is probably going to make most people pretty pissed! Oh really, no one at all? You’re out of touch, hun. Probably lived a sheltered life.

All psychopaths are narcissists but not all narcissists are psychopaths. All narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths lack empathy, which allows them to do horrific things on purpose.

Do not trust anyone if they’re willing to have an affair. How you get them is how you lose them. There are some exceptions to the rule but overall cheaters are people not to get involved with.
Can you specify what you mean? I never thought it was that bad

I wish she didn’t die but they’re on here talking like she wasn’t cheating kissing her husband beforehand while also saying the killer tried to bring down her character as she lied to her husband excited to be proposed to.
@@williamclayton9566
Yes, of COURSE it was totally unlawful. But if these officers gave 2 shits about that, they wouldn't be doing a totally unlawful arrest in the first place, would they! My point was, that regardless of whether you think that the cops are completely in the wrong, and even if you KNOW they are in the wrong - for your own safety & wellbeing - just don't give them ANY REASON AT ALL to shoot you- if you want to stay alive & even remain unharmed, then DON'T resist arrest.. the police station isn't far away so sort it all out there in the presence of rational, law-abiding officers! You can sue them tomorrow.
She should have just been given a ticket and told to appear in court. This stupid cop was on a power trip.

When gauging a person you expect to be with for the rest of your life, you always pay attention to their friends and family. Erin's mother seems like she isn't even bothered by the fact that her pregnant daughter is dead and was murdered. I couldn't detect any real emotion in her interviews here. That should have been a huge red flag. Her so-called friend didn't even have the decency to tell her husband about what was going on. Red flag #2. I'm sure there's a ton of others. The only person I really feel bad for is Erin's husband. He didn't deserve any of this. I hope he can move on and find someone who really cherishes him.
It should be noted that people who cheat on their husbands or wives are so terribly despised that most won't even have sympathy for them dying. I can guarantee you most others in this comment section will say the same. If only people would think beforehand.

Remember kids, the police are not there to “serve and protect,” but to enforce laws. Do not invite them into your homes, do not talk to them without a lawyer present, but most importantly try not to do anything that might cause you to be in the crosshairs of any law enforcement officer. You do wrong, you’ll be arrested and possibly ruin your lives. They do wrong, they’ll investigate themselves and find no wrongdoing.

I've always heard not get into serious relationships while in military to avoid unexpected surprises when you come home. But I realised, this kind of situation can happen to any non military couple.
I wonder how he received an honorable discharge before he moved to Alaska. Surely they knew he was under suspension.
Lol nobody gets a dishonorable discharge for cheating. You wouldn't even be put out of the military at all unless there were other factors involved.
