Good explanation of how to interface sensors via the Arduino ecosystem into Alexa, to trigger subsequent Alexa actions. I'll use these concepts (not the piezo but other external DIY sensor technologies) to monitor the driveway to start, announcing the arrival of vehicles. It can be extended from there... Thank you !!
@Hugh Aydin oh wow... thanks for the tip, I'll definitely give it a miss! I use netflix myself... It has way more content than flixzone and they don't have any adverts or take hundreds of pounds out of my account once the free trial is over!
Thats a very nice video and tutorial! I know how much work you must have put into it, you deserve way more subscribers as you have right now! So +1 here! Keep it up buddy! Greetings from a maker colleague from Germany - Felix
Many thanks for this. It works a treat. Maybe you could do a video by using a bell push and a digital i/p maybe. First time i've used smart nest and I may add some more to it.
Where did you actually get he sketch from? does the broker ,smartnest provide example sketches? do they have any for a simple contact sensor I can make by using a normally open magnetic reed switch? or for a motion sensor?
I've done the same with a $12 aqara vibration sensor stuck to my door and linked to home assistant which then sends a doorbell sound to my echos and displays a message on my TV.
@@wmb3858 you could do but you’d have to essentially create 2 doors bells in the Arduino script, and make 2 doorbells in SmartNest. If you just wanted a switch with no doorbell it’s a lot easier to do. 😅

It's a great video and a very clever way to use a piezoelectric sensor! You've got yourself a new subscriber :)
Nice work 😃
I need to know one thing can we use push button ? If yes please send circuit diagram and codes please

Plz make more home automation projects using smartnest
Is there any way this could be used as a more traditional doorbell i.e replace the Piezo sensor with a push button?
Yes of course. There is a tutorial on how to do this on Smartnest’s RUclips page.
Great tutorial. Thanks

ruclips.net/video/FR4HdwRXhiI/видео.html Smartnest do many of their own tutorials, you might find what you need there. Thank you!

How can i use it with google home? Thank you, nice work!
can we use switch in place of sensor
correct me if i am missing it but i believe your code isnt linked in the description sir :/ could you please update! thanks
Will do , apologies.
I've updated the description! Let me know if you have any other issues.
sketch doesnt show up when I open it what I I not doing?
Alexa will work for this project with arduino nano 33? thanks
I’d be very surprised if it didn’t. Download the libraries and see if the code will upload to the board. If it does I don’t see why it would not work.
excellent video you do it am really impressed by this
Thank you kindly :)
Thanks!! It´s working here :-)
it can run routines in alexa? like a trigger?
Yes, I use a routine to send a notification to my phone.
@@techstuffdiy7947 can I put more than one button?
to trigger different routines

Hello??
Good idea, well made video, demonstrates innate knowledge of the subject matter.
Thank you very much!
