- I got my Jim Lee CGC signature series cards back from the signing. I'm really happy with one of the cards but this didn't turn out as well as I had hoped and it has nothing to do with the grades.

Signature Series slabs look awesome.
I’ve sent in books for the last 3 Jim Lee signings and have requested specific ink colors every single time and every single time he has signed in the specific color I have asked. He’s really good about that.
I think they all came out nice, macfarlane set the bar too high. I always send my own marker to signings now to make sure it’s done how I want.
I agree that the ink choice on the base Wolverine isn't great. Sadly, I've not been able to do any of the signature events, so I don't know the policies.

I’ve been similarly disappointed when having cards signed at signings where I wasn’t present. Sucks when that happens
Just as a quick note with the shipping, may be time for a mailbox at a local postal store. Also good to have for shipping/receiving if you’re doing that regularly with ppl. Got that set up a while ago and I’m surprised how much peace of mind it’s added to my life

The holograms are a roll of the dice reguardless.. They are so fragile as is.. Base Wolvy, i'd agree.. A silver, lime green, or orange paint pen would have been a top notch choice.. Magneto turned out great.. Sports cards private signings, you can request a color.. You can even send in your on pens, i've done that before.. Meh, not bad though..

That Wolverine may appeal to someone who likes a verified signature that doesn't stand out. The black ink actually goes well with elements of his suit and the card border.
Yeah I agree with the marker choice...silver is better .
This is completely normal. Don't ever ask for sketches, you'll be highly disappointed. Cgc follows this mantra - "you get what you get and you don't get upset." 😂
Todd is great about caring how art looks after he signs it. Also video would be much better if you did true reveal and didnt see them before to get true reaction.
Obviously he had different color pens, but card #1 gold, #2 black is ok, #3 silver #4 ✅

I was extremely disappointed myself. His signature on my 1992 Impel Psylocke was black and faded. Terrible placement as well. As if he put no effort into it.
Todd uses color cuz he's has a diva mentality. All his sigs need to stand out from the others sigs/artist. Some artists prefer black to keep the focus on the cover/art. Kirby didn't sign cover art. Todd likes to use color pens and rarely signs anything in black

Not at all. They completely fudged this up. And I really do think it’s Jim Lee not really caring how he’s signing. Though I also think CGC has a responsibility to direct him if they’re watching him sign and maybe help along the way to use proper pens and ink colors. And oh by the way it could’ve been worse….they could have sent your card back not even signed like they did to me. How does that even happen. Great job CGC (sarcasm level through the roof)
What did they up doing for you on that?
@@NEO_Cards_Comics nothing yet. Still waiting. Only just got a response yesterday that they were “looking into it” and that they’ll get back to me with a solution when they figure out what that is I guess.
Yeah its just lazy. Whether it be him or cgc, just screams ok lets get this over with.
