Great test. Thanks for the examples and the conclusions. I'm not sure it's necessary to go as high as 1/1250 but certainly low shutter speeds (like normal) are a bad idea. It's a lot more discreet to shoot without two-handed gimbal with a tiny ZV-E1 with small lenses.

Thanks. It's good this was shot around the foliage. Cause active and active dynamic seems not to like slower shutter speeds and create artifacts (same for catalyst browse stabe).
Generally all are kinda meh ... useful for vlogging or stuff like that, but I guess any commercial work means gimbal or steady cam ...

      Yes! Sony SEL24240 (24 - 240 mm) 0:10

do you notice any quality loss when using Dynamic active?

    • @yoshi-movies
      @yoshi-movies  Год назад +2

Actually, I should have noticed a loss of quality, since the picture is digitally cropped by the camera.
In fact, I don't see any loss of quality with 4k resolution and a 65" oled.
in combination with a short shutter of at least 200 (rather more) i am very convinced of the active and the dynamically active stabilization.
It also works better for me than davinci stabilization.
I would use this in addition (not too much) if necessary.

@@yoshi-movies Revisiting your post after 1 year. I got my ZV-E1 in January but haven't used it for casual videography as much as I'd hoped. But today, I took it outside and was surprised by the jittery my hand produces when panning/walking. I did the same with A7IV but this big camera has less jittery. I will try again for the walking and panning tests with ZV-E1 on a handle.

@halimrahman thanks for your reply! Can you make a comparison? I think with the correct settings, the zv-e1 will make a very good view 😀👍.
If you would make cinematic video, the short shutter with 1/250 is to short. But just for stability use higher shutter and it look very good and useful, isn't it?

Can you do a comparison with a lens that has OSS with SONY ZV-E1 stabilization options on and off?

    • @yoshi-movies

      Sure 🤙
      I'll do it tomorrow 🙂

I just checked. The sel24240 has OSS. It was disabled and for time active (while stabilized) in this film. Want a two lens comparison where one has OSS and one doesn't? Greetings!

To get around RUclips compression the best way to do it is to upload an 8K version and have RUclips downres it to 4K (strangely enough).
