    Difference between a new stitcher and an experienced stitcher-10 minutes. Difference between an experienced stitcher and an advanced stitcher-1 hour. I’ve been stitching since I was 6, and there isn’t any difference between the way I stitched then and the way I stitch 50 years later. That’s the beauty of cross stitch. It’s dead simple and as long as you can count to 10 and make an x in the provided spaces-you’re good! I think that’s why it’s so popular in addition to we’re replicating art or designs that showcase someone else’s creativity so we end up looking pretty talented.
    Your work is beautiful and you are a very quick stitcher-enjoyed the video very much!😊

    Your video was so enjoyable. I admire those stitchers who can do total coverage! And your fancy ladies are wonderful, bright, sparkly and shiny. Keep up the good work. There is a wide world of stitchers on floss tube; it is wonderful that I can sit in the States and watch a Scottish stitcher. I am sure you will find many stitchy friends.

    I’ll admit your channel name is what drew me in lol! I love your accent! I taught myself to stitch during Covid and quickly fell in love with full coverage. It’s basically all I stitch now. I haven’t finished one yet lol I keep wanting to start all the things but I’m a process stitcher. Most of my WIPS are barely started because I can’t focus on just one. Just started a new one again today 😂

    • @Ashlleighthedistractedstitcher
      @Ashlleighthedistractedstitcher  17 дней назад +1

      Thank you! 🩷 I fell back in love during covid so it’s nice to see so many people finding the hobby when the world was at its worst 🩷 I was the same and then I realised I hated starts and love seeing the process and progress so stuck it out on each project until I could see something. So when I work a project now I set a goal “finish his face” “finish this page” “finish this section of the dress” etc and it helps see the progress while feeling like mini finishes 🩷

I more recently found mirabilia , WOW! Havent done more then a couple quilt blocks this year 😉 hard to choose....like pokeman i want to collect them all, lol!

    Hi Ashleigh from NJ in the US. You popped up on my feed today, and I'm soooo glad you did. I thoroughly enjoyed your video and hope to see many, many more in the future. I'm a special fan of fancy ladies and mermaids, although I do enjoy all genres of stitching. I only have 2 HAEDs on the go, and I have to be in the right frame of mind to work on them, tbh. I also have a lot of WIPS on the go. If I get bored, I have to move on to something else or I'll just stop stitching altogether. Take care and hope to see you soon. Steph

    Welcome to ft! Ur fancy ladies are gorgeous!!! U sound just like me w my stitching- I learned at 10 tho and went back n forth w it but when covid hit that's when I dove head first ...and DEEEEEEEEP 😂. Also went haed and other full coverage crazy; currently have about 6 kitted up but only 2 actually started. The rest of my many wips aren't fully but range in size.
    I'm a completist too and series really get me...whether it's books, x stitch stuff, toys, doesn't matter if it's a series and I like it my brain will not let me rest til I collect em all lolol...it's a blessing and a curse i guess!

    Hi Ashlleigh! Welcome to floss tube. Great first one. Your stitching is beautiful and you have such interesting projects. Looking forward to seeing which projects call to you next. I have been stitching for almost 60 years, starting with stamped embroidery and cross stitch, then finally in the 1980s was introduced to counted cross stitch and now do mostly counted with an occasional stamped piece thrown in, although my stitching has been extremely slow lately as I was sick from the beginning of February and am just now starting to feel somewhat better. Being immunocompromised is no fun at all. I live in the U.S., currently having lived in Texas since December of 2020 where my mom and I moved to be closer to my daughter and soon-to-be born grandson after my second divorce after both being 20+ year relationships. Fast forward and now my grandson is a rambunctious 3+-year-old who I take care of overnight 2 or more nights a week for a total of about 56 hours per week. He definitely keeps me busy and I am totally wiped out afterwards but I love being a hands-on grandma instead of a video grandma, especially since he is probably the only grandchild I will have since my daughter will be 40 this year. I really enjoy your channel and you will find that I am quite chatty in the comments, so if that is something that will bother you, please let me know and I will try to shorten them for you. I have already subscribed to you channel and I hope you enjoy your time on floss tube. Dawn in Texas, USA

    Hi! Loved your first video and your projects are so pretty.
    As someone who is also severly Adhd I can say the struggle is real. I have a hard time not getting bored with projects and dread block stitching which prompts me to start all the things and continuously switch between them. I can also really relate to hating tent stitch. My brain just can´t handle the look of it and stitching like this feels so wrong for me.

But where we differ is I cannot jump about my projects, I took me ages to actually get two together going really. I tend to stitch on just one. Love your stitching! I'm same way, I get paralyzed by what project to do next, and I get distracted easily when working on a project. I'll work on it for a few days, then want to grab something else, but don't know what to grab. Then I stand there looking at my projects debating. Usually I tend to grab something on a q snap and dont' like changing them. I only have about 20 q snaps. When I get really motivated to work on something, I'll swap q snaps. I think I have 80 or 90 wips, some have only a few stitches. Started stitching 1996, and I have 2 finishes.....
