Great to meet you😊 Your broad range of wips is wonderful and refreshing. I love your fabric colour choice for Remember Me…just WoW! I look forward to watching more of your show and tells.
Really enjoyed your flosstube so I hope you do more You sort of remind me of the potty mouth stitcher with your sense of humour I love her! It was nice to see different patterns I don’t like scary movies & your Evil Dead one was scary! Don’t think I could have that in my house My brother would have loved it though Hope you do more stories about your Mum & include info about the birds you do I really enjoy these things Looking forward to your next flosstube!
I laughed so hard when I watched your video! And I stayed to the very end! Can’t wait to watch the others you’ve posted! ❤️ Also, don’t apologize for telling stories about your mother! I love doing that too, and she sounds like she was a hoot!
Just keep stitching recommend your floss tube video and I'm really enjoying all your WIPs! Your work is absolutely beautiful ❤. I took lived in Maryland, not from there but lived in Elliott City and Frederick. Love your humor 😂. Can't wait to watch the rest of your videos!
Love that you started your floss tube. I’m a long time X stitcher (knitter) too and came back once the Pandemic started. I’m really enjoying it now. So many new products, designers and all kinds of other things. Really enjoyed your video. Thanks so much for sharing.❤😊
Hi Wendy! Welcome! Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. I loved your video from the start, especially your card and needle minder genius! But when you said 'life is short, don't iron!' I knew we were kindred spirits! 😂😂😂 Can't wait to see more. Congratulations! 🎉
Wendy!! Great WIP parade and welcome to flosstube! You did an amazing job! The praying mantis looks amazing! That's incredible that you designed that. I love the sheep pattern you're doing! So fun! Wow your SAGA is so fun! Amazing job on the color choices. hahaha we totally completed the top row together :). yay us! omg the 1 over 1 eel!! So cute. That's a fun idea! Love your Aimee Stewart piece! great job on your first flosstube!!
I just gave my first try at parking literally about an hour ago. I’ve watched enough videos that I decided I was ready. Wish me luck! Love your chill vibe ❤
I'm glad I found you. I've really enjoyed meeting you and watching your video . I watched it all. I love the cross stitch pieces you are doing. The color of fabrics that you use and the way you change the threads and add color to make it your own. I can't wait to watch your next video.
Hi there from Maryland ♥️💛🖤I had to pause your video to go and buy myself a copy of the Evil Dead 2 book. We are big fans in this house 💀 I LOVE the change you are making to the verse on the Brenda Keys pattern! I just loved the story about your mom ♥️she sounded like an amazing lady, and the TK pattern is breathtaking in those colors! I also love the color you chose for the Warblers. It’s kind of giving dappled light through a tree canopy. Just lovely! I could literally gush over every one of your WIPs. This was an amazing first video!! Happy stitching ♥️
Just finished watching this deep-dive into the matrix of your stitching mind. And I survived it! In fact, I'm quite excited to find out someone else has out-of-the-box thoughts and ideas about stitching. It was a great ride. I'm now subscribed, and I'll be back to watch #2 and any future videos. Thanks for sharing.
What a great first flosstube! I had the Evil Dead book bought before you pulled the WIP out! Looking forward to more videos and seeing your projects come to life.
Watched it all and subscribed! Came over here after Pam recommended you, and you did not disappoint! You literally had me cracking up laughing several times!! Keep up the good work, on to watch #2! 😻
Wendy. I watch too much Flosstube, and have quite a few favorites, but you are someone I just wish I could hang out and stitch with! I thought about commenting maybe 5 times already because of your personality and what you stitch, but I’m now at 32:12 in the video and you just told everyone to get a mammogram, and I flipping stopped the video to tell you to please keep posting Flosstubes! I will watch every one, and tell everybody I know to check them out. You make me think that maybe I can make a Flosstube too…
Your comment made me LOL! I'm so glad someone got that joke. :-) YES make a flosstube!! I was soooo afraid to try, but a few of my favorites have stopped filming (which is totally ok) but I thought, maybe I should jump in too. If you film one, please let me know so I can subscribe!! I will definitely be filming #2 soon - I keep thinking of things to share.
Wendy...so very nice to meet you...I enjoyed everything you shared...beautiful projects...I was an Enrolled Agent until retirement, so I can sympathize with the long hours of working...best wishes ❤
Thank you for your sweet comment! I’m jealous of your well-earned retirement - I’ve wanted to retire ever since starting my first job at age 18! Ha, ha, ha! Who wants to work when there’s stitching to do!
I laughed so hard when you talked about food in jello. It is a running joke between my best friend and i, we love to look at old food magazines and find the worst ones.
I don't have words to describe how wonderful this was! Love your brain and wrinkly soul 🤣You are going to be my spirit animal from now on. And that eel absolutely deserves 1 over 1 skin. I don't know why we don't give that honor to more quirky creatures. Many ❤s to you and looking forward to seeing more 😄
Thanks! Yes, I definitely get fabric envy whenever I see someone else's. There are two others stitching the aquarium on a dark blue fabric and it looks so good, it makes mine look faded. Ugh!
Love all your stitches and fabric choices. All your pieces are so vibrant. I love your idea of a red door in your cross-stitch houses, in memory of your Mom. My Mom loved red doors too and said she always wanted one. I was renovating my house when Mom had a stroke. I told her I painted the door red. She squeezed my hand so tight. She was happy. I'm glad I was able to tell her about the door before she passed. BTW, in Colonial times, if your door was red, you had a daughter available to marry. If your door was blue, no daughter available.
Thanks for your kind words and the sweet story about your Mom. 🙂 That's fascinating about the door color reasons - I had no idea. I would have been so embarassed as a teen if I'd known that and my Mom was going on about red doors. ha, ha!
I love how you giggle when discussing your projects. It cracks me up. Girl, be sure to cover the shark on the Artecy pattern when you get to it. Don’t get scared 🤣 Love your projects!
Enjoyed seeing your WIPS! Your Scary/Scenic Sampler idea is awesome! Even more so if you reverse the scenic sampler so that the one that is upside down will look like a reflection.
You have an amazing selection of projects in your WIP pile! Thanks for sharing the stories that go with them, love hearing the tidbits about your mom and your cat that you're carrying into your craft. Can't wait to see your next video!
Welcome to flosstube Wendy I absolutely loved your wip parade you have such a happy nature loved spending the time with you your wips are amazing I really like the way you are doing saga with your colour choices can't wait till the next video
Welcome to the floss tube community! Loved the WIP parade, especially the part about the mammogram screening lol. The praying mantis looks really good. Great job on making him. Your Long Dog looks fantastic with the colouring. I cannot wait to see future updates especially with your Aimee Stewart piece! Happy stitching!
Welcome to ft, wendy! I am so glad i came across ur channel...u pick very cool designs! I know exactly what u mean when u were talking about the warbler design and mentioned how u "understand" the color theory, but r unsure if u apply it correctly. I usually fall back to the called for fabrics for the patterns i do, but sometimes they r just too expensive, or were a limited edition or whatever, so i have no choice but to find my own to stitch it on, and its daunting at times cuz i always doubt myself and what i choose! But honestly i think that green fabric u chose looks amazing that bird really pops!!! Your mom sounds like she was an amazing woman...and i love how she reminded u to take care of her toads! Such a great memory even thru such a hard time. May sound morbid but i gotta do that so my fam knows to keep feeding my outdoor critters😂 My version of a sal is a START along lololol...i just want to start ALL the things so i hear sal and im like yes, plz!!!! Im doing the aquarium too!! I love seeing everyones diff fabrics in the group. The design is amazing! Im soooooo far behind tho...urs looks so great!!! Cant wait to see more stuff from u! Happy stitching 🐈⬛🪡❤️
Thanks so much for your kind comments! Yes, I'm definitely more a "start a long" person too! And I recently learned the new term "stash a long" which I like even better! ha, ha!
@MatrixStitcher lmaoooooo stash along 😂 that is SO me ....since I started watching flosstube I think I've become a frequent flyer on 123stitch and my wish list is a mile long cuz I see all u guys on videos stitching stuff and I'm like want it! Gotta have it! Take my money! Stash Accumulation is it's own addiction 😜 speaking of which, just saw ur thumbnail for ur next video n omg the riolis w the cat and fishies!! 😍 I'm sure I'll see more goodies too lolololol
I love your channel! I have been watching WIP parades since January non stop and you did an amazing job for your first video. You’re very natural on camera. Love your pattern choices and your ideas are very very creative, especially the upside down scary house! Super creative. You’re also really funny. Keep up the good work. I will be tuning back in!
What a fun time watching your flosstube! I enjoyed seeing your WIPS. You had me laughing at your comments. I can see how much you enjoy cross stitch. Can wait to see you again. Happy Stitching!
Hi Wendy - I don’t usually comment on Flosstube, but I had to let you know that I love your sense of humor. I also enjoy your stories, related to what you are stitching. Don’t ever stop sharing your memories with us. You are also a very creative person, and have a great sense of color and project ideas. I wished you lived closer to me. I’m in Iowa! Ann
I'm a huge Matrix fan and clicked on your channel because of the name. I'm glad I did. Loved your projects and your humor. Looking forward to seeing more. 😊❤
Hi Wendy! Such a fun WIP Parade! I completely agree about the flow of some designers, especially Autumn Lane. I feel this way about Long Dog Samplers, too. Can’t wait for your next video!
You had me at the thumbnail 🤣 Great wip parade and now I miss your mom too 😢 I’m sure she’s having a blast growing infinite meadows. I was at the hospice when my mom was preparing to go to the permanent “beach” in the sky. I was sitting in the kitchen area, within view of my mom’s room and I swear I saw her, clear as day, walking down the hallway dressed in her swimsuit, sandals, sunglasses and beach bag. She passed away that night but at least I know where she is 🌊☀️⛱️ I don’t know if it was a glitch in the matrix or paranormal but it was so real 🤯. Hi Wendy, my name is Cynthia 💃
Hi Cynthia! I’ve heard so many tales of loved ones making one last “visit” after passing. So many stories from people who are very matter of fact and not prone to making things up that I’m inclined to believe them. I don’t know what’s out there, but I really want to see my Mom again (and my dog LOL), so I’m happy to believe! That was an autogenerated thumbnail and it made me wonder if there youtube employees FAST watching every new video - how could a random generator pick such a perfect thumbnail? Ha, ha, ha! Thanks for watching!
Hello! RUclips recommended your channel and I am officially subscribed! I love all of your projects! Autumn Lane Stitchery is one of my favorite designers (I'm waiting to see if they release some more mermaid designs this year). Happy stitching! ❤
Thank you so much! Oooh - I've been thinking of stitching a mermaid and totally forgot that Autumn Lane has some good ones! And yes, I've been waiting (im)patiently for them to maybe do another Halloween box. If I won the lottery I would fully fund designers like them so they didn't have to work non-stitching related jobs. ha, ha!
So far (I'm at 4 minutes LOL( I'm enjoying your video very much. You seem to have a great sense of humor. re the glitch in the matrix, in my family those strange occurrences are caused by the Langoliers of Stephen King invention. They ate the timeline too quickly and someone was lax in getting it rebuilt. Something like that LOL. I'll be sure to share your fun channel, and maybe I'm inspired to finally make my first flosstube. I've made lots of RUclips videos on a different channel, but haven't dared do stitching yet. For your bunnies driving vegetable cars, perhaps a bit of the perfect yarn could be tacked from the rear bumper of one veg to the neck of the sheep, as a towing method. Or... perhaps a length of tiny chain from a dollar store necklace.... LOL. Your imagination is the awesome. Sheep have no engines HAHAHAHA. best wishes. xoxo
I remember the Langoliers - I love your family’s interpretation! Oh, wow, the tow chain is a great idea for the bunnies! I can just hear my engineer father lecturing me, that “actually, it should be a tow bar, per DOT regulations” Ha, ha, ha! Definitely do a flosstube if you want to!! Trust me, we all want to see what you’re stitching on. This is such a great and welcoming community.
Hi Wendy. I loved both your WIP parade and your friendly, engaging presence! The praying mantis that you charted is simply stunning. I nearly got scared away by your shark piece, but then I had to laugh because I also watched Jaws alone as a little girl, and I share your trauma (hard core). Like you, I recently attempted "exposure therapy" via cross stitch by altering a Madame Chantilly summer pattern to include a shark even though I was convinced I would be scared stitching it - for me, it's the gums- yikes! Aren't we the bravest? My favorite of all was your Craft Room piece and what you did with it. I've been longing to run again but have fallen out of shape and can't motivate myself for anything. Would you mind if I copy your idea and chart my exercise progress with the same piece as you're doing? I'm really looking forward to your next video. Oh - I adored your Charlie Harper bags too!
We’re shark terror buddies! I can’t even get in a pond or a lake, I’m so scared of something grabbing me. And sadly, I love aquatic animals. I guess I’ll have to admire them from afar. Yes! I would be thrilled if other folks used the Craft Room piece that way! I’ve been trying to share it around for just that reason. Funnily enough, having told the world on flosstube about it, I actually exercised a little extra because I was feeling guilty. LOL Whatever works, right? I really miss running too - I hope I can get back to it someday. Thanks so much for watching!!
Your color conversion on "Remember Me" is amazing! I love the pattern, but the colors are not bright enough for me. You have now enabled me to convert my chart!
💩. Came back after your kit parade to say hi! I live in far western Nebraska and work in your area quite often. The Stitching Shop and Colorado Cross Stitch are my LNSs at 3.5 hours away each.
YES! You made my day!!! I thought about asking people to leave me a poop emoji, but I chickened out. ha, ha! Thank you! I love Nebraska - it's such a pretty state all along the river. 🙂
I essentially live at Lake Mac. I grew up in central Nebraska and ended up here for my career. Wonderful place to live. Welcome to Flosstube. Looking forward to seeing your aquarium complete and your Long Dog Saga is epic!!
@@Stitchinmortician In the late 1990s I visited the Grand Island/Kearney area to see the cranes and was blown away by all the wildlife there. In one day, I saw almost every species of north american duck, eagles, hawks.... It was amazing. I've been back a few times over the years and am never disappointed. Thanks - I need to get that Long Dog out again!
Hi Wendy, I just found your flosstube. I also live in Colorado.. Parker. I work part time at a sewing machine/fabric store in Littleton. Sadly they don't sell crossstitch stuff. I'd love to know if you know of any shops out here that sell floss and patterns. Thanks for doing this video!
@@ColoradoMoMo I just saw your message on insta 😊 I think there's also a store in Greeley, but I haven't been there yet. Sheri from Colorado Cross Stitcher said that was her go-to store before she opened her own shop.
Love your uplifting way, and great humor. Seeing different charts that I've never seen before, wow. You had mentioned the company called Riolis. I have never seen their charts, are they written well, and do you like their floss in kits? I'm still just a beginner, but just recently got the Riolis catalog. What company put out Wiish you were here? You also showed on another floss tube a chart about a dragon- horse-man looking angry at each other, I think you said it was something about a George, how can I find it?
Hi Theresa! Thanks so much for watching! To answer your questions: I show some other Riolis kits and talk about them a bit more in my 2nd video, but yes, I think their patterns are clear and easy to read. The only thing about them is the thread in most of their kits is different and some people don’t like it. It’s a wool/acrylic blend, more like a thin yarn than the thread we’re used to. I like it, because it adds more texture, but you may want to just try out one kit at first to see if you like it. The kit will say right on the front at the top, whether it’s thread or “wool/acrylic”. Wish you Were Here is from www.artecy.com. They have a TON of neat patterns! And then the dragon pattern is “St George and the Dragon” from www.heavenandearthdesigns.com (The artist is Scott Gustafson.) Happy stitching (and shopping!)
You’re a natural and so fun! So glad Pam & Steph mentioned you! (The sheep with the existential crisis made me laugh out loud) 😂
Ha, ha! Thanks so much! 😀
Towing a sheep...😂😂😂 you are a hoot. Enjoyed your first flosstube!

Thanks so much for your kind comments! Yes, I'm definitely more a "start a long" person too! And I recently learned the new term "stash a long" which I like even better! ha, ha!

Love your version of long dog samplers.
Thanks!
So enjoyed your first video. You are an absolute joy. Please continue to share with us ❤
Awww - thank you!! I definitely will. 🙂
Thanks so much! I was so nervous about posting that video! ha, ha! But I will definitely be making more since everyone has been so kind. 🙂
What a fun time watching your flosstube! I enjoyed seeing your WIPS. You had me laughing at your comments. I can see how much you enjoy cross stitch. Can wait to see you again. Happy Stitching!
@@karlamakowicz6087 Thanks!!
Ann
@@annevans6035 Thanks so much Ann!
Hi, Wendy. I loved this video! 🥰 Im really happy that you’ve decided to join Flosstube!
Thanks so much!
I'm a huge Matrix fan and clicked on your channel because of the name. I'm glad I did. Loved your projects and your humor. Looking forward to seeing more. 😊❤
Thank you! 🙂
Welcome to Flosstube. I love the title of your channel. Everyone's first episode is rough!
Thanks so much! 🙂
Sorry I already commented but omg I am 100% going to do the Scary and Scenic sampler exactly as you described! Such a cool idea
Yay! That makes me happy! You'll probably finish before me too, since I have waaay too many WIPs. Let me know if you do it! 🙂
@@MatrixStitcher I bought the patterns last night 🤭 But it will be a while before I get them kitted up and started
Hi Wendy! Such a fun WIP Parade!
I completely agree about the flow of some designers, especially Autumn Lane. I feel this way about Long Dog Samplers, too.
Can’t wait for your next video!
Thank you so much!
Loved your video, it was amazing!
Thank you!!
Great first Flosstube! I love your Strawberry numbering system, what a great idea!
Thanks! I crack myself up - glad someone else appreciates it too! ha, ha!
If I won the lottery I would fully fund designers like them so they didn't have to work non-stitching related jobs. ha, ha!
Dr. Who, horror and Charlie Harper!!!? Well HELLO sistah!!😂❤
Helloooo! 😀 Thanks for watching!
Your laughing is so contagious haha. I also like that you changed to a more empowering, modern quote on the Learn Little Maid pattern!
Thanks! I really need to fix that tree and get working on that piece again. :-)
Those quail are so cute! Your Spring Parade bunny is fabulous! Will definitely stitch more next year.🧵🎉
@@Mrs.AZfamilyzooStitches thanks! yes, I need to get those bunnies out again! 😊
Love your color choices!
Thank you!
Love the Doctor Who!❤❤❤
Thanks! Making that video made me want to work on that one some more!
the shifty sheep is so adorable!
Thanks! He makes me giggle every time I see him. 🙂
I have Wish You Were Here and it’s one of my husbands favorite
I need to get mine out and work on it again. It's a great pattern!
Thank you. You made me giggle 😂
Thanks! 🙂
Your color conversion on "Remember Me" is amazing! I love the pattern, but the colors are not bright enough for me. You have now enabled me to convert my chart!
Yay! I'm always happy to enable! 😀
Great WIP parade! Ty
Thanks so much!
I watched to the end :D
Nice pieces, with so many what system do you use to finish any?😊
I use the completely random and chaotic method to finish my WIPs. ha, ha! I really need to get my act together. 😀
To answer your questions:
I show some other Riolis kits and talk about them a bit more in my 2nd video, but yes, I think their patterns are clear and easy to read.
You can get waste canvas in 18 ct
Ooh - good to know! 14 count doesn't allow much room when stitching on clothes. I'll have to look for some 18 count.
