Great video Ana Maria.I have one Cymbidium and she is very big girl and I would need to repot her in spring so you're video is great help.Thank you.Jelena.😊
Hi Ana Maria, loved this video. You made an excellent description on growing and taking care of Cymbidiums. I recently bought one and am having a hard time adjusting it to my tropical climate. I will follow your steps and see if I can grow them. Thanks.
Hi Ana Maria! I would like to ask you if you have uploaded any updates on this video and the development of this cymbidium, cuz I found nowhere in your most recent years’ videos any updates on it. Thank you!
Hi! nope, I do not have a specific update, because I have sold it a long time ago. It was very difficult for me to keep them all in a small apartment. But I do have at the office another cymb for about 4 years I think, potted in a similar way and is doing great. If it helps you in any way, I could do a video about that one
Great video! I have a cymbidium I now own for three years, but I haven't got a spike ever since I bought it. Not even sure what the flowers looked like. This year I'll try to follow your advice and hope for a spike next winter ;)
That's like the only thing that should have been right last year. I had it outside until mid-November and since then it's been next to a window in the hallway in front of my apartment - also a rather cool place. Does it need a rise in temperature after the cool down? I think I might not have fertilized enough. :/
Hi, Anna Maria! I loved your video! Very helpful. How do you water them? I tried to listen 3 times and still not sure how. Frequency I understood... Thank you again for your help!
Hi, Caroline! Very good question. I think you can listen 200 times, still won't hear it because I didn't have mentioned it! :)) It's pretty much like any other orchid. Either sumberge the pot if you can, in water, for at least 10 min. Either just our a generous amounth of water through the top of the pot and let it drip ddown. Or if you have a huge lid, pors water in the lid and wait for the water to get soaked in by the roots.
Enjoyed your video, subscribing, so I can go through the other videos, I have a cymbidium and got 2 at a garage sale 2 years ago, so going to try to get blooms! Thanks again, coming back
Can I ask you, please? How many new pseudobulbs will appear each year? The reason to ask is that I have a cymbidium that started growing one shoot at the edge where the thinnest pseudobulbs are. I want to repot it giving more space for it to grow at that area. Are there chances of new shoots coming from behind the older pseudobulbs?
of course, but that is a red cattleya. It is slc little hazel and you can watch an ID video that I had here ruclips.net/video/Wc9LOPKZkAQ/видео.html Thank you for watching, I am glad you found it useful!

Ana María, thanks. This is so knowledgeable; your cymbidium is gorgeous.
Recently I bought a new one :P

Spikes are mostly triggered by low temperatures :) Thank you for watching!

Do you have any Asian cymbidiums?
Misslou2425 Nope, I don't!
Can I put it in aire condition inside the hose?

Sometimes, yes. But most often, the new psb will appear from the 2 newest growths
Thanks, very helpful information.🌺
Can you tell me what type of potting medium to use?
50% bark small grade, 20% perlite, 30 % moss, or in semi hydro with leca beads
Miracle Orchids thank you
If the leaves are dark green does that that they need more sun?
Not always... it depends on the particular orchid
Thanks for the helpful info!
Thank you for watching, Sarah! Whenever you have questions, leave them in the comment section, I always reply :P
I'd like to add some warm growing varieties into my collection, the cooler types just wither and roast and die here in Tampa. 😖☺
Todd's Tropicals There are a lot of warm growing cymbidiums :D
Miracle Orchids Odom's orchids has a few, and I've been keeping an eye out for them. I will probably add some this summer 😄
Very helpful, thank you! What is the orange orchid in your signature avatar named? 🌱
of course, but that is a red cattleya. It is slc little hazel and you can watch an ID video that I had here ruclips.net/video/Wc9LOPKZkAQ/видео.html Thank you for watching, I am glad you found it useful!
Thank you! I just watched the ID video... now I want one! Ha 😨
Laurie Paris it is a very rewarding hybrid. For me, it grows 2-3 psb each year :) I have it from Chantelle Orchids
Miracle Orchids That sounds wonderful! I'm here in the States (Texas), so I'll keep an eye on eBay! Thanks again!
