Thanks for showing the rest of the world how beautiful Arizona truly is 😉👍
Renaissance Festival..another time in another world...great (almost with the cat..).THANK'S.
It's easy to forget how beautiful our country is. Thanks for the reminder ❤
Another wonderful video Marie. The views on your hikes are so stunning. Your appreciation is a joy to watch.
A Renaissance festival is certainly an experience. They can be so much fun when you let yourself get into the spirit. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Wow, another amazing video Marie!! Thanks for sharing.
I think they are going to call that rock Dancing Rock 🪨! In a hundred years people will wonder 💭 how it got its name and what the legend is behind Dancing Rock.
Fun time. There are many rennaisance faires/festivals through out the states...all enjoyable.
Renaissance festivals are always so fun! I'm very fortunate that the biggest one in the US happens in my state of Minnesota.
Don't forget Wisconsin...Bristol Faire is great. Hi from your neighbor 🍻
Been there many times... tomato justice is amazing!
Oh Joy! A spontaneous jig on a big rock=happiness.
Ah YES, Google taxis a true wonder. Makes you wonder why anyone would get in one. Maybe the novelty. You know of course you will have those dogs spoiled before you leave. You may have all the animals in Arizona spoiled & following you home. LOL!!
These excellent AZ videos need to be seen on a big screen - full screen on an iPad is good, but watching on a large TV would be even better. Such a beautiful place.
Sunday May 14 is Mother's Day in The U.S. and Canada-- Happy Mother's Day. Mother's Day in France is not until June, however, Happy Mother's Day to all there also.
I love Az Ren Fair. I dress up and go every year. It's often ranked as one of the best on many lists. I've had friends that drive from Missouri to visit our Ren fair rather than see the ones near them. They say it doesn't compare to Az's. (though I'm often jealous of the beautiful trees that I see in other ren fairs.) Saguaros are protected, as they are endangered. You can buy babies in a tiny pot at a high-quality garden nursery. Not sure if you could bring it into France though. I feel like it would do well there since a lot of plants that grow in France do well in Arizona like grape vines and lavender. I think you would just need to plant it in a patch of well-draining sand. Of course, it would take 50-75 years for it to become what you see here in your lovely photos.
Mari, vous passez le meilleur moment de votre vie. Je pense que tu vas bientôt déménager aux États-Unis ⚜
Good job Marie
Love your videos. You seem to take the trails less traveled and you try to experience the life of the locals. This is what makes your videos the best!
I love the Arizona Renaissance Festival
This has been a family tradition of ours since b4 my husband and I got married, then had our 2 daughters and always brought them...now I have moved to Colorado and this is something I miss the most...I saw ur Jerome episode...my Grandma owned an icecream shop there and my husband and I had our Senior prom at the Haunted Hotel. You brought back 25 + year old memories for me❤❤❤
Travel safely.
Spring in France must be luscious with so much greenery and colorful flowers. That has to be a contrast to Arizona. You get to see so many different things, oui?
What's interesting about these renaissance fairs is that the staff working there never break character. It's pretty amazing how they do it.
Please tell me you saw the South Park episode about that too haha
@@user-wr9ej6xe4j Absolutely I did! 🤣
Marie, you make absolutely superb choices for music!
Thanks 😇
I grew up a couple miles form the renaissance festival in Apache Junction, love your videos
Your endless joie de vivre always makes me smile! Merci ami eloigne!
I can picture miss Marie dressing up like a little princess at the fair. But can you imagine miss Marie walking all around everywhere still dressed as a princess? Lol 😁
Just wanted to help. My wife and I really enjoy your videos.
Thank you 😊!!
Yes! Roadrunners, Cardinals, Globe Mallow plant, Mexican Poppies, Saguaro Cactus, ect, I haven't seen the cat and other animal show! been a few years. So much fun!
I liked the Henna Tattoo space, too.
I have never driven a car in my life and I am 57 years old now... Bicycles for me, even in this heat! I do want to take a Waymo someday! :)
Awesome! I love seeing all the amazing things you're experiencing for the first time. AZ is a beautiful state for sure. And that Google Taxi !! Super cool ! Hahaha Love the technology. Looking forward to the next video, Marie! Have a lovely weekend, my sweet friend! xo Hugs! 🤗❣✨
I'm going to be so sad when Marie leaves AZ. I love seeing those places again. Thanks for posting Marie. These mean a lot to an old Arizonan.
I love the places that you are visiting. Your photography skills are really improving!
Happy to see you are enjoying our Great Southwest! And it was nice to see some video of people having a good time without arguing! Did you know that scorpions glow under a UV light? Ask your host to take you scorpion sighting with a black light if he/they have the time (it's a little early for that here in northern New Mexico, but it may be warm enough where you are staying). Peace, Love!!
Maybe next time, she was there in March
Great video of you dancing on the rock. 😊 That festival looked like it was a lot of fun. You looked like you had a wonderful time. Love your videos. Can't wait to see more.😊😊
Hello Miss Marie !!! Looks like you had A Great time & Exploring
& Yes there are Many Ren - Fests , Pirate - Fests & Comic - cons
Here in Florida where my Artillery section has Entertained the Masses All across Florida for over 20 years !!! As both Pirate & Knights templar in full armor ⛓️ chain !!! The largest is in Deerfield beach over 6 weekend from February threw March !!!
As Always the like button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😁👍👍😎
Bonne production Marie! J’attends la prochaine avec impatience. Salut.
Looks like a really nice festival. Better than most
I hope you to see more of flowering in the desert areas plus I don't remember seeing any cliff dwellings or buying yourself an indian blanket (or Mom one) or a shot of tequila-just one! But if not, it's nice seeing how much you're enjoying yourself. Now go somewhere and have some pulled pork and a half rack of ribs!
Such beautiful views on your hike! Renaissance Fair looks like lots of fun. Keep the videos coming! 💕
I love how the first thing we see at the renaissance festival is an ATM. I believe the Saxons invented those.
Another great video of Arizona! You have definitely gotten both your exercise and taken in a lot of beautiful places. Hope you have more to come. Now many people can see how the desert is not always what you picture. As far as taking a saguaro cactus home that might be illegal as it used to be a big deal to remove one. Probably too late now, but they have 2 parks in Tucson full of them. Also they need a very specific climate to grow in. Desert for sure. Not sure if the right climate exists in France. Merci beaucoup.
Amazing! So happy you are having such a great time. Be safe.
I live about 5 minutes away from the Festival. You were that close to me. Wow!
Bonjour Marie! I love the Ren Fest! Here in the Detroit, Michigan area ours runs from Mid August until the first weekend of October. Every weekend has a different theme, and at one point I had an outfit for each themed weekend. Many of my favorite memories are from time spent at the Ren Fest. I try to go every year, but mostly it's been by myself as it's gotten more difficult to plan to meet or go with friends or family. Glad you enjoyed it (I'm surprised you didn't show any of the foods!) Thanx for sharing! Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed
Bonjour sweet Marie,,,,there were so many good moments in this video, I had to write them down:
1:39: The rock dance was so adorably cute. That alone was worth watching
2:30: That was some dangerous climbing. Glad you took your time and got through it OK
3:00: What a spectacular shot. Might be the best you've ever taken.
4:47: Watching them slug each other with sacks was very funny. Might be good couples therapy.
5:58: The hamster raising the US flag had me laughing.
Your videos are so fun to watch. Looking forward to the next one.
Hail Marie, how fare thee fair maiden, 👸 🌺
Your becoming quite the Park Ranger , it isn't easy hlking high up in the heat, looks like you had the whole canyon to yourself, always treasure the moment, I'll be dancing on the rocks to with those amazing views, that cactus ain't a pretty site, they can live between 10 & 200 years , I bet you've already picked up some for your garden, the Neon lamp ones are so cool. Around gold canyon they've got a great golf course at dinosaur park & the western blind justice was filmed nearby your location about a mysterious gunfighter sworn to protect a baby, maybe we should check it out.
The festival was fun & frolics, merriment for one & all, the lady with the kitty show was adorable & impressive with her juggling ⚔️ skills , Mr Ratty 🐁was awesome hoisting up the stars & stripes , they don't deserve their bad image , they make great pets & are so intelligent. There was a lot of entertaining stalls & crafts, storybook was marvelous, jack & the beanstalk always been a favourite, the puppets would make Jim Henson proud, the whole theme with the olde music & dancing looked like a great day out for all the family.
Cruising the suburbs will never be the same again, look out the 🤖 cars are coming, they'll be flying taxi drones next. I'm happy to see you exploring more of that beautiful state & everything it has to offer, you could have dressed up as Zelda at the festival, your did superb job editing as always, Thanks again FF , I bid thee farewell , blessings 🤗 💞 🌵✨
I’m so glad you’re having such a great time!! Thank you so much for sharing this . I think I’m enjoying these videos as much as you enjoy being there!! You’re painting a great picture of Arizona through these videos!! Well done and keep up the good work. Be safe!😎👍👍👍
Another great video !!!
Wonderful vid. So much fun there!
It looks like you've been having a grand adventure. It makes me smile to watch.
Renaissance Festival has sure grown and changed a lot over the years, but it's an interesting time. There are some interesting crafts there (very pricey though), and it's an interesting combination of dress up make believe and carnival (like the old carnies many of us knew from state fairs).
A great video and commentary! It is great to see you having so much fun and enjoyment. Keep it up and give us some more videos!
Thank you for the video, Miss Marie. Looks like you are developing a fondness for the Southwest! Next you need to come to the Gulf Coast.....🙃
You should take a look online for the renaissance festival here in southern Colorado. It takes place in Larkspur.
Dude... I love this lady. She is so awesome, especially compared to other Europeans. If there is any chance she reads this....... You are a wonderful human being, beautiful even
Damn you worry me on those hikes, holding the camera and coming so close to so many cliffs! At least I know each Saturday that you're obviously safe and well, so that's a big relief.
The Festival looked like a lot of fun. I've been to a few Renaissance Festivals in Maryland. It's an annual staple here in the late summer.
(Still hoping you made it to the Grand Canyon and filmed your expression when you first saw it.)
It's great to see you enjoying yourself so much, Marie. Looking forward to each video!
It is wonderful to see you enjoying Arizona, I hope you have a wonderful, and safe travels.
Looks you had a great day! Fantastic video
Great vid! Two USA trips, two big rocks to stand on and get a picture/video. The lady with the cat & mouse(?) show was pretty good.
The little town east of the Picket Post , Superior, is where I lived till I was 9.
*
Now that you have seen a roadrunner, you probably wonder why a coyote would want to eat such a scrawny bird. LOL, I saw one in Texas in 1965.
loved your video... most states have this festival!! glad you enjoyed it!!
It's so great to see you out having a fantastic time Marie! I have always loved desert hikes and I'm glad to see that you find a lot to enjoy about them as well. I can only hope this experience inspires you to explore even more of America. Keep smiling, and thanks for bringing us all along!
Thank you Marie. These adventures have been a lot of fun!! Much appreciated!
You should come to Michigan, and tour the Lakes!
I’m glad you went to the Ren Fair! The people who work there every year have to audition first, like you would if you were in a movie, so it’s a little different every year. There are people who make a living by going from one Ren Fest to another across the country all summer. (I’ve known several couples who do that.) Dead Saguaros are known as Saguaro skeletons after their flesh rots off. Many people use them for decoration in their yards. 🌵
Festivals are my happy place
Marie, your sense of wonder is very cute!
The renaissance festival looked like a lot of fun. It must seem ages ago that you were there. So many cool adventures for such a deserving person.🌵
A French girl was surprised by an auto driving car in Arizona. Lol I’m happy you got to explore the state I grew up in. We have lots of history and culture in just this state. And every state in the USA has a different culture. What I love about Arizona is in two hours of driving I can go up north and be in cool weather or snow. And I grew up riding horses so western culture is just normal for me. I’m glad you got to showcase some of Arizona’s diversity
🤠👋 hope ur doing great.
Hopefully one day you can travel to Texas and see the biggest Renaissance Festival in the country located in Plantersville, about an hour NW of Houston. I have fond memories visiting in my barbarian garb and getting to be another person for those days. Jousting and food and merriment abound! Take care and be safe!
Oh my gosh, the mouse, raising the American flag, was totally worth watching and I’m still laughing about that! Also, what a beautiful sunset towards the end of the video. Those sunsets out west are like none other. Thanks Marie as usual for great content, that’s why I watch and you do a great job! Now, I’m going to go back and watch the mouse raising the flag again! Lol lol
Always fun to see wildlife and nature. Just beware of coyotes with acme rockets strapped to their backs!
Really enjoyed your video!!!!
great vlog as always
I really enjoyed the video. Look forward to seeing more
Great trip
That car with the spinner on top was taking pictures for the street view for map programs. I think.
Been to Arizona, you can have that heat!!! Some day come to Maine and enjoy cool summers.
I can see you crossing that dessert in a covered wagon!
Ahhh! Watch out for the FIRE ANTS!
frenchtastic!!! did you know that, off the coast of Canada, there are a couple islands that are part of France??? If you fly there, or take a ferry there, you must go through French customs, as you have traveled from Canada to France!! I just watched a video about flying to those islands, the title is "I flew from Canada to France... in an HOUR?"
The name of the island group is "Saint Pierre and Miquelon"!!
You should go, and make a video about it 🙂
New subscriber. Music for this series has been on another level, absolute perfection! Glad you're enjoying your time in our awesome country.
Thank you!! 🎶
These ren fests are all over the country in my state of Ohio it runs late August through early October.
This looks so fun! I've never been that far west, but I did go to a Ren Faire around here like almost 20 years ago with my then-girlfriend and it was a blast. My friends got really drunk on home-brewed mead and peed all over everything, and I had to clean it up. 10/10. Also, that rat and cat wouldn't have had to do anything. I would have paid money for them to just ignore commands and be lazy while a guy played guitar. That would be awesome.
I’ve always wanted to go to a Renaissance Fair, I’m so glad you enjoyed it!! What has been your favorite part about visiting the U.S so far Marie?? Love from Missouri 😊💚💚💚
So many favorites 🥺
There is also a Renaissance Festival in Maryland, near Annapolis, in the summer. They have the king's knights jousting.
I was just thinking a few videos ago that your Arizona opening sequence needed the roadrunner to go racing by.
That plant at 2:26 are California Poppies
isn't renaissance french word?
We need you to visit Washington and Mt Rainier
Renaissance festivals are a mix of medieval England and medieval France. Basically what everyone thinks about Europe during the time of king Author and the three musketeers or the ideal Middle Ages. It’s mostly pure fantasy that we just have in our heads. The king usually announces a jousting contest and a knight contest towards the middle of the day and a big choreographed fight ensues. It’s just fun mostly. Sometimes there is a big dragon robot or statue that blasts fire as a show. It’s all just fun.
The Highland Games are more common though with contests of strength and skill.
You did a great job with the video!
Thank you 😃
I'm surprised that they didn't have a jousting competition at the Renaissance fair like they do here in California.
Very enjoyable video. Did you participate in any of the games at the Renaissance Festival? Looking forward to the next portion of your SW trip.
You will have lots of fun driving in California.
Fun is not the word i would use....
Did you spot Wile E. Coyote setting up an ACME trap for The Road Runner?...haha. JK. Love your videos, Marie! Has it inspired your parents to make a trip over to the States? If it has, I think Northern California would suit them best. Napa Valley and the giant redwoods.
I have been a couple of times to the Renaissance festival, and it's always a good time. Funny that you weren't sure how to say it as I thought renaissance was a french word, huh, maybe I'm wrong about that.
Oh I think it is! I tried the American pronunciation but couldn't do it 🥲
@@FrenchTasticExplorations yeah, the American pronunciation is different for sure, which I am sure you've heard.
YOOOO missed ya by a couple weeks lolol but PLEASE tell me you got some candied nuts! They're So Good OwO
What, your friends didn’t have a costume for you to wear to get totally into the vibe. 😀😀
