This series of the antiques roadshow is the last series I watched with my great nan that she could remember what happened the week before. I got two more years with her but it wasn't the same. Thanks for the memories
The talking clock was a favorite. When I was a small child there was, in every town, a number that one could call that would give the time and weather. Single women all knew that number and, when a suitor wouldn't leave without a number, the demuring young lady would give out that number instead of her own 🤣
My grandmother and her brother were put in a workhouse two youngest of eight kids. Their mother met a man after her husband died and he wouldn’t accept other man’s brats. They were educated and were the only ones in the family who could read and write.
All fake information made to cover up a huge secret finds that I was very lucky to have see in some ones possession until the essex girl was to steal the massive amount of waches from her x partner
Loved the maps, of course no Australia, New Zealand and Antarctica. How come even in the 21st century NZ is often still missing on maps? Don't really care, we like to keep our paradise to ourselves.
If you centre a map on the UK, NZ is at the edge and easily missed, especially off the side of the globe. I love that the NZ Government's website error for page not found references this and shows a map without NZ on it. Also an accidental reference to NZ being the last country in the world to get human habitation as far as we know, it's only been about 1000 years since the Maori settled there.
