  • Video recalling the IRA terrorist murder of Mr Jimmy McCurrie, from East Belfast, in Northern Ireland. A married father murdered by as he walked home on 27 June 1970.
    Mr mcCurrie had stepped on ahead from them after an evening out with friends to reach home. They had been invited for supper. Mr McCurrie had recently been made redundant, but was successful at interview for a security job at Stormont, Belfast. His wife was pregnant.
    Mr McCurry had been a World War 2 soldier in RURifles and been at Belsen concentration camp.
    He was a Protestant, ex-coal worker shot walking home at Beechfield Primary School at 11pm.
