I love how in 1 john16-17, in which if you want to see God, is to see Jesus. The bible is real life proof of Jesus' walk, miracles etc, which is how we can see God. I love the correlation you made to Genesis in which all creation was from God, the light is in God and the light that is in God is now in us and darkness has no place there because of the light we get from God. That take away is so so powerful!
I totally enjoyed this study today. My favourite part was the verses on Nathaniel as well but in my case it was learning the original meaning of "Under the fig tree" and the reference to Jacob's dream in Genesis which John connects to Jesus as the real ladder between heaven and earth... I can hardly wait until chapter 2...
I am so happy that you enjoyed the study! I also love the original meaning, I found that to be very interesting! Thanks so much for sharing! Chapter 2 coming soon! Hopefully going to do one a week!
I am so happy you enjoyed and found it helpful! Welcome to the cozy crew sister in Christ! I am here for you if you ever have any questions or anything! God bless you! ❤️
I've watched MANY bible study videos (roundabouts, 3-5 hours a day for 2 years, attentive listening or as background listening) and you're literally the first one to really break down those revelations about the Word and also Nathaniel!!! I can't wait to keep going along with you!! (Also, im not sure if this is a technical thing that's in your editing or a fault of yt but i wanted to let you know that the audio/volume is a lot quieter than it usually is; not enough to disturb your video in any way because can just blast our volume but i wanted to let you know in case it is anything!)
Aww I am so happy that you enjoy my video so much and that it stood out among all the others you have watched! What a compliment! Thank you so much for letting me know about the audio! I will fix it for the next videos for sure!
I dont have Instagram so i figured i could just leave it as a comment here for you lol. Unrelated a little bit but.. there's been something swirling around in my mind and spirit recently. It stems from having two very dear people living with me currently. (I am essentially a mother goose lol) They haven't fully come around to Christ yet. I wouldn't say that they are deliberately unbelieving or completely opposite the gospel, for instance they live beside me day in and day out as I'm dedicating my new life to Christ, grappling with it sometimes, see God's huge moves in my life first hand and frequently they have gotten trapped in the kitchen while I've essentially gone on an excitable tangent/rambling or preaching a sermon on whatever I'm working through in the Bible or church or my daily life ect. They are definitely not judgemental or anything, actually the opposite. Very genuinely supportive and appreciative and open minded and very respectful ect. Its actually a blessing and miracle to me because I have been in this season of deep diving, wrangling with discipline and relearning everything all over, so being so close to people in my tiny one bedroom apartment that wouldn't be receptive or open or supportive would simply be a huge hindrance and extremely counterproductive. So in that they are so close and to witness my faith and faith in action, and be so supportive and open, it's sad that its a rarity these days but that's why its the perfect God Move... Now heres my "dilemma". Because they are both on their own respective journeys and have their own individual beliefs and such, i find that even with their genuine support and sharing space and sharing their hearts, they arent exactly convinced that Christianity is . The way the truth and the life, id say. So it was immediately put on my heart when they started sharing space with me and moved in, that through me they will then, eventually inevitably, discover that for themselves. It is kind of like planting lil Jesus seeds everyday. My faith is that this will be the outcome. Now time for the actual thought topic thats been swimming in my mind and heart. How do I truly preach the Gospel? I have to be completely honest. I struggle with explaining the Gospel because theres still some parts of me (that God and I are working on 24/7) that struggle to understand the Gospel in its entirety, like the undoubted, foundational stone is knowing the concept of the Gospel and fully accept it as absolute truth and then, ideally, be able to spread that good news. I have another friend who is in their beginning stages of "okay i am at my bottom and i dont know if Jesus is real but something in me keeps telling me there's something there" . I had that same era . I believe its been an assignment for me to disciple my roommates and my friend. But most days i don't feel qualified for that because I'm like, a baby, I am learning everything for the first time all over again and theres so so so much that I dont know, and I don't know if its appropriate or even godly for me to be discipling someone on the Gospel that Im not 10000% comprehending for some reason or another. I mean, most days I am more confused than anything, but my persistence and dedication to finding my answers and figuring it out and my faith (be it blind faith) is basically where I'm at. That was A LOT of context (i am chatty, I apologize) but in short, I was wondering if you would be interested in making some videos about "the Gospel explained in a nutshell" and "how to disciple others around you" and "what to do when you get the calling to do so, even when you dont know what you're doing" and maybe even something about how you decided to start a channel like this (cause that's my true assignment, but I am so intimidated by the feeling of being unqualified)
Thankyou so much for sharing your story and situation! You gave me a greatttt video idea that will come out sometime this month that I feel will answer your questions well! In the mean time just know that I am proud of you for planting those seeds, and I am praying for you, your roommates, and friends! I have been, and continue to be in some very similar situations so I hope the advice that I can give in the video will be helpful! Thankyou so much for sharing! Also if you ever do get Instagram you can definitely DM me there and we can talk more personally, I just didn't want to say too much on the comment! God Bless!!
In minute mark 1:42 or shortly before I’m asking what source this is?? Because it it really wonderful to read and follow along as I take notes on the context background I am writing in my Bible to help understand the concepts
This was my first ever Bible study and I enjoyed it but I didn’t seem to have as many notes on my page as you did. Did I miss something or do it wrong?
Oh thats so awesome! I feel so honoured you did your first bible study with me! Don't even worry about the notes, normally I do my studies completely live on my blank bible and write out notes with my viewers but for this one, I had already done multiple studies on this same chapter so that is why you saw so many notes! Don't worry I am sure you didn't do anything wrong! The next bible studies in John (or the others on my channel) will be more accurate ;)
I appreciate you breaking down the Gospel of John. I just want to clarify that the author of this Gospel is the apostle John, the brother of James and son of Zebedee aka the “beloved disciple” or “the disciple whom Jesus loved”. The John referenced in Chapter 1 is John the Baptist not John the Apostle.
Oh no! My bad, sorry about that! I will put an update in the description about the mistake. Thankyou so much for letting me know and correcting me!! I think it was something that I did know but I just misspoke and subsequently mistaught, oops!
Thanks for being open to correction and updating the description. It can be confusing when there are multiple people with the same name like Mary for instance.😊 Thanks for sharing God’s Word. Keep up the good work and God bless you!❤
@@myrnarivera8877 absolutely! I really appreciate the respectful correction and definitely encourage you and anyone else to make sure I’m in line! Such a privilege to be teaching Bible studies like this and I always want to be representing the truth! ❤️ God Bless!!
