The fun thing about your videos sometimes contradicting the ‘conventional wisdom’ is that you do enough battle reports that provide enough detail to see some of this in action. I’m really with you on it not really being a competitive game. Remember for a while almost the only place on the internet you could get any guidance on this game was goonhammer. I adore goonhammer but they do often (mostly) speak from a ‘competitive’ angle. You’re offering a different brand of enjoying this game that we love.
Loving the videos. I’m just now starting Necromunda and managed to grab the ash wastes starter set on Amazon for 170. I’m going to play at my local Warhammer store and hopefully run campaigns after getting the rules under my belt

Single purestrain is in the game yall book of ruin page 100-101 creation tool "xenos abomination" can be brought into a battle via the favor system page 109 GSC favors on a 13+ roll A "True Birth" can give you a purestrain killing machine for up to 3 rounds of the game (D3 pregame roll) I think this is very flipping cool and will be making a single custom model as my favorite little freakshow and a reminder of the potential power of the geneseed 🦾🦾🦾🦾👽 all hail the four armed emperor!!!
Which version of the rules are you using? My copy of the Book of Ruin says that neophytes have to make up half of the gang, not just the ganger type. I'd love to run more Aberrants, but I don't see how.
The lack of two wound champions... Would it be broken if your champions could get a pet? I know that would just be a house rule choice for our group, but would that be a nod towards making that disparity with other gangs less of a hindrance? Or would be pointless and do little but break the rules?
@@wellywoodwargaming thanks. Noob to Necromunda. Finally painted up some unloved Neophytes from the Kill Team starter box the other year. Didn't fall in love with Kill Team as I had hoped and now their expansions deep into a new ruleset... Necromunda looked like a good option.
It does seem a bit weird to mention how bad the champions are with only one wound while also sayinghow obvious it is that you should play the familiars as much weaker than they are written. That's very much a self-made problem there. If you wonder what they were thinking with that one wound maybe they were thinking those familiars would protect them?
I don't think so, I think the familiars are still ultra powerful being nerfed to once per turn for the cost they are personally. I don't think they designed Gsc with a view to all Champs and leaders depending solely on familiars to to keep them alive either. I'd like for them to just up the wounds and nerf the familiars ideally.
Was wondering looking into the supplemental book for gsc and it was saying something about needing the gangs of the underhive to use the book of ruin which feature this gang and was wondering if that was correct.
YEah having Gangs of the Underhive will get you equipment info and Book of Ruin gives you gang composition for the genestealers. Have fun with em they are my favorite gang to run!
Hey mate, how would you load out a kelemoph? I like the idea of one of the arms holding a chainsaw but not sure if it's really that practical. what you think?
That's the gunslinger right? Honestly I'd go with 3 autopistols like on the model. 9 possible strength 3 shots in one attack is insane. Especially when you upgrade them to other types of rounds. It's a cheap but effective loadout, and you can give him the gunfighter skill (which we've house ruled to work with 3 arms) he's great and super fun as is

I've managed to catch alot of momentum locally getting friends Involved with necromunda. So I figured I'd try commit to having a decent layout.
Had to give this vid a dislike, the content was excellent and kept me watching to the end, however the sound of someone talking in to a mic that is in desperate need of hydration is infuriating! Once heard it can't be ignored. This is not meant as a mean comment merely constructive criticism.
Or he has throat cancer. You never know buddy. Maybe just learn to be accepting of mannerisms. My guess is typos and misspellings bother you TO and you can't stand hearing people chew.
