Kelermorphs are so damn cool. The way the 'nids use the idea of heroes and idols against humanity in order to drum up rebellions. Just awesome.
And Their damn scary, to know they understand humans that well and use it against us like that
Maybe in a better society, this genestealers would quietly infect the population, and get polítical power and disarm the planet, but the imperium is just that shitty of a place, that it inevitably ends in rebelion, that part is on us, all that cult stuff comes from human minds, the nids just swiched the Idol.
It's genuinely freaky proof that the Hive mind isn't just like a nest of ants or something. It is essentially an eldritch being stretched a Ross the different Hive Fleets and the like that is strategical hunting down entire planets at a time.
GW should make THAT into a super hero movie to start of their cinematic universe. People will be drawn in expecting dark marvel, they get to see life in a hive world, servitors, imperial cult, arbites, underhive gangs, and in the end the hero's true nature is revealed in the end and then the full horror of Warhammer 40K begins to hit them and keeps hitting them for several movies. After they see the imperial guard fighting off tyranids, they think the big bad guy is established, until they meet chaos in the fourth movie. There is enough material for years and years worth of movies with stories interesting to both fans and newcomers.
"Because he's the hero the Imperium deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because the Kellermorph can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent 3armed guardian, a watchful protector. The ultimate gunslinger."

The fact that these genestealers cults are able to create hybrid ''heroes'' and other powerful creatures is frightening.
Not to be confused with the Sarah-Michelle Gellermorph, which inspired the fields which the Imperium depends on to keep the Daemon at bay.

The Imperial guy reminds me of Ciaphus Cain, an unwilling hero who becomes the legend he made for pure for his own gain when it truly matters. May he Rest In Peace.

I gotta say, my friends Kellermorph just deletes whatever he chooses to fire at. If a round hits, he fires again, he hits on 2's, he has 3 pistols, eventually he drowns everything in enough lead to fail all the saves that units has

For some reason i quite expected him to look down to see his own colour. Red, not blue the royal colour of the emperor. also fantastic story and a fantastic character i absolutely loved every second of it!
I was half expecting the lieutenant also to be some sort of genestealer cultist. Maybe under infection or uncouncious control. With all that undermining order and sleeping with as many people as possible. He could be a superspreader of 1st generation genestealer babies
This is PRECISELY why I hate the Gene-Stealer Cults the most of all the enemies of the Emperor.
Also, the story was amazing. The story of the officer-shammer was so lifelike I caught myself forgetting it was a work of fiction.
Hunh, kind of a Caine character. I dont know if he is more a coward or less but he definitely has the "If anyone finds out I'm faking it I'm done" feeling.
Cain is a rip-off of Flashman. Just so you know.
What I love the most about GSC aside from the alien mad max aesthetic, is that they show that Tyranids have a deep understanding of human psychology and will absolutely exploit it. Give the unwashed and disparaged masses of the imperium some bread and circuses, and they'll be ringing the dinner bell of their doom!
Exactly, this intelligent side of the Hivemind brings the true horror of it to bear. It isn't some collective of dumb bugs. If anything, in one form or another it's as aware of its own existence as you or me. It views the myriad species it consumes as having the insignificance of ants and the purpose of roaming livestock. It's not cruel. Callous perhaps since it knows the extent of the sentience of those it eats but hey, it's hungry and if it doesn't consume the prey it can find then it'll starve to death. Can we really condemn it for wanting to live?
Did The Kelermorph really wave him on stage for the main event?
It’s really cool to see some gene stealer cult individual “hero” lore. They usually just seem like canon fodder for the emperor’s army to look good killing or for any victory to be immediately undermined by their imminent death by consumption. I like the gene stealers and am glad to see there are some instances of progression for some of their certain characters
Love the genestealer cults I think they would make excellent antagonists in a 40k guardsmen fps

@@cactusproductions6531 Some inter-faction conflict would also help to make missions more chaotic. Imagine going with your squad into the middle of a turf war between Chaos and the Gene Stealer cult, possibly even to hunt down a Kellermorph as it stalks the battlefield looking for heroes to slay.

ahh the Kellermorph, my favorite of all the genestealers. My own has developed an infamous reputation among my game group. In turn one, he slayed the warboss of my opponent, only to disappear before the orks could retaliate. when he emerged again, he let loose a deluge of fire so strong that the greenskins could not ignore it, after 12 boyz were felled they finally charged. However, despite being stuck in melee, the kellermorph survived due to a lucky streak of invuln saves and a few nearby neophytes giving their lives to protect their heroes. It took three turns for the orks to eventually kill the gunslinger, but he died amongst a mountain of spent bullet casings and dead greenskins. Even so, he provided the distraction that allowed the cult to take the day and seize their objectives.
Truly, the Kellermorph is a monster of heroic proportions, a living legend that serves a dark purpose. I have truly fallen in love with the juxtaposition of his being, that he encapsulates the classic wandering desperado hero, a knight errant with a gun, the six shooter ronin who saves the day...but this is all a facade, a carefully constructed monster meant to prey on humanity's want for heroes. The cult gives the people what they want, a hero who will lead them unto freedom...and into the gullet of their dark gods
The Tyranids have no gods, unless you meant the cultists revere the 'Nids as gods

I was only first made aware of this bioform when I picked up the Tyranid commander deck for Magic the Gathering; a Kelermorph named Ghyrson Starn. And well...I didn't know really anything about Starn or this bioform until this video, and I have a new appreciation for the card and this creature because of it! So thank you, Baldermort for this little entry, for I greatly enjoyed! :)

It seems that Lord Baldermort has brilliantly introduced Sir Harry Flashman, well known cad, rotter bounder and poltroon into the 40k universe - It's a cruel world.
They had a lesser known form called the Helenkelermorph but it wasn't very effective.

I love Kelermorph's simply beacuse they slightly tap into an "Old West" aspect I really wish we had more of in Warhammer 40k. Obviously not going overboard with it but Imagine Cowboy Space Marines or a Cowboy Inquisitor!

As a hopeless romantic of gunslingers, the introduction of the Kelermorph made me "squee" like a little girl getting a pony.
In my own writings, I favor gunfights. Usually revolving around a man named Yurgas Steyn. I am an avid lover of the "Cinematic Gunfight/Duel". The Kelermorph embodies this in the most sinister of ways.

I myself play GSC and he is worth the 80 points he is owed, for he will take far more points worth of himself many times over if used right. And he will cut the heart from the enemy out in one turn with a calculated strike
He is worth way more than 80 points lol, the man does the lords work every time he touches the table top.
My favorite thing about this model is it's inclusion in that one image of 'cowboy' looking models having a Mexican standoff.
