We started out rough and then changed our language arts and math. Master Books has really saved my bacon this year. After we changed to it everything else just fell into place.

I'm glad you are feeling better. Our year has been going great so far. We're on week 10 and my planning has made it successful too. My kids have adjusted to the routine which helped a lot. I work a lot which is a little crazy but I'm thrilled with homeschool.

Well...that didn't go as planned 🤣 How has your first quarter of homeschool been?

I'm sorry it's been a tough start to the year! Praying the rest of the year is smooth sailing for your family. How amazing your planning actually kept everything rolling together! Well done mama!

Oh man...us too!!! It started really great and then my family of five got slammed with sickness. We rarely get sick too. I'm so tired of being inside and not getting back into the swing of life. For us, it was covid again. We are just getting back into some normalcy now, but it has been weeks. 😮

I hope you feel better soon! I'm going on week 5, and I'm almost certain I had a fever yesterday again. It's really off and on!

All my summer planning went into the trash when my 13 yo was diagnosed with autism. She now does ABA therapy 20 hours a week and psycho therapy 2 hours a week. I am just trying to get the basics done and sometime that does not even get done.

I got hit rough too, but the rest of the family just had a cough. Mine was fever for a couple days, really bad cough that kept me up all night and lost my voice for over a week. My kids are young, 5 and 3, so it doesn't allow much time to recover. I took a couple days off school for my oldest (1st grade work), but she loves school and doesn't like taking days off (even asks to do school on weekends).

Started out well. We changed math curriculum for my daughter and she loved the beginning but now it’s getting challenging with new concepts and she’s shutting down. We too had a few weeks where we were sick (kids weren’t) and energy was minimal. We daily did the LA and Math. But there’s no fun in school. Then an elder family member got sick and we’ve travelled to take care of them. Thankfully school comes wherever we are but I feel like I’m loosing the kids interest in it. We butt heads over doing the harder things. I don’t want to “get behind” but our great start to the year is gone. And we’re not even to the half-way point. How do I change this? Oh and we found out that we have to move for work in December so another life changing event.

Ugh we had that. 🙏. I bet it was the flu. We had fevers and the worst body pain. The air hurt.. Jr was fine. Low fever and cranky for a day. Us adults 💀 for 3 weeks. We took 2 weeks off. Lots of education tv and zoo shows. 🙏now trying to catch up and not make it look that way 😂
