Mom doesn't seem to have a problem with her being all grown up , but the best friend seemed shell shocked that the bride chose the dress without her input. The way she said that she would have to choose the dress was really irritating.
I loved the moment when everyone was gone and the bride quietly looked at the dress on the mannequin. That was so sweet and I'm so glad she chose for herself! She looked stunning!
Yes! I thought the opposite though. I assumed that her family/ fiancée was overbearing (maybe mom was a little overbearing but there's been much worse, and she seemed to resign happily.) Knowing that she's been in the military made so much sense. I loved watching her
Shez one of the most sorted bride to be & has a great sense of what makes HER feel good.Great to see a strong woman who doesn't get swayed by opinions.
Right? I think my mother would have rather seen me in anything BUT a cake-topper dress. She wore one for her wedding because that was the fashion at the time but she would have probably been shocked if I wanted something like that now. Never tried to dress me up as a princess, either.
My mom knew I'm anything but a princess. If she would've tried to get me to wear an excessive ball gown of a wedding dress I would have fought against her no doubt. I picked put my own dress and called her once I found the one I wanted. 21 years later I'm still not a girly princess but very much a lady🙂. I told our girls if they decide to marry and they want to wear tennis shoes and a regular clothing then I'd support them 100%🙂
Poor Mom ??? The woman has an unhealthy attachment/ relationship to her adult daughter. She is supposed to bring her up to have a clear sense of her OWN identity. Love her daughter ?, yes absolutely..guide her ? yes but within limits of her own decision making capabilities, want the best for her ? without question, but decide what she wears ? Absolutely not. Not even on her wedding day is that normal. That was an unhealthy relationship and i pity her future husband. I hope he has a LOT of patience because that Mom clearly doesn't respect boundaries and she is going to be in their business constantly meddling and causing heartache for her daughter who will have to decide whom to side with. 🤦🏼♀️
I can relate to Sarah, I was in the military for 15 years before I met my husband. I had a friend who let me borrow a knit cream color knee length dress. We've been married 32 years. She chose the best dress, she looked beautiful.
She did beautifully on her own. I really related with what she said about being able to be in the quiet and think to herself. It shows her personality. I found my wedding dress on my own and then took my family and friends to see it. I still got to enjoy the fun and feedback from those I love, and I got to make the decision of my dress on my own without the sounds of opinions from others.
Y'all need to remember what the bride does on a daily basis. What kind of work does she do and how does she dress for work. This one being a Military minded woman, so think Military and organized. She ended up choosing the very thing I would have chosen. Sheath or mermaid satin, no lace and minimal bling, but tailored organized fabric accents. She looked comfortable in it.
I'm very proud of this woman making her own decisions as a soon-to-be married woman. I also appreciate that although her mother may have not liked the choice she still only saw the smile and that is all that mattered to her. That's the mark of a good parent when you can put your own feelings aside and only concentrate on your child smile
I just ❤ this episode of "Say Yes To The Dress"!! In the beginning, my heart was very saddened for the bride to be especially watching her sit on the couch alone while her entrouge were shopping for her perfect dress. Then....Va-Voom, THE B.T.B. found her dress displaying right in front of her eyes!! 😊 And just knew in her heart that it was "THE ONE"!! ❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊 PERFECT!!!! She looked exquisite!! Best Wishes!
Shes a county girl whos in the military. No surprise she doesn't know what she wants. Thank you both for serving. She made the ruggt choice and i LOVE the vail.
Of course Lori & Monte are a fun team to see. It also makes me smile whenever I see Robin in an episode. I thought she did a great job supporting the bride. ❤
Watching this, shouting at my phone, saying put her either in a trumpet, mermaid, or even an A-line dress. 😂 glad she said yes to the one she picked out. I love Lori at the end about saying peace and quiet, I wonder what that's like, while glaring at Monty 😂😂😂
All we see here is her entourage giving the opinions and discouraging the bride. I like the way the bride takes things in her own hands and chooses and a dress for herself, taking back the reins of the appointment
don’t know if anyone else felt like it but it seemed SO STORY LIKE. everyone’s fighting over a dress and the one SHE chose was on the manikin in front of her the whole time. love love love this
it's not the dress that makes the bride - it's the bride that makes the dress. It really doesn't matter which dress you pick, as long as you feel happy in it!
In the end it was good she was left alone because it gave her room to breathe and think for herself. She clearly knows what she likes but she probably doubts herself because everyone around her is telling her "she doesn't know fashion"
I actually liked the first one best on her, but I think that style-wise, her choice was much closer to her personality. And that is what matters. I also loved the fact that this time her mom, even if she did not like the dress, just went along with it as she saw how happy her daughter was, instead insisting on her choice. What's that about mothers having the last word in the brides' dress anyways? Will they have to wear it?
shes gorgeous!! Definitely a silk girl. I loved the huge ballgown on her - would have loved to see a big silk ballgown on her but her pick was very classy.
I have seen this particular video before, but I have to come back and visit it every so often. Sarah made such a great choice with this dress. I can't think of anything that would look as beautiful on her as this one. Not a fan of the over dramatization, but man! She rocks that dress!
Mothers keep saying: "Every mother wants to see her daughter in a princess/Cinderella dress"... Me: "NO - I certainly don't." I want to see my daughter in a dress that suits her personality and it can be classic or boho or vintage if she's not a "girlie" type.
Well, even though I don't like those kinds of people, to be fair, the appointment started with the bride saying "I don't know what I want" So, I feel that the friends really wanted to help her. 🤷🏻♀️

Strapless dress with puffy bottom doesnt suit her body or her style” Then she started looking at it and was like “omg I hope she picks it!”
I've seen this one before. She looked lovely in the dress she chose - it was her. What gets me is, she said she wasn't girly, so why on earth would she want to be in a princess dress?!! Her mum had completely the wrong idea...and was just feeding her own needs, not her daughter's.

This bride made a great choice. The dress fits her personality beautifully. Momma's gonna have to get used to the fact her princess is all grown up.
Mom doesn't seem to have a problem with her being all grown up , but the best friend seemed shell shocked that the bride chose the dress without her input. The way she said that she would have to choose the dress was really irritating.
It's one of my all time fav dresses on Sytd.
Wear the army clothes....not a dress. Make a dress out of the army clothes
Agreed. The mom didn’t bother me, the friend REALLY did.
I loved the moment when everyone was gone and the bride quietly looked at the dress on the mannequin. That was so sweet and I'm so glad she chose for herself! She looked stunning!
So right. It was like watching a flower blossom in front of you.
She became STUNNING in her dress. Lit up and feminine, comfortable and confident.
The title made me think she was going to be a spoiled daughter but being in the military makes so much more sense

I thought it was gonna be about a girl with 8 older siblings who only wore hand-me-downs her entire life 😂
Lol I saw the salute in the thumbnail and I thought “she has to be military.”
She looked absolutely stunning in all the dresses. Her smile in the one she chose was the real clincher.
Shez one of the most sorted bride to be & has a great sense of what makes HER feel good.Great to see a strong woman who doesn't get swayed by opinions.
She picked a beautiful dress for herself. She looks stunning.
That dress was classic - bride was gorgeous. Wishing her and the groom great joy. 😊
“Everybody wants their daughter to be a princess.” This statement baffles me. Lots of moms seem to feel this way but LOTS DON’T!
Right? I think my mother would have rather seen me in anything BUT a cake-topper dress. She wore one for her wedding because that was the fashion at the time but she would have probably been shocked if I wanted something like that now. Never tried to dress me up as a princess, either.

It's like "Every little girl dreams of a fairytale wedding" or "The most fulfilling job for any woman is being a mom".
I just said the same thing. So many mothers on this show say that, and it's so ridiculous.
Not me. Both my daughters wore non-princess simple dresses. It was their decision to make, not mine.
I was so proud of the friends jumping on the bride train as soon as she showed some gusto.
Oh my gosh DID SHE PICK A DRESS OR WHAT?! Her first choice and she CRUSHED IT
I laughed when her best friend said she knows her best. And she chose her own beautiful dress!!!
Aweee poor mom, too bad😂🤣😅🤣😂

Oh Monty! Who can reign u in and who’d want to. Ur the best!!
One of the most beautiful and elegant gowns on the show so far.I love it.
I knew she's a taffetta/silk woman, not a dainty lace woman. I was so happy she figured the dress out herself. ❤
So glad she picked her own dress. She picked the perfect dress for her - beautiful!!!
Oh crikey I love their banter, 'peace and quiet, I wonder what that's like?' lol ;)
She chose well.

I knew she'd pick something more classic. The only being was the belt. Happy for her & that SHE picked it out!!!!!
I love Monte and Lori's relationship. They are too cute!

I loved watching this bride go thru the whole experience of finding the right dress for her! I cried when she found the right one!
These make me cry! My momma was so supportive of the dress that I wanted and got!! She didn’t really care what I got!

This young lady is so pretty
She looks amasing in her own choise
Way to Sarah....you definitely got me in tears when you put that dress on.
Also....thank you so much for your service!!
*What a figure in that dress!! And her first dress, too. Everyone in a raucous crowd, whilst she is alone, quietly finding her dress.*
Definitly loving the dress she took, fits her perfect and suits her beauitifully.

Wow that taffetta gown was perfect for her

She looks fabulous in that dress. It is so pretty and suits her.
Before she picked the dress it is exactly what I was thinking for her, satin! Simple classic. Great choice!
I actually liked the first one best on her, but I think that style-wise, her choice was much closer to her personality. And that is what matters.

That dress she took on the mannequin was absolutely stunning on her!! ❤
I'm baffled why they didn't immediately look at satin with sleek lines when poof and lace were immediately shot down.
I immediately wondered the same thing. As professionals I wondered why they didn't go for classic satin after the first dress
That Dress its Gorgeous , !!! and Enhance her Beauty, She really make the right decision. I Love That Dress and the Way they complement each other.

The bride totally won! That dress is great ❤

I love Sarah's wedding dress of her choice the accessories for her dress absolutely complement her wedding dress of Sarah's choice ❤⚘💯
I love Monte and the gang… best version of the show ❤
I've seen this one before. She looked lovely in the dress she chose - it was her. What gets me is, she said she wasn't girly, so why on earth would she want to be in a princess dress?!! Her mum had completely the wrong idea...and was just feeding her own needs, not her daughter's.
My GOD! WHAT A DREAM COUPLE! HOW NICE!
Monte is awesome.
I liked the part, when she said "I did". :)
I like it when mothers who don't like their daughters' choice agree to like it because they want to see them happy
Good to see a bride getting away from the endless strapless dresses
The bride has taste!
that dress she picked was beautiful and matched the bride
That dress stunning!
The bride was not very girly, but she had a fabulous shape. She looked great in everything she tried.
She is so gorgeous
Bride made the right choice for herself! No, Mama, Not all moms want their daughters to be princesses! So sad!
The 'jacked-up' moment is always my favourite.
I love mom's choice, but it wasn't her dress. She made the perfect choice in a few minutes, no fuss, no drama ❤
The dress she chose😍
the bride's choice is very straight, crisp , pressed look, just like a national guard uniform.......except pretty
Great choice
What IS it with the mothers at this bridal shop?
Just wanted her to say “I hate your idea MOM!”
I liked the dress she picked, and before I saw it I thought to my self take a simple but elegant dress.. and she did
She’s so cute and sweet
oh my gosh she looks beautiful
I love her pick💖
