Great 101 on trolling irl. Personally, I’ve shown a talent at this from an early age. One of my proudest moments was getting sent home from the 100th International Scout Jamboree on the second to last day for, “inciting mutinous behavior from the entire troop”! We had a tyrant of a scoutmaster who expected our senior patrol leader to be a puppet and basically repeat what he was told. He was really strict and made rules that deprived us of many of the experiences from meeting other scouts/exploring. Coming from a troop where scouting was run by the Boy Scouts and the adult leaders stayed back to let us take charge (while being there to offer advice/fulfill guardian (18+) requirements), this was unacceptable. Starting with a few disgruntled scouts, we slowly turned the whole troop into rebelling. Even got the senior patrol leader to stand up for himself and take back some initiative. On return, the unhappy scoutmaster called our council and troop master, demanding I be kicked out of scouting. My Home troop master kindly told him, No! While not thrilled with my behavior, he understood that where we were coming from and seemed impressed at how United the scouts were against the bad scoutmaster.
All of my local Scout leaders were amazing people. It wasn't until I was at some sort of Jamboree that I saw a tyrannical Scout leader. I wish I had the guts to what you had done. I was much too timid in my youth to take that sort of action. Kudos on you for rebelling against tyranny.
I missed out on the chance to go to the 2015 or 16 world jamboree cause I was sick but I was able to to the Canadian one in silvan lake, Alberta back in 2012 or 13 I can’t remember. I had a retired 35-year navy vet for a scoutmaster. He wasn’t necessarily strict, but he was a leader and a teacher. He was the most senior and respected at jamborees and we loved him. My first exposure to these tactics were actually when I started working in the politics sphere. These are unfortunately all very common tactics in the political playbook. That politician, lawyer, consultant that has been repeatedly directed by to do something that they can never seem to get it done but always has support from other well connected people, they are using these tactics. It is what allows politicians to kill projects that compete with their vested interests.
The United States is governed by a Republic. A Republic can survive only thru the citizens maintaining high moral character. There are enough checks and balances already in US law and statutes to en-force correct execution, or change in the laws to maintain. The corruption within is the people's gauge of the people's character.

a group I run called "the sons of stark" got an agent on the planning committee for the antifa group at the university of NH. there was a rally/riot planned in boston, buses were funded out of their own pockets to get the UNH group to boston. another person, not our agent to maintain their cover, called the bus company and got the buses to arrive hours early, leave empty, and leave boston early also empty. the antifa group had to arrange, on the fly, to transport a large number of people from NH to boston..they carpooled, and 90% of the group had to stay home. it also cost the group a large amount of money, both the buses and the gas they had to use in their personal cars. they never suspected our agent, who has since moved on to other things or I wouldn't be sharing this story....

Hire expensive contractors to do things you could do yourself or have other employees do. Do it under the guise of increasing efficiency when in actuality it wastes money and slows things down. I'm a computer/electronics/office machine whiz so it was hilarious after my employer went through almost a year of what seemed like calling a repair company weekly to keep an old multifunction copier working. It was not under a repair contact so he paid per work order. He finally paid an OUTRAGEOUS amount on a brand new machine to replace it and caught me basically tearing it apart one day when it jammed really bad. He asked why I hadn't fixed the old machine instead of letting him pay a company to do it and I said it wasn't in my job description and because he never asked. I transferred out to another location shortly after lol.

As someone who values teamwork and efficiency above many things, at first I emotionally resisted this content as I listened through. Then the utility became undeniable and the pop-culture references entertaining enough to carry on. I finished this video feeling more informed/educated on tactics I’ve never even dreamed of needing (let alone thought through or done in work environments) but can now simulate circumstances where I’d really want/need such displeasing methods and can even manufacture my own “legal sabotage” tactics as well as spot who may be doing the same. I truly appreciate the breakdowns you’ve offered. My tactic addition that was not mentioned is Physical Bumbling. Say, every so often, when you have to reload the printer, move many small items, or may otherwise completely obliterate the organization of physical objects because of “clumsiness” and inattention to physical elements, you manufacture maneuvers/situations that slow or even halt operations until it’s dealt with by distributing those things in chaotic or just overwhelming ways. IE the printer paper is suddenly all down the flight of stairs you carried it up/down to store/reload. Or the mail cart snagged/tripped and there’s envelopes everywhere. Cables stored incorrectly/tangled, files mis-placed under wrong but almost-right tabs, work orders/confirmations dated incorrectly etc. I don’t like it at all, but it really gets me thinking... It’s the LAST thing I’d want to happen in all work scenarios, but seems accessible and admissible.
Thanks for the comments; you are absolutely right...for someone with a strong work ethic, these topics are a hard pill to swallow. I guess the intention is really to give some people an option, who had not thought of this stuff before. I would like to add a device to your list, Sensitivity Training. Training can be done quarterly with rotating subjects: showing respect, using proper words, gender sensitive, not being too friendly. This leads to people communicating and training others especially the opposite sex less, using the "Pence Principle" of having the office door open if two people of the opposite sex are in the office. Projects can be negatively affected by "its easier to say nothing than to fight to do it the right way". I have years of experience seeing this in action.
Enforcing an even stricter rule that two people of opposite sex must have a third person present or similar is already being done in several companies and can slow projects to a crawl as communication breaks down. It can also promote animosity among co workers as there is less face to face interaction and more racist/sexist rules against men can do the same, causing animosity towards female or minority co workers, giving an excuse for even more training and rules.
Ive found this to be one of the biggest factor, not just in the workplace in general. if someone is argumentative and just wants to be a contrarian, pulling faces at any little suggestion, this is probably the easiest way to make someone disengage. It immediately makes them do a calculation of how much they care and if how much they care is worth the emotion and mental effort to engage with the person and if its a workplace the care factor is probably pretty close to 0
For the bathroom break, you simply go to your doctor and get a diagnosis of Irritable bowel syndrome. They cant touch you for fear of violation of the ADA. And you only need to tell HR, if your manager targets your thats a violation of the ADA. You are covered. Also works for abusing, I mean using, sick time, at that critical time during a project.
I remember when working at Amazon as a Security Guard - there was these cleaner ladies who were so in love w/ each other that they one day used permanent marker to write and draw on the wall in the West Side Toilets - which shut them down for a while. If something like that were to happen in the North Bathrooms then A LOT of traffic would've been forced to go East, West and South in the Facility (since the North Bathrooms have A LOT of toilets and the rest are limited - so having them shut off for a long time would lead to lines, delayed quotas and A LOT of pissed off employees - probably even a lot of firings).

Yt compression is a result of censors logrythms. The ai has issues discerning weather to /not to censor. Meshing the audio and voice files together separately from the video and including random generated noise in the same freqs as the voice /audio high/ lows can seriously confuse the system.

It makes me wonder if I've actually seen these first hand. But I have seen one technique work rather well. Discontent. Everyone talked about how bad Everyone was, to the point that nothing got done or was done correctly, no one respected anyone, leading to everyone purposely doing or not doing things because of that person, and eventually lead to infighting and people quitting and /or getting fired. It was a constant turn over and the company lost alot of time and money.

When filling out your application, on the government ethnicity form, claim to be a believable minority. The govt. requires that businesses hire certain minorities, and it’s harder for businesses to fire minorities that th e govt says they need to have. And you can call discrimination against them if they fire you or act like they’re going to.
I've tried this before, albeit for different reasons, and it did not go as planned. I have Native American heritage on my Father's side (Shoshone/Newe), and if you saw me in person it would be quite apparent; especially when compared to my Half Brother who has a different Father. But since I have no "Tribal Identity" in the form of a Membership, I've been told I'll be commiting a form of fraud if I claim such on any legal documents. The best I can manage to do is mark "two or more ethnicities/races"... if it is even an option, but that doesn't qualify for minority status - for obvious reasons (most people are two or more ethnicities/races) and nor do I want to qualify for that status. Though it's pretty strange having to seemingly self identify as explicitly "Caucasian/White" because my Mother is White and my Father's Great Grandmother had an (illegal) interracial relationship with my Great Grandfather. I hope that one day these arbitrary social constructs such as Ethnicity and Race will be less important in the eyes of the Legal System, Universities, Corporations, and Governments alike. Identify is important, but it shouldn't be a determining factor in any contexts.

When I was in college, I, a conservative, joined all the leftist groups and took my time to develop personal relationships with the leadership in each group. Only after much time had elapsed, I began to more and more openly state my views. One of two things happened: 1) I would persuade them to agree with me, or 2) they would get angry at me, cause a scene, and cause other group members to question their devotion to the cause. I wasn't necessarily trying to be subversive, but the second strategy seemed to work pretty well for tearing the groups apart. People avoid conflict, and when they saw that the leadership of the groups became disfunctional, irritable, and disagreeable, they stopped showing up to meetings and left the group chats. I had destroyed their unified vision and forced their leaders to become increasingly confrontational against any perceived disagreement. The rest of the members didn't want to put up with that. Interesting stuff, when you consider the real-world potential...

I feel like most of my coworkers and managers have been doing this, especially in the IT dept... taking a month or longer to onboard someone before they can even work is quite effective atstalling a project. Also creating bad documentation for how to use tools in a very inefficent manner that creates additional work, systems getting the wrong code deployed and having to redo testing at the last min. Poor project planning and never accounting for fixing mistakes, selecting expensive and bad tools for future projects, questioning every decision and going down rabbitholes, taking shortcuts that you know will bite back. Hiring only junior / outsourced people so they don't know better and need tons of training, short term contractors are best since they need onboarding and training every 3 to 6 months... you can do so so much in industries where everything is outsourced and mgmt has never understood the full process. I can learn a lot from my coworkers lol.
I use the bathroom trick at my university. I'm paying a lot of money to go there and the best they can do is single ply? That's fine, I'll just use four times as much as I need. The automatic sinks run 10 seconds before turning off? Now I need to wash them extra long. The paper towel dispenser gives you a single piece and has to wait 10 seconds before it can give you another piece? I'll just go down the line and get a sheet from all the dispensers then go back through the line til I fell that my hands are dry.

I've done this before talking to girls when I had a supervisor position and making it look like I was working and acting real pissed off and I stole it from Seinfeld yes but I still did it and it was fun and it worked but I wasn't good worker but every time the Boston come look for me to do something he'd see me in the office and I'd act like I'm riding something down and pissed off and he'd turn around doing about face and go the other direction worked every time! Also you can say you're stressed out from the current events and you're just not thinking straight and you can deliberately not do things and just blame it on the current situation that can stall things and take up some time being very apologetic acting like you just really didn't mean to do it!

Personally, I’ve shown a talent at this from an early age. One of my proudest moments was getting sent home from the 100th International Scout Jamboree on the second to last day for, “inciting mutinous behavior from the entire troop”! We had a tyrant of a scoutmaster who expected our senior patrol leader to be a puppet and basically repeat what he was told. He was really strict and made rules that deprived us of many of the experiences from meeting other scouts/exploring. Coming from a troop where scouting was run by the Boy Scouts and the adult leaders stayed back to let us take charge (while being there to offer advice/fulfill guardian (18+) requirements), this was unacceptable. Starting with a few disgruntled scouts, we slowly turned the whole troop into rebelling. Even got the senior patrol leader to stand up for himself and take back some initiative.
On return, the unhappy scoutmaster called our council and troop master, demanding I be kicked out of scouting. My Home troop master kindly told him, No! While not thrilled with my behavior, he understood that where we were coming from and seemed impressed at how United the scouts were against the bad scoutmaster.
All of my local Scout leaders were amazing people. It wasn't until I was at some sort of Jamboree that I saw a tyrannical Scout leader. I wish I had the guts to what you had done. I was much too timid in my youth to take that sort of action.

I missed out on the chance to go to the 2015 or 16 world jamboree cause I was sick but I was able to to the Canadian one in silvan lake, Alberta back in 2012 or 13 I can’t remember.

It sucks that the scouts have become a joke. I remember seeing other troops and feeling bad for them because their scoutmaster was either strict, or an asshole. Now as an adult, I think that those were the pedophiles and they used their authority to do things they shouldn’t.
My first exposure to these tactics were actually when I started working in the politics sphere. These are unfortunately all very common tactics in the political playbook. That politician, lawyer, consultant that has been repeatedly directed by to do something that they can never seem to get it done but always has support from other well connected people, they are using these tactics. It is what allows politicians to kill projects that compete with their vested interests.
They are also very common for organized crime and racketeering to dominate businesses and communities.

a group I run called "the sons of stark" got an agent on the planning committee for the antifa group at the university of NH. there was a rally/riot planned in boston, buses were funded out of their own pockets to get the UNH group to boston.
another person, not our agent to maintain their cover, called the bus company and got the buses to arrive hours early, leave empty, and leave boston early also empty. the antifa group had to arrange, on the fly, to transport a large number of people from NH to boston..they carpooled, and 90% of the group had to stay home. it also cost the group a large amount of money, both the buses and the gas they had to use in their personal cars.

Hire expensive contractors to do things you could do yourself or have other employees do. Do it under the guise of increasing efficiency when in actuality it wastes money and slows things down.
I'm a computer/electronics/office machine whiz so it was hilarious after my employer went through almost a year of what seemed like calling a repair company weekly to keep an old multifunction copier working. It was not under a repair contact so he paid per work order. He finally paid an OUTRAGEOUS amount on a brand new machine to replace it and caught me basically tearing it apart one day when it jammed really bad. He asked why I hadn't fixed the old machine instead of letting him pay a company to do it and I said it wasn't in my job description and because he never asked.
I transferred out to another location shortly after lol.

As someone who values teamwork and efficiency above many things, at first I emotionally resisted this content as I listened through.
Then the utility became undeniable and the pop-culture references entertaining enough to carry on.
I finished this video feeling more informed/educated on tactics I’ve never even dreamed of needing (let alone thought through or done in work environments) but can now simulate circumstances where I’d really want/need such displeasing methods and can even manufacture my own “legal sabotage” tactics as well as spot who may be doing the same.

My tactic addition that was not mentioned is Physical Bumbling.
Say, every so often, when you have to reload the printer, move many small items, or may otherwise completely obliterate the organization of physical objects because of “clumsiness” and inattention to physical elements, you manufacture maneuvers/situations that slow or even halt operations until it’s dealt with by distributing those things in chaotic or just overwhelming ways. IE the printer paper is suddenly all down the flight of stairs you carried it up/down to store/reload.
Or the mail cart snagged/tripped and there’s envelopes everywhere. Cables stored incorrectly/tangled, files mis-placed under wrong but almost-right tabs, work orders/confirmations dated incorrectly etc.
I don’t like it at all, but it really gets me thinking...
It’s the LAST thing I’d want to happen in all work scenarios, but seems accessible and admissible.

I would like to add a device to your list, Sensitivity Training. Training can be done quarterly with rotating subjects: showing respect, using proper words, gender sensitive, not being too friendly. This leads to people communicating and training others especially the opposite sex less, using the "Pence Principle" of having the office door open if two people of the opposite sex are in the office. Projects can be negatively affected by "its easier to say nothing than to fight to do it the right way". I have years of experience seeing this in action.
Enforcing an even stricter rule that two people of opposite sex must have a third person present or similar is already being done in several companies and can slow projects to a crawl as communication breaks down. It can also promote animosity among co workers as there is less face to face interaction and more racist/sexist rules against men can do the same, causing animosity towards female or minority co workers, giving an excuse for even more training and rules.
Ive found this to be one of the biggest factor, not just in the workplace in general. if someone is argumentative and just wants to be a contrarian, pulling faces at any little suggestion, this is probably the easiest way to make someone disengage.
It immediately makes them do a calculation of how much they care and if how much they care is worth the emotion and mental effort to engage with the person and if its a workplace the care factor is probably pretty close to 0
For the bathroom break, you simply go to your doctor and get a diagnosis of Irritable bowel syndrome. They cant touch you for fear of violation of the ADA. And you only need to tell HR, if your manager targets your thats a violation of the ADA. You are covered. Also works for abusing, I mean using, sick time, at that critical time during a project.
I remember when working at Amazon as a Security Guard - there was these cleaner ladies who were so in love w/ each other that they one day used permanent marker to write and draw on the wall in the West Side Toilets - which shut them down for a while.
If something like that were to happen in the North Bathrooms then A LOT of traffic would've been forced to go East, West and South in the Facility (since the North Bathrooms have A LOT of toilets and the rest are limited - so having them shut off for a long time would lead to lines, delayed quotas and A LOT of pissed off employees - probably even a lot of firings).
Toilets and urinals at the grocery store bathroom regularly get clogged with paper towels.

Yt compression is a result of censors logrythms. The ai has issues discerning weather to /not to censor. Meshing the audio and voice files together separately from the video and including random generated noise in the same freqs as the voice /audio high/ lows can seriously confuse the system.
I had to bury my phone into my ear just to hear the audio over the background music - and that was at full volume! You guys definetly need to fix the audio compression issue - or something. Great show/channel otherwise.

It makes me wonder if I've actually seen these first hand. But I have seen one technique work rather well. Discontent. Everyone talked about how bad Everyone was, to the point that nothing got done or was done correctly, no one respected anyone, leading to everyone purposely doing or not doing things because of that person, and eventually lead to infighting and people quitting and /or getting fired. I've tried this before, albeit for different reasons, and it did not go as planned.
I have Native American heritage on my Father's side (Shoshone/Newe), and if you saw me in person it would be quite apparent; especially when compared to my Half Brother who has a different Father. But since I have no "Tribal Identity" in the form of a Membership, I've been told I'll be commiting a form of fraud if I claim such on any legal documents.
The best I can manage to do is mark "two or more ethnicities/races"... if it is even an option, but that doesn't qualify for minority status - for obvious reasons (most people are two or more ethnicities/races) and nor do I want to qualify for that status.
Though it's pretty strange having to seemingly self identify as explicitly "Caucasian/White" because my Mother is White and my Father's Great Grandmother had an (illegal) interracial relationship with my Great Grandfather.
I hope that one day these arbitrary social constructs such as Ethnicity and Race will be less important in the eyes of the Legal System, Universities, Corporations, and Governments alike. Identify is important, but it shouldn't be a determining factor in any contexts.

When I was in college, I, a conservative, joined all the leftist groups and took my time to develop personal relationships with the leadership in each group. Only after much time had elapsed, I began to more and more openly state my views. One of two things happened: 1) I would persuade them to agree with me, or 2) they would get angry at me, cause a scene, and cause other group members to question their devotion to the cause.
I wasn't necessarily trying to be subversive, but the second strategy seemed to work pretty well for tearing the groups apart. People avoid conflict, and when they saw that the leadership of the groups became disfunctional, irritable, and disagreeable, they stopped showing up to meetings and left the group chats. I had destroyed their unified vision and forced their leaders to become increasingly confrontational against any perceived disagreement. The rest of the members didn't want to put up with that.

I feel like most of my coworkers and managers have been doing this, especially in the IT dept... taking a month or longer to onboard someone before they can even work is quite effective atstalling a project. Also creating bad documentation for how to use tools in a very inefficent manner that creates additional work, systems getting the wrong code deployed and having to redo testing at the last min. Poor project planning and never accounting for fixing mistakes, selecting expensive and bad tools for future projects, questioning every decision and going down rabbitholes, taking shortcuts that you know will bite back. Hiring only junior / outsourced people so they don't know better and need tons of training, short term contractors are best since they need onboarding and training every 3 to 6 months... you can do so so much in industries where everything is outsourced and mgmt has never understood the full process. I can learn a lot from my coworkers lol.

I use the bathroom trick at my university. I'm paying a lot of money to go there and the best they can do is single ply? That's fine, I'll just use four times as much as I need. The automatic sinks run 10 seconds before turning off? Now I need to wash them extra long. The paper towel dispenser gives you a single piece and has to wait 10 seconds before it can give you another piece? I'll just go down the line and get a sheet from all the dispensers then go back through the line til I fell that my hands are dry.

Good discussion, but technically this isn't sabotoge. This is SUBVERSION. Sabotage is physical damage or destruction of property. Subversion is a general term for weakening an institution, which covers all of the actions described.

I've done this before talking to girls when I had a supervisor position and making it look like I was working and acting real pissed off and I stole it from Seinfeld yes but I still did it and it was fun and it worked but I wasn't good worker but every time the Boston come look for me to do something he'd see me in the office and I'd act like I'm riding something down and pissed off and he'd turn around doing about face and go the other direction worked every time! Also you can say you're stressed out from the current events and you're just not thinking straight and you can deliberately not do things and just blame it on the current situation that can stall things and take up some time being very apologetic acting like you just really didn't mean to do it!
