I have said this for many years, “People would be amazed at what is right at their feet if only they could slow down enough to look.” I have loved teaching our children about the natural world, some things they just can’t learn in school. 😊💙
Enjoy these much more than boat videos
You’d change your mind if you had a boat. 😉🤣
Apples and oranges.
@@TheFishLocker Not necessarily.
What an amazing father you are! Your little guy is so cute and respectful! What an awesome/ fun thing to teach your kids!
We are simply sharing what we love doing. I have been waiting since before our children were born to teach them these things. 😊💙
What happens to the lobster shells when they shed. Does it eventually degrade? How long does this take?
Like I said in the video, often they are eaten.
The clarity of water and abundance of sea greens, plants and kelp make it look like it is tropical realm!
It is wonderful what a healthy ecosystem can be like isn’t it. 😊
I watch all of these videos with a drooling mouth. It is a shame i can not have any of these sea food in my country. The only thing i can get are mussels and they are a bit tiny. Not many people care about continuity of the species so they harvest the shit out of them.
That is a terrible shame and unfortunately not an uncommon problem.
Love the foraging videos
That’s good because we love making them. 😊👍🏻
@@TheFishLocker Thanks for responding, the way you guys Teach about nature is great and relaxing
Nice vids as always 😊.. quick question are there good sea urchins in the coast where you're from? Ifeel like i haven't seen those in your cooking videos yet...sorry for my bad English its not my mother tongue 😅😅
You will see them often in our diving videos. But they are not good eating. So we leave them where they are. 😊👍🏻
May I comment-? I think most people, for whom English isn't their first language actually have better writing/grammar skills than many who only know English.
Between UK English and United States English the grammar rules are so hard!
Your English is very very nice Izanamiskie. Have a great day
🥰
@@Emeraldwitch30 i agree. native english speaker here. I had some spanish friends learning english and were sending me homework asking for help. Some of the stuff i have never learned, I just know it because I am native, but could never pass one of their exams
So nice to see you spend time with James and teach him how to forage. The way the world is going he might need to know. I like to set my marshmallows on fire and quickly blow them out. Yum yum.
I am not thinking too much on how the world may be in the future. But I do hope that I may teach my son how to be a good man.
The teachings you teach your son are priceless I fish and hunt with all of my kiddos and gold pan
I am glad you share our values and are teaching your children about the world. 😊👍🏻💙
Father and son adventures together, moments he will remember long after you've gone. Special.
These are moments I will cherish. 😊
This man just loves the ocean and all the nature that lives in it. Love your content man.
"I don't like it... I love it!" from James was also great hahaha.
Haha. It’s always a little bit risky with James now. You never know what might come out of his mouth. 🤣🤣
@@TheFishLocker This time you got pure gold hahaha
Finally !! Someone who agrees with my opinion of the perfect amount of marshmallow toasting !!
Haha.
What a lovely video. Fancy James tucking into a lobster! He's come on a bundle. James will be competing with you for the whole lobster soon. Thank you
When that day comes I will happily eat the Hula hoops. 😉🦞
Great to see father and son enjoying some quality time together. Rather crafty offering the Hola Hoops to your son so you could enjoy more lobster😂. Great informative video.
Haha. What can I say mate? 🤷🏻♂️🤣🦞
go on james lad good on ya for trying lobster again, good to see you out john and always nice to see a proud dad as you rightly should be!
Won’t be long and he’ll be fighting me for the lobster tail. 🤣🦞
I wish to one day be a dad as you are with your son. May you both enjoy those outdoors trips!
I hope that you get your wish and that you and your children have much joy. 😊
The gaze you two shared at 30:10... What an absolutely genuine look of love between father and son 💕😭
He makes me so proud. 😊💙
I love that in 15-20 years time, we wont look back on this but mini fish locker will. And thats the most important part! You’re making memories now, not really youtube videos 👍🎣🎣
I love that I have a living photo album of our time on the shore. 💙
I love that you don’t just do everything in front of James, instead you get him involved and educate him! ❤
I have been waiting since before our son was born to teach him these things, and some of them he needs to learn with only minimal direction from me. Some things he must learn on his own but with safety supervision. 😉
Another great video, living the life and involving your son what’s better than that 😊 your a great teacher and a pleasure to watch looking forward to a lot more 😁👍
Thank you Paul, I have been waiting since before our son was born to teach him these things so it brings me great joy. 😊🦞
I am not sure how I stumbled upon this channel but this content is so incredibly educational, relaxing and wholesome!
I do not mind how people find us, simply that they enjoy their time with us. Welcome to our channel and have a wonderful day. 😊🦞
Your boy I growing up so fast next thing you know he’ll be driving the boat fishing and taking over the show thanks for the videos
On that day I shall be a happy man. 👍🏻
You're a wonderful father
I am simply doing my best. 😊💙
Your videos are always educational and very enjoyable. Rock pools are like another world.
I am glad that you find them interesting Jim. 😊
I think all your videos are great, but the foraging ones are my favourite, I love having a rummage through the rocks.
Thanks again John 👍🏴
I love them too, winter is just a difficult time to make them due to the weather. 🤷🏻♂️
What a lovely afternoon for you and James. More kiddos need a dad like you. I appreciate your consideration for the environment and you knowledge of the flora and fauna is wonderful to see. Thank you for sharing. 🦞
I love spending time with James like this. Some things you can really only learn by doing. Have a lovely day and take care. 😊
Love seeing you and your son. You are so patient with him.
I don’t see why a father wouldn’t be patient with his son. 🤷🏻♂️
Love the way you are with James and how you encourage him 😂
He is my pride and joy. 💙
What a lucky man, and what a great dad. 👍🦂 What lovely memories James will have.
We are simply raising him how we feel is right. We might not get it right all the time but we are doing our best. 😊
You are very nice person and wonderful dad, Yore wife is lucky to have you :)
I shall tell her that. 🤣😉
Love it and the bond you James have. It’s so funny how he will try something’s and then you said the wild garlic and he said I don’t like it and you told him he’s never had it. That’s just like my kid she isn’t very explorative when it comes to food. Lol thank you for sharing your explorations with your family.
It is our pleasure. We are simply sharing what we love doing. 😊👍🏻
Another gem from you and James. I never stop learning from your channel.
Thank you.
I am glad you find the videos informative 😊👍🏻
Absolute thumbs up for not babying James too much around the fire 👍✌️🏴
This was all an opportunity for James to learn. He will likely burn his fingers at some point as most boys do - but will learn the lesson quick. I try to give him enough space to be able to explore and learn for himself but with just enough supervision to keep him safe. 😉
Just such a pleasure to watch. Simple pleasures in life and bonding with your son.
I have honestly been waiting since before James was born to teach him these things. 😊💙
Yet another of your vlogs that simply have me enthralled, and make the most of James they grow up all too quickly.
He has already grown so much in the time we have been making these videos. 😊💙
Excellent foraging video and cook up John, your side kicks growing fast and you’ve finally got James to eat a bit of lobster. Thanks team👍
The best side kick in the world. 😊
Vids like this are a tonic in today's time.
We are simply sharing what we know and love doing. 😊🦞
This video is amazing, so heartwarming and educational. Well done sir and absolutely adorable kid you've got.
Thank you. James is such a sweetheart isn’t he. 😊🦞💙
