After the initial 30Nm tightening on the head bolts the middle bolts are going to be loose because of the gasket squeezing. Would it be right to retorque all the bolts untill they are all at 30Nm or just let them loose and move on?
Actually it is my habit to recheck all the bolts after the first intial torque spec. On cylinder heads I do it even 2 times. And yes, most of them got looser, so I re-torqued them. Maybe I needed to include this in the video.
Hi, you have very cool videos. I have a mazda 6 gh 103kw and when the engine warms up the power drops and the turbo doesn't work at all. I don't know what to do. I have cleaned the particulate filter, new turbo and new air weight. I'm getting desperate. Any idea what it could be? Thanks
Hello, I need your help! I had the vanos unit removed, but both inlet & outlet helical gears still inside the hubs/cams. At this stage, I was turning the engine over to check timing and the inlet helical gear popped out (before this happened I already marked up the helical tooth in relation to inlet hub). However I think I turned the engine over to get the helical gear back in without realising the inlet cam was not turning but the exhaust cam was. Now my inlet camshaft seems to be completely out of time. I am not sure what to do? Will turning the engine over cause the valves to touch pistons if the inlet camshaft timing is way out?
You missed one important thing which is to set both cams and pistons to TDC before tightening the cams down. Otherwise the valves can contact the pistons and get bent
Hi Dimrtar that was a good video , good to see progress on this fine engine and you did get a lot of rain ( l could hear it) , you said you were sick , l hope just a cold or mild case of covid , and it is called a half moon key😁
Nice to watch on Sunday, looking forward to the next one!

That is why you put the pistons in the middle on all of the cylinders, and then you don't have to worry about this ;)

Hah yes it was raining a lot. I was close on this one
I'm very surprised you didn't fit the timing cover before the head. I think this is necessary
Every 6 cylinder BMW engine has this type of design. M-power or not, it is not needed, you can do it after. Depends how you prefer to work only.
Hello bro nice video 🙂🙂... Thank you so much to let us we see your nice work ...
Nice
We're the supertech valves lighter than the standard valves?
I'm using the OEM valves
@@crank3646 would lighter valves make any difference?
@@41956 It will for sure
So sad no raply 😢
Ajoj (Hi). You're pretty smart where you come from?
Bulgaria
He english just i cant.pres mute
But i like to ask you if you do tuning too? Or if you have email i can send you there please bro thank you so much
