Apparently your not a real believer in the Holocaust and most likely a Holocaust Denier. The so called Palestinians picked this place , even though their goal is to get all of Israel . US is still stuck in 20th century. It is acting like they still have it but this empire is old now and close to death. Like anything else in our lives, empires have a beginning and and end and are cyclical. US's turn is done and new empire(s) are rising. Stop making it seem that the conflict started on October 7. Israel has been committing ethnic cleansing and occupied Palestine for over 75 years. If you are trying to give analysis about this issue start from the beginning and the source of the conflict or be quiet.
Sorry, but I don’t quite agree with you either. I've never been into the history of the British Empire and the Middle East, but because of the current conflict, I read a little about the history and it hit me like cold water. This whole series of crusades in order to seize the “holy land” of Palestine, which were justified by rumors of disrespect for Christians, but in fact were the looting and destruction of Christian churches. All these epics about King Arthur, the Freemasonry and the Rosicrucians, then the occupation of a huge amount of lands in the Middle East before/in 1stWW? It turns out that for thousands of years, our Christian fanatics, obsessed with the idea of seizing the land of the Arabs, killed Muslims and Christians, and this was the norm. Isn't the subsequent annexation and transfer of Palestine to a quasi-Jewish state a continuation of this terror?
I think he was referring to the war. The October 7th attack is what caused Israel to declare war. I know Wolff knows the larger Israeli-Palestinian conflict goes back decades.
The population in Gaza doubled in the last ten years. Saying Israel is committing ethnic cleansing is factually absurd.
Prof. Wolff is an anti-American advocate who does not just oppose US policies but opposes America itself. His rants are tiresome.
@@dabrack9350 Wolff is definitely pro-American. He passionately cares about the wellbeing of Americans and shows it by advocating changes away from policies that favor the elite and hurt most. You can disagree with those views, but that certainly doesn’t make him anti-American.
I'm disappointed by Prof Wolff's remarks. The slaughter didn't start on Oct 7 as he clearly suggests. As he must know, the slaughter began 7-odd decades ago. Yes, there are two sides to it, but one is a genocidal occupier and the other its victims. Any other "analysis" is either informed by cowardice or an attempt at obfuscation, and I'm not sure which is more contemptible.

I can to say the same thing. People act like it was Marti Gras all day every day for the Palestinians before Oct 7. The truth is the Israeli Jews have been slaughtering, kidnapping or ethnically cleansing the Palestinians every day for 70+ years. This comment started off with the premise that history began on 10/7. Very sad when we know Dr. Wolff is well informed on current events, when he knows the US hegemonic interests, and the influence of AIPAC in the US. I am disappointed.

We have to look at the "Context". We must not get lost in the moment no matter what feelings it brings. The occupation is the key. We can not pretend like it never happened and is STILL happening. To say October 7th was the end all be all and the point of the beginning of the conflict is an absolute lie and must be called out.

I’ve shared in your amazement and joy as the ideas of socialism lost its taboo status in your country. As a socialist, it is my understanding that all socialists recognise and will defend the right of all nations to self determination. If this is true in Ukraine, it is also in Palestine. You characterise the situation in Gaza as a conflict between two sides but it’s in fact a struggle between a settler colonial regime and an oppressed, dispossessed and displaced colonial subject nation. You describe the experience of the oppressed Palestinians without naming it as ethnic cleansing or genocide and express a wish for a an agreement that would satisfy both sides. I’m sure, by now, you must realise that I’m completely dismayed by your remarks and your approach to the murder of Palestinian civilians, especially women and children by the nazi regime heading up the apartheid state of Israel. The beautiful people crossing are borders are being driven to parts the western and southern parts of Illinois and being dropped off at gas stations with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Other than other people helping out those who they can what’s the plan behind this. These people will freeze to death does anyone know if there was a plan in place? Do you think the people who crossed over have a destination and a place to stay? What’s the purpose behind letting such a great amount of people into the United States? Kudos to the professor. I thought he would remain neutral on this subject.
I was taken for a fast ride on the German Autobahn super highway in 1969, my US Army relative pointing out how wonderful it all was, how Eisenhower was imitating the wonder in the US. I was very uncomfortable as my Dad fought in the war as a Naval officer. But the experience taught me at 22 to be a total cynic, especially about gooey sentimental tears over genocide.
When this is over and the Gaza area is a masterpiece of Progress who will think about and be sad over this Christmas nightmare? Maybe a few bleeding heart Christians like me...who else? ...and will this ever give ammo to the Holocaust denial people, another tragedy.
How about the families of those murdered, how about the traumatized orphans. To distrust lies over the numbers and the motives no one is denying Jewish persecution in WW 2. It seems something is amiss when all we hear is the victimhood of Jews but never the 20 million slavs that Germans killed. Or gypsies, or gays or cripples or academics for tjhat matter just Jews.
Decent human beings will be appalled by what Israel is doing in Gaza for the rest of our lives. Sorry you're not one of us.
