thataylaa Sephora is always doing that with their 'new' section, makes me nuts! I think it's the same one I used a few years back in a gray compact. I just can't get cream foundations to work for me - they sit on my skin like a bad habit. 😜

I was trained on CoverFxover 10 years ago and this was one of their first products introduced. It was made in Canada and inspired by patients of Sunnybrook Hospital (burns, rosacea, vitiligo) in conjunction with a dermatologist and Lee Graf (makeup artist). The pigment load is incredibly high compared to most foundations, 32 per cent compared to 5 or 6 per cent. Therefore, only using a small amount is sufficient or else it starts to look cakey and heavy feeling. This particular foundation is made for drier skin types, whereas their NaturalFx is better suited for oilier but also only has 15 per cent pigment load and personally a better foundation The range is made for those with sensitive skin without mineral oil, parabens, gluten and other inflammation causing ingredients. When it first came out, we were shown one of the best ways to use it is with a traditional foundation brush, not kabuki nor beauty blender type sponge. .I hope this helps :)
Yep, when I was sold this over 10 years ago, I was instructed to use a flat foundation brush with it.

Thank you for this info. I need full coverage for my senior hyperpigmentation , and was recommended by the drug store clerk. I think this product is amazing, after trying many other brands and types. Cannot use small amount as mentioned. I too, have to swipe many times to put on one area, making this product goes fast and very expensive for a drug-store item. They could have redesigned the packaging, without the sponge/mirror part, that most people won't use. (for touch-up?) Hope this will reduce the cost and give us 'more' products.

Alicia Grimes I agree with what you saw and have felt the same about other foundations and RUclipsrs. I've come to realize it's due to poor translation of what they are seeing and what is being picked up on camera under lights.
Let me tell you, as a new subscriber, how amazing are these reviews you do. Not only you are incredibly mature, but also amazingly respectful and honest to your subscribers. I very rarely see mean, horrible comments here, so your viewers' base seems very nice and mature. Best part: I found a place in which I can geek out over foundations. Marissa Strong I actually love the Loreal Pro Glo too. It lasts a full wrk day and even tho my eyes water constantly (cold Canadian winter winds), it stays put. It's the only drug store one that works for my stubborn combo skin.
I have dry to normal skin and the tarte is deff not full coverage so I love the added coverage of the L'Oréal one and I figure in the summer when I tend to be more oily I can just the L'Oréal matte foundation instead haha try it!
I agree about the Tarte coverage. I don't understand how people get full coverage and I can barely get medium no matter how I apply it. 😫
Courtney Valicek yeah I'm not the type to add lots of layers to get full coverage when you can just buy a fuller coverage foundation haha but I like how it feels on my skin and the shade so I make it work

This foundation has actually been around for at least 5 years to my knowledge - it's actually the same formula as the CoverFX stick foundation you reviewed in your first 15 Days of Foundation series! Maybe it was featured in the new arrivals section of Sephora because of new shades added? :)

This is why I watch you! I love how honest you are, and you've seriously saved me from buying so many foundations. I have acne too, and I'm always down to try new foundations, but I'm a teacher and don't have lots of money to blow on high end foundations that say they're full coverage when they're not.

Everytime I watch these and see the time from when you first put on the foundation to when you finish your makeup, it amazes me how fast you finish your face. It takes me soooo long lol. Love the vids❤️❤️
Also, I just wanted to add, I absolutely love the new camera and the really up close shots. For a beginner, like me, it's very helpful to actually see clearly what's happening to the foundation, if that makes sense. I've never seen anyone get that close with their camera, and it is so helpful! I wasn't sure what 'pilling' (sp?) looked like, and when you showed it up close, it was really helpful!

I've been loving the lorac porefection foundation lately. it's not full coverage (buildable to a high medium, almost full) but it works very well for my skin tone, lasts amazingly without looking cakey & is perfect for everyday !! I have forehead acne mostly and a lot of texture and bumps everywhere else, as well as rosacea and it covers everything without covering TOO much to where it looks like I'm wearing something. I recommend trying it (not just you but anyone seeing this lol) as maybe a more natural, everyday foundation which is what I've been into since moving to Florida! I've been loving these reviews so far :)) love you xx
niitsitapi princess I've almost bought that one a few times. I love Lorac. You never see anyone using it or reviewing it on here though, so strange. If I didn't have a drawer full of foundations right now I'd buy it.
caseyajb03 It's a great company and foundation. The reason it's not widely talked about on RUclips is because their PR isn't very large. IMO, many content creators have gotten cheap and have started to review PR products rather than spending their money on something. To that detriment, it makes their channel both boring and predictable.
niitsitapi princess I always said if I become a millionaire I would be a beauty RUclips and review everything that isn't PR sent to others! There is so much more amazing makeup out there no one talks about!
I totally agree with you all! that's why I love Taylor, she is honest and open to review anything, even if that means spending her own money! I've never understood beauty RUclipsrs ONLY using PR products or ones they have affiliations with, because they make money off the videos anyway, why not use that money & put it back into their channel?! tati does this, I can always trust her as well :)

Gosh I love this series!! But while you might have rec'd a ton of requests for this foundation, I would never even try it knowing it's recommended for normal to dry skin. And with my oily skin? I know I'd look like all hell in no time flat. You are brave, girl!!!
Can you do a natural light check in right after you finish your makeup, sometimes it is hard to tell texture differences from first to second check-ins...just a thought. Love your videos!

This is the first 15 Days of Foundation I'm watching live, and you've become my favorite RUclipsr so quickly! I think you should review the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation, it's my go-to but I always thought it was weird that I use the shade porcelain but I'd normally be a light/medium in any other foundation. It oxidizes really dark. You're a TRUE porcelain and it'd be waaaay dark on you! Im curious about your thoughts! Love you Taylor!!!💕

I first bought this probably like 4 years ago and I was obsessed with it. It's the only product that evened out my skin tone and worked with my dry skin., I recently tried too faced born this way foundation and have completely forgotten about cover fix.

Yes!!!! Someone actually talking about that Catrice mascara!!! I have been on a hunt for a fab mascara and this has been one of the best....absolutely ZERO flaking and amazing volume, separation and holds a curl!
I went to sephora and tried this foundation on, I felt the same way as you. It was super heavy on my face, took a while to put on, and overrall made me feel and look cake-facey. Reallly wanted to get into it cause I love cover fx. Anyways, thank you so much for fifteen days of foundation, your vids make my nights! I can't wait untill you hit 1 million subscribers!

This has been one of my HG foundations for a long, long time - I have lots of dry patches and on some days, lots of oil. This is amazing - you can touch it up easier than any other foundation I've ever used. It works best with a sponge. Sometimes I heat it a little with my blow dryer which helps it to apply easier.

what do you do when you're in super humid and hot weather? do you still do a full face? im struggling in south america its too hot to wear makeup lol but i still wanna cover my hyper pigmentation 😭
Steffy Rodriguez I'm from Alabama & our summers are mucky. Super humid & hot. Most days if I have stuff to do I'll just spot conceal with Tartes shape tape. I have rosacea too so I've even used concealer as bb cream on days that the redness is flared up. I take shape tape & besides concealing my undereyes, I do about 3 dots on each side of the face, a couple on the forehead & one on the nose, blend it with a brush & set with Rimmel Stay Matte powder. When it's super mucky out I do even less. Concealer just works better for my redness than plain bb cream. My fave drugstore concealers for this are wet n Wilds photo focus & Maybellines master conceal. ☺☺☺ Just make sure the concealer is the same shade as your skin or it can look patchy. ☺☺
Steffy Rodriguez when it's hot and humid I like to use only powder. I find that powder foundations last waaayyyyy longer in hot, humid, sweaty weather and they don't melt off.

This is one of my favorite foundations. I have oily skin, no acne but a broken capillary and some redness. I find it applies best with an Artis style brush. For such high coverage I think it looks very natural on me and lasts all day. I don't have any separation or breaking up. I don't use a primer under it. I find a lot of times primers do me more harm than good. I just use Tidal moisturizer under this one.

Hi Taylor, love your videos! I have been using this particular foundation for years (10 I would say) to cover my birth mark on the face. I do have dry skin so I love the luminous feel it gives. The best way to apply it (for me personally), is to pick up and dab it on the face with finger tip first (which warms up the cream) and then smooth it out with a damped beauty blender. Give it a try and I hope you will like it more.
