I have a tip I just heard tonight you might like to try. Spray your brush or sponge with setting spray then use to apply your concealer. It will help stop creasing. Going to try it tomorrow because it is the one bad problem when I try using concealer so I do not apply it around my eyes, just with dark spots.
I have a face palette by Cover FX - I don't even remember where I got it - but it is my fave formula! It has a blush, a bronzer, two bronzy highlights, and a brightening highlight, and a finishing powder for which I hit pan so long ago! I love it for travel. The blush is a little bright so I'm light-handed with it. Anyway, the foundation looks great on you! and everything held up well. It's always pretty sunny here in CO (except today as I say that!). Temps keep teasing in the low to mid 60s almost reaching 70 last Sat, but we're supposed to get snow Friday... But, yeah, the northern Midwest? Bipolar weather!! Haha! Our daughter's bestie (Our daughter from across the street, as we call her!) lives in Minnesota for school and the drastically fluctuating temps have her asthma on overdrive, poor thing. Hi Laura! When I hear you talk about your watery eye, it reminds me of ME! I suffered terribly with watery eyes…turns out, it is “dry eye”! I educated myself with RUclips, learned about remedies and eye drops. I could not wear makeup because it would literally destroy my makeup due to all the watering.

You talking about the weather, we had two beautiful days in a row and then it got cold and snowy. We didn’t get much snow because of our elevation, being so low. We got a little bit the other day. She may be in menapause like the rest of us, lol. I really enjoy this foundation. If you are really careful, this can be a light foundation or a more full coverage foundation! I really like how versatile it is. The lip glosses are very nice, and I love the shades they sent over. They are on the thick side, but definitely not sticky. Oh, and the eye thing! It's definitely super annoying! It's so frustrating when you spend some time applying a pretty eye look for it to be ruined from tears! Cold Air definitely sets it off and makes it worse! Hello gorgeous!!!!!!! like the foundation but I have found that the thicker they are I have to use a sponge or my fingers..I love my brushes but when it thick they tend too not work well with them...Your eyes are beautiful. and the weather here in middle Tennessee has been crazy too..warm the snow the next day...then severe storms...You have fun on vacation and bring back lots of pictures... love ya.......😘

I'm so glad you're back!! Hopefully you went somewhere nice and warm! You will like this one. It's very customizable. You can apply a light layer for more light coverage or layer it up for more full coverage. It's super creamy and Blendable. The Laura geller baked color correcting foundation, I use as well and apply it over the foundation as a setting powder, and the makeup will last hours!! I would just use a light dusting of the LG for a lighter coverage. I'm so happy to see you again. You've been missed XOXO 😘

new subscriber to your channel ! Had just ordered Cover FX total creme foundation in 2 shades, L2 and F2, as well as their green corrector and dark circle shade for fair/light skin and setting spray. I know NOTHING about these things, but at 60 am on a fast-track, immersion 'course.' 😉... I wonder if after you removed the primer that was caking, did you reapply what was on your brush from under eye concealer, or did you apply sheer coat of the Cover FX where you removed the pilling product at t zone underneath? Also, can you tell me if I use colorescience tinted moisturizer (50spf mineral) in what sequence would I use color correction products or cover fx (which I want to use as SPARINGLY as possible, in 'trouble' areas?) And I assume the setting spray as a last step.. Please don't laugh.🤣and thanks again. You are beautiful even without a drop of any makeup, FWIW.
Welcome to the channel, and thank you so much for subscribing. I am so happy that you're here. After I removed the primer, I just used what was left on my foundation brush to go back over on my t-zone. No question is ever silly! I still have to research a lot on these things myself. As for the order of the products, after you apply your sunscreen, let it sit for about 5 minutes before going in with the rest of your products. Preferably, you could do your eye makeup while your sunscreen really soaks in. Then go in with your color corrector. And let that sit for a couple of minutes. You'll get a more full coverage effect. Then blend it out and then go over everything with your foundation. And yes, setting spray should be your final step. Hope you had an amazing day, and I really hope to see you here again XOXO
You are so welcome!! Oh that is a hard question to answer!! I have many favorites! I will tell you my top favs I use all the time. Maybelline superstar skin tint foundation, covergirl essence foundation, ulta complexion crush foundation, wet n wild tinted moisturizer, tinted moisturizer from Dollar Tree and this one!!
I have this foundation and really enjoy it!! I’m super annoyed they changed their shades though! They used to have way more shades and used to have neutral, pink/red, golden, and olive undertones. They were the brand that most people could find a pretty perfect match. But then they redid the shade range and said they did it to have versatile options for all skin tones and inclusivity has been and still is a priority. But dropping half your shades to me isn’t keeping inclusivity a priority. I know brands don’t need 50+ shades to be inclusive. They can have a nice range with a small number as long as it goes fair to dark without focusing too much on one area (like a bunch of light shades then jumping to like 1 or 2 kinda dark ones). But Cover Fx did such a great job with undertones and variation of depths. But they took away half of them and now they have a shade equivalent chart to find your old shade in the new shades and according to that like 1 new shade is supposed to match 2 or 3 of their old ones. Like the lightest shade in the new range is F1 (fair to light with neutral undertone) and according to their chart it’s equivalent to 3 of the old shades - N0, N10, and P10. Based on the descriptions from the new shades, F1 would match N10, but not really N0 which was fairest with neutral undertone, or P10 which was a PINK undertone not neutral. P10 was perfect for my fair, very cool toned skin. But F1 is too yellow for me. I can make it work if I use a light hand and once the rest of my makeup is on, it works. But if I wanted to get more coverage out of it then it would be really noticeable (and the Total Cover is supposed to be versatile from very light coverage to full coverage depending how you build it up). I can mix it with blue mixer if I scoop some out and mix it first, but that’s annoying. P10 was a perfect match! So it stinks! But it’s still a great foundation for those who can get a match!
It's so annoying when brands do this. Blue would definitely help the situation. You could just put a few dots on the face directly with the blue. It just makes it a little less time-consuming. I really like this foundation as well, but mine leans a little yellow, too. I'm thinking since this brand isn't selling products quickly. They most likely cut back and eliminated a lot of shades because they were probably going bad, and they were having to waste a lot of products. XOXOXO 😘
@@LauraFagelman oh that’s a good idea! Just adding it onto the face! I haven’t tried doing it that way! It makes sense they just had too much product and needed to go to less shades. I recently tried their new concealer and really enjoy it. I got that in shade Light 2, which I thought would be too dark for me but since it was the lightest shade described with a cool tone, I figured I’d try it out. It works really well for me! I wish it was a smidge lighter, but it’s much better than F1 and L1 worked for me! So I’ll have to get shade L2 in the foundations (I have Power Play and Total Cover Cream and really like them both but need better shades!)

I always have to correct because the crease on one eye isn't the same as the other!! Maybe tape would work for that! I'm happy 🎉 about your kids' move to AZ. It's so nice there even in its hottest!! My brother and his family moved to Phoenix about 20 years ago- smart move!!! (none of us can stand Chicago winters!). Anyway, here in Illinois, it is SO nice! I don't even need a coat! It's cloudy but it's 62!!🎉🎉🎉 Ofcourse tomorrow is going to be cold! I'd like to try the foundation, but only if it goes on sale! It is really a good match for your skin tone, and looks beautiful on your skin! I'm 67 so now I prefer med, sometimes full, coverage. And never cakey! 🍰 lol That color corrector is also really nice. Great goal for us to retire to! Do you visit your brother often in Phoenix? The corrector from Sigma, could possibly used as a concealer, I probably could get away with just that, but in person the lighter shade has an obvious pink undertone and the other shade has a peach undertone. Definitely! I believe the primer and the foundation are both water-based, though 🤷♀️ I could be wrong. I honestly haven't had much luck with the wet n wild stick with any of my foundations. I use that City Beauty lip plumper. The key to that lip plumper is regular use. Even if I don’t wear makeup on a particular day, I will apply that.

I'm so glad you're back!! Hopefully you went somewhere nice and warm! You will like this one. It's very customizable. You can apply a light layer for more light coverage or layer it up for more full coverage. It's super creamy and Blendable. The Laura geller baked color correcting foundation, I use as well and apply it over the foundation as a setting powder, and the makeup will last hours!! I would just use a light dusting of the LG for a lighter coverage. I'm so happy to see you again. You've been missed XOXO 😘

new subscriber to your channel ! Had just ordered Cover FX total creme foundation in 2 shades, L2 and F2, as well as their green corrector and dark circle shade for fair/light skin and setting spray. I know NOTHING about these things, but at 60 am on a fast-track, immersion 'course.' 😉... I wonder if after you removed the primer that was caking, did you reapply what was on your brush from under eye concealer, or did you apply sheer coat of the Cover FX where you removed the pilling product at t zone underneath? Also, can you tell me if I use colorescience tinted moisturizer (50spf mineral) in what sequence would I use color correction products or cover fx (which I want to use as SPARINGLY as possible, in 'trouble' areas?) And I assume the setting spray as a last step.. Please don't laugh.🤣and thanks again. You are beautiful even without a drop of any makeup, FWIW.
Welcome to the channel, and thank you so much for subscribing. I am so happy that you're here. After I removed the primer, I just used what was left on my foundation brush to go back over on my t-zone.
No question is ever silly! I still have to research a lot on these things myself. As for the order of the products, after you apply your sunscreen, let it sit for about 5 minutes before going in with the rest of your products. Preferably, you could do your eye makeup while your sunscreen really soaks in. Then go in with your color corrector. And let that sit for a couple of minutes. You'll get a more full coverage effect. Then blend it out and then go over everything with your foundation. And yes, setting spray should be your final step.

I have this foundation and really enjoy it!! I’m super annoyed they changed their shades though! They used to have way more shades and used to have neutral, pink/red, golden, and olive undertones. They were the brand that most people could find a pretty perfect match. But then they redid the shade range and said they did it to have versatile options for all skin tones and inclusivity has been and still is a priority. But dropping half your shades to me isn’t keeping inclusivity a priority. I know brands don’t need 50+ shades to be inclusive. They can have a nice range with a small number as long as it goes fair to dark without focusing too much on one area (like a bunch of light shades then jumping to like 1 or 2 kinda dark ones). But Cover Fx did such a great job with undertones and variation of depths. But they took away half of them and now they have a shade equivalent chart to find your old shade in the new shades and according to that like 1 new shade is supposed to match 2 or 3 of their old ones. Like the lightest shade in the new range is F1 (fair to light with neutral undertone) and according to their chart it’s equivalent to 3 of the old shades - N0, N10, and P10. Based on the descriptions from the new shades, F1 would match N10, but not really N0 which was fairest with neutral undertone, or P10 which was a PINK undertone not neutral. P10 was perfect for my fair, very cool toned skin. But F1 is too yellow for me. I can make it work if I use a light hand and once the rest of my makeup is on, it works. But if I wanted to get more coverage out of it then it would be really noticeable (and the Total Cover is supposed to be versatile from very light coverage to full coverage depending how you build it up). I can mix it with blue mixer if I scoop some out and mix it first, but that’s annoying. P10 was a perfect match! So it stinks! But it’s still a great foundation for those who can get a match!
It's so annoying when brands do this. Blue would definitely help the situation. You could just put a few dots on the face directly with the blue. It just makes it a little less time-consuming. I really like this foundation as well, but mine leans a little yellow, too. I'm thinking since this brand isn't selling products quickly. They most likely cut back and eliminated a lot of shades because they were probably going bad, and they were having to waste a lot of products. XOXOXO 😘
@@LauraFagelman oh that’s a good idea! Just adding it onto the face! I haven’t tried doing it that way! It makes sense they just had too much product and needed to go to less shades. I recently tried their new concealer and really enjoy it. I got that in shade Light 2, which I thought would be too dark for me but since it was the lightest shade described with a cool tone, I figured I’d try it out. It works really well for me! I wish it was a smidge lighter, but it’s much better than F1 and L1 worked for me! So I’ll have to get shade L2 in the foundations (I have Power Play and Total Cover Cream and really like them both but need better shades!)

The corrector from Sigma, could possibly used as a concealer, I probably could get away with just that, but in person the lighter shade has an obvious pink undertone and the other shade has a peach undertone. If it matches the skin perfectly, you definitely could get away with wearing just the corrector. I'm not sure how long it would last on its own, though.

Thank you for writing back to me. You know, you're right about the Midwestern accent. We all possess that tell-tale sound that identifies our Midwestern whereabouts! I have been to my brother's only a few times. It is sad because when my husband died in 2012, I went into deep grief and depression and became agoraphobic. They offered so many times, but I was afraid to leave our home. I am not agoraphobic anymore, thank God, but I've missed so much of living since it lasted eleven years. My daughter died in 2022 and there are no words...it's just my son and me now. Life throws it's curve balls to everyone.

Definitely! I believe the primer and the foundation are both water-based, though 🤷♀️ I could be wrong. I honestly haven't had much luck with the wet n wild stick with any of my foundations. It may just clash with my skin. Thanks so much for this reminder, though. We tend to get super excited about new makeup and dive right in 😉
