COVER FX - NEW Power Play Foundation & Concealer | Review, Comparison, Swatches and Wear Test

- Hello beautiful people,
In this video I'm reviewing the NEW line up by Cover FX, this used to be one of my favourite make-up brands right before they got acquired. Ever since a lot has changed and not everything for the better. I wanted to review their old complexion products, mainly the Power Play Foundation against their re-formulated version and find out if Cover Fx is still as great as they used to be. I also purchased their newest concealer, my beloved blurring primer and a new setting powder, basically a pressed version of their loose perfect setting powder. Of course I will go through all of the details in depth, compare ingredients, show swatches, apply the products and I will be doing a 7 hour wear test with both versions. We will talk about some negative points in this video too, their new shade range, the way they are dealing with customers and why their products are on a massive sale right now.

My skin is wildly reactive and acne prone. The new formula does NOT upset my skin. I use the cream foundation in L2, the concealer and the loose setting powder. No issues whatsoever. I am very happy 🎉
@@kathryncederlind1681 that‘s so great, happy that it works for you. I guess everyone has different skin, mine reacts to the vegetable oil ingredient in the power play foundation. I have not tried out their cream foundation ☺️ have a great day🤗

I am sorry they changed this foundation to something that doesn’t seem better! Great review and it sucks they are removing reviews on the foundation. That sucks and I just don’t want to try this one out. I do appreciate your feedback and thorough review!!♥️♥️♥️

At least the concealer is oil free. I can tolerate some oils, but most are a problem. Edit: I see you didnt like it. Not good. I use like 1/4th of the amount of concealer you use, perhaps youd like it more that way. There may be no saving it, but if you want to try I put a pin-sized amount of concealer under the eyes at a time and blend it with a flexible flat brush. I stand far away from the mirror, to see where the darkest areas are, and mainly address those with little product. The other way to do it is to apply concealer on the back of the hand, work it into the brush, and apply it in a thin layer like that. Just some suggestions. How does it cover scars?
Hey thank you so much for watching and commenting. I use a bit more of the concealer because I have to mix these shades and because I‘m using a sponge, which always absorbs some of the product. However, I did try it with less product and a brush like you suggested. I took my sweet time to review this make-up but unfortunately it did not make a difference for me. The main problem is that the texture is just too dry for my undereyes and the shades are completely off, they should have just matched them to their foundation range in order to avoid confusion as I mentioned in the video. I don‘t have scars so I cannot advise you on that and I cannot apply the concealer on my face because none of the shades will match my foundation so it would look completely off. Take care🤗

Thanks for this video. I will not buy anything from Coverfx if they treat their customers like 💩 and removed the reviews. There are so many great brands these days who needs Coverfx??!
You‘re welcome🤗 thanks for watching! They only left tiktok reviews where people most likely got free products but the comment section for customers is removed. The brand won‘t survive long with this attitude. I absolutely loved their old foundation so I‘ll be missing the cover fx from back in the day.😘 happy weekend
