  • Just arrived back yesterday Afternoon after a 200km ride from Tiruvannamalai, this is a place I ended up by pure chance as it was approx 200km from Bangalore and promised more sedate roads and less roadworks,
From a bike perspective the new Himalayan is amazing, 2020km round trip and average 34km per liter, i generally sat around 80-90kmph for the majority of time but on a couple of occasions I pushed the bike to 125kmph to see how it felt.
Total milage now is 3535km, I was and still is a huge fan of the old 411, considering what I done on it, and this is a worthy successor to the old bike, I did find the bike required alot more gear changes whilst at slow speeds in Goa traffic, and the excessive lean angle on the side stand was cumbersome at times, but irrespective no bike is perfect but as a complete package this bike is hard to beat.
Checking the brake pads the wear is minimal but that's probably down to my style of riding, the Revs rarely exceeded above 5000 rpm.
Alot to process after been away on this bike for 8 days, it's a great long distance tourer.
I am running Givi 36l hard panniers, Lone rider 6l front bags, Double take mirrors,

@@abbo1431 hey mate, tbh I don't connect my phone with the GPS and just do it the old fashioned way, I can't be bothered with the complications of doing it, so I just keep it as I did on my previous Himalayan
