Oh Lord, when you told Mrs O to hold the flashlight, I thought there was a divorce incoming. I know the first few times holding a flashlight for my dad, I thought I would be abandoned on a street 500 miles away. My sons had a healthy flashlight holding fear. But they, like me, realized how just listen and don't drift off mentally, and life is good.
I notice that Mr.O is very good at editing himself with swear words. I thought it was incredibly sweet that he let out a “shit!” When he thought hurt her. Find a girl that looks at you the way she looks at MrO
This childhood flashlight experience must be a DNA kind of thing. Yeah, I got chewed out too...hold the %@#!*%# flashlight still. Pay attention #@$!!! 😶🙄😬
Used to think this was about learn how to fix cars. It’s more about being honest and using your intelligence and being good to your family. Watch those fingers Mrs O ! 😊
That's was hilariously when you pinched Mrs O. Finger. I literally did the same thing to my wife when I had her holding something on our utility trailer last weekend. Except my wife swore at me.... 😂
I was SCREAMING at you to put the seat belt back thru the trim panel....you were not listening to me......too much guilt over the broken clip is all that was on your mind...LOL......GREAT INTRICATE VIDEO....GOOD JOB
I spent a lot of time when I was young watching my father fix things. I learned a multitude of skills..... and curse words. Never underestimate the power of observation.
Gorilla or TRex tape is great for pulling those taillights! Use a long piece, stick it to itself in the middle to make a handle, give it a good pull - taillight pops right out - no pry marks, no damage.
Definitely not a boring video. Somewhere a guy is wrestling the same problem in his garage, tripping over the kids' bikes, but at least he's got your video for a reference and a guide.
I got a old man story for you I worked at a gas station in the 70s and the gas went up to 48 cents and pops came in yelling at me and I’m I only work here I don’t make the prices and in my head I’m thinking I hope I never get that grumpy when I get older!!! Well guess what??? I’m knowing exactly what he was talking about all these centuries later and I’m starting to get grumpy like that about the prices of some things these days too 😂😂😂😂LOL!!!! Keep the amazing content coming, fix the torque clicker in your voice and don’t hurt Mrs Os fingers especially on camera 😂😂😂!!!
This video was impressive to me from a mechanical standpoint because it proves that you sir are a real professional eric. You exhibited more patience than I would have with this kind of job.
This reminded me of the time I (a non-mechanic) replaced the power window motor of a buddies car. The cable wires were almost in knots. What surprised me was all the 'extra' parts that were in the way. MUCH more fun to watch 😂
That is a lot of work that you had to do Eric. Call me crazy, I like seeing how things are done, the right way. As it has been said; "None of your videos are boring." PS: I have asked Mrs. Claus, lol, for a SMA black T-Shirt.
Mr. O you said you are old and fat. Well, I'm 71 and I hate to tell you, but it only gets worse. 35 years of 80lb bags of rock salt up over the side of five F350's because our school district did not have a forklift at the school I worked at. When the tailgate spreader was on the truck you could not open the tailgate. But when you work for a public school district in my state you get a state pension from it. Excellent video. Long time viewer here.
Eric, you need to save your knees and get some decent work trousers that have pockets for kneepads. Here in the UK I go for Snickers brand workwear and use the code 3314 or 3312 trousers with knee pads code 9191. The 3314 trousers have holster pockets which are really useful for keeping small tools like pliers or screwdrivers in. But get some kneepads whatever, your knees will love you when you get to my age. Love the channel.
I saw the rear seatbelt not being threaded through the trim piece. I am not a KIA or Hondu guy. I have missed that more times then I care to admit. Now I don't feel like a BIG DUMMY! BTW Mr. O I am stealing that line "HE CAN'T EVEN FIX A SANDWICH!" I can use it a t work. Great video again.
You know you have good videos when people watching Matt's Off Road and Trail Mater compare you to them or vise versa or they compare them to you. Honest and not condescending. Also no patience to the know it alls
My first thought was, It was a good thing that Eric ordered such a large number of extra clips the last time he did this job. 5 bucks a piece of I recall
I loved the ending of this video, made me chuckle. A couple hinges or like a GM, transmissions, engine problems, pick the better of the two. I have no problem supporting an import manufacturer if it's reliable and reasonably priced. I love Kia's reliability and quality as well as their styling. It works for me.
"It is not a bad job to do once you get all the trim off." That's what I said after just cleaning my outdoor AC unit. The hardest part was getting all the panels back on.
Just came across your channel a few weeks ago watched many of your videos,it is good to see an honest mechanic plying his trade all the best for you and you're family from Edinburgh, scotland
As a son of a carpenter, I was always amazed that the smaller the piece of wood (as in moulding, base shoe, trim, etc) the more nails it required. To this day, I still don't understand why!
Just to make Eric happy, on the next model refresh they'll change the design to get rid of the clips. Instead you have to tear apart the entire interior to get to the 24 screws from the inside. Edit: Oh geez, you have to do that anyway!
I hope Mrs. O's workman's comp claim goes well. And comes back refreshed after a couple of weeks off for short term disability. Thanks as always for the video.
One screw to hold them all. I did an evaporator in an Altima last year. 50,000 screws, but they were almost all exactly the same. Poor dude saw his car stripped to the firewall and liked to had a stroke. XD
There is no way a human can look at these kinds of parts and figure out where and how things must go. 🤔 This vehicle could simply not have been made 40 years ago. 😳 It is only with sophisticated CAD programs that these "designs" can be created. 🤓But I am also amased at how well Mr. O can figure out how to take things apart and fix them! 🙄He is not getting paid enough!!👏 Of course, he did need Mrs. O to observe and advise. He's smarter than the average genius!🤣 1:03 video. 3.5 minutes to replace the part. 59.5 minutes to remove and replace panels!!!
" Algorithm comment." Man I thought I saw a mistake had to back up and see that you did plug in the switches on the back end of the big panel. " I " was wrong you were fast at it. Keep up the good work
Eric's little comments that never get old and ALWAYS give me a grin... "Enhance, enhance...", "Bofa? Yeah, bofa Deez nuts!!!", "Meow over here..." ( Thank goodness for Super Troopers and super stoked that Eric is a fan! 😂). "Mother lover!!!", "No paper, gonna have to go rogue...". And there's a bunch more... Thank you Eric for carrying on. I appreciate that you keep making videos. ,👍👍🇺🇲
I do not follow Kia's idea with using 30 clips to hold a trim on the outside. They could have just put two bolts and a "track" for the trim to slide on. Nice and simple. It's crazy to think some machine stamped out that ENORMOUS piece of plastic for the inside rear quarter. Wow. As usual, the workmanship, honesty and transparency are top notch. Nice work as usual Eric! Mrs. O has fast reflexes lol
As a Kia tech, on the outside panel if you grab the bottom and give it a good pull outwards they'll pop off. I've done hundreds of these repairs with no damage to panel, even with extreme cold in midwest! There is a warranty extension in the sliding door motors. Doesn't apply to every Sedona. I did laugh once you put the rear seat belt in without the panel, caught that instantly and got a good chuckle. Atleast you didn't try to hide it haha, sadly I've done it and I see these repairs maybe 2 times a month .
You got à few chuckles out of me, thanks, I thought I had a "retained gas" problem ! I wasnt going to watch the entire video , glad I did. regards, eec3 daniel...❤
Nice work Mr O. It's half three in the morning here in the UK. and ive really enjoyed watching this, its really helped take my mind off the bad toothache Ive got. Only another five hours to go before the dentist opens up his doors for the day. In the grand scheme of things, that rear quarter combo is a really neat piece of design the way they have intergrated it alltogether. The dealer-strips must be rubbing their hands together when they see this sort of "money making kit" fitted on new model cars.
these videos might be boring to you Eric but for someone that has to work on their own door at home it's a godsend. You screw up and then say the way it should be done. To quote the Chickanic you save the DIY-er time and frustration. The sun was not a bother it looked great.
Well I'm waiting for you to design your own tools, 👍 I love your channel I've been watching it with my other profile I keep looking for young guys in there are a few out here and have it together that are what I say from the old school willing to go the extra mile to find out what the problem is have self-pride in the process save the customer some money and make a little money I truly believe that's what it's all about watching you work shows me true professionalism at its finest🤔👍
Mrs. O should get Hazardous Duty Pay when she has to help you! Also Why don't they make every engineer work on the crap that they design????? Thanks for the great videos!
Good job Mr. O. Nice to see Mrs. O. I've had the 2005 Ford Expedition rear plastic cover removed for repairs and upfitting, but I'm glad there weren't any motors and cables for automatic door openings.
My wife has same KIA. I’m a bit handy so was able to order the parts and fixit. However, I’d never buy a Hyundai/Kia product ever again. Appreciate your vids, cheers from 🇨🇦
Hey! No one noticed but I think Vanessa is right about the color of the snaps on her van. I seem to recall a debate about the color too. Don’t make me go back and check the video now Eric. Your line is “I think you’re right Mrs O”!
I love the learning experience, but the entertainment value you & Mrs O bring is Priceless! My first real job was holding the light for my father!😂
Ri-cola!! Not a sponsor! I’m so glad I am not the only middle age juvenile delinquent here! Thank you for the info, and the laughs!!
When I first saw the title come across the notification I thought it was for Mrs. O’s van again
Me too.
me too
me three
Me ate
It would need to be another six months.😅
Oh Lord, when you told Mrs O to hold the flashlight, I thought there was a divorce incoming. I know the first few times holding a flashlight for my dad, I thought I would be abandoned on a street 500 miles away. My sons had a healthy flashlight holding fear. But they, like me, realized how just listen and don't drift off mentally, and life is good.
Can't offend anyone that used to hold a light for their dad lol.
I notice that Mr.O is very good at editing himself with swear words. I thought it was incredibly sweet that he let out a “shit!” When he thought hurt her. Find a girl that looks at you the way she looks at MrO
Take care of her, Mr.O. she is half of you. You're not complete without her.
This childhood flashlight experience must be a DNA kind of thing. Yeah, I got chewed out too...hold the %@#!*%# flashlight still. Pay attention #@$!!!
😶🙄😬
HOLD IT WHERE I WANT YOU TO, NOT WHERE I TELL YOU!
None of your videos are boring. I could watch you work all day. Your commentary is a must, though. I have learned a lot watching your videos.
Never boring Eric O. You make them entertaining, no matter what it is. Keep up the great work.
I'm still learning at the age of 72. Thanks, Mr O!!!! Much appreciated. Never change who you are. You're a good man. 👍👍😊😊
Mrs. O has a good sense of humor. 😂😂 Well it doesn't fall off. Lol
Used to think this was about learn how to fix cars. It’s more about being honest and using your intelligence and being good to your family. Watch those fingers Mrs O ! 😊
Eric LOVES working on sliding door soccermobiles😅 no chance I'm missing this😂
That's was hilariously when you pinched Mrs O. Finger. I literally did the same thing to my wife when I had her holding something on our utility trailer last weekend. Except my wife swore at me.... 😂
Quality entertainment with Eric O. at South Main Auto... Ricola commercial included!
I was SCREAMING at you to put the seat belt back thru the trim panel....you were not listening to me......too much guilt over the broken clip is all that was on your mind...LOL......GREAT INTRICATE VIDEO....GOOD JOB
Thanks Eric for the videos 🙂, I speak for us all when I say we love them and keep them coming.
Such a fan boy 😂
@@MarcusSandoval-kx2th WHAT!? stop being stupid
I like that Mrs O is useful. My wife is the same, she helps with lots of jobs on our property.
I spent a lot of time when I was young watching my father fix things. I learned a multitude of skills..... and curse words. Never underestimate the power of observation.
I really enjoy watching you fix things but your sense of humor is really the kicker that makes me come back over and over. Have a great day!

Thanks for taking time today to say hi, for the shirt and the photo op.
Any time!
I thought that was Mrs O's van again. I expected "Welcome back to working on this piece of steel again."
I don't think you have any boring videos that I've seen. Thanks for the show
I got a old man story for you I worked at a gas station in the 70s and the gas went up to 48 cents and pops came in yelling at me and I’m I only work here I don’t make the prices and in my head I’m thinking I hope I never get that grumpy when I get older!!! Hi Mrs. O. and you also Eric, you do not make boring videos, someone always learns something an they are a hoot!
It’s about time for a video where Wilberts saves the day, it’s been awhile since
This video was impressive to me from a mechanical standpoint because it proves that you sir are a real professional eric. You exhibited more patience than I would have with this kind of job.
Many thanks for an excellent promotional video highlighting the virtues of any vehicle without power sliding doors!
its like Eric O knows my work schedule, i get home and bam new episode. can now chill and watch, thanks my man
Your videos are never boring, just interesting to watch with a cup of tea or coffee. Cheers!
🍺 beer
Coffee here
Courting the ladies. Priceless!
Genuine Kia; two of the most comforting words on earth
This reminded me of the time I (a non-mechanic) replaced the power window motor of a buddies car. The cable wires were almost in knots. What surprised me was all the 'extra' parts that were in the way. MUCH more fun to watch 😂
I missed your, "Come to poppa!" after the final clip on the large trim panel! Loved your "Riiii-cola!"
Wow - pretty complicated job to replace the motor on the sliding door! Very good and thanks!
Mrs O is a great person to help you out when needed. She a Keeper !!!!
On top of that she's a great cook according to Mr. O.
That is a lot of work that you had to do Eric. Call me crazy, I like seeing how things are done, the right way. As it has been said; "None of your videos are boring." PS: I have asked Mrs. Claus, lol, for a SMA black T-Shirt.

I hope the owners of this vehicle see this video and understand the work involved for this repair. My 2cents.
Not that we don’t like seeing you, Eric……but it’s always nice when Mrs O makes an appearance!🤘🏻

Yea, all those clips are a pain.
Always a joy to watch. The struggle is real.
"The second time we make two stroke sounds..." I almost spit my coffee out. Classic.
RICOLAAAA! Another awesome video from SMA! Thanks!
The sunlight is like someone putting a spotlight on your work.
My first thought was, It was a good thing that Eric ordered such a large number of extra clips the last time he did this job. 5 bucks a piece of I recall
You’re exactly right,1 out of 457.2 plastic clips ain’t gon hurt nobody
Always easier the second, or... fifth time. Thanks Eric!
I loved the ending of this video, made me chuckle. A couple hinges or like a GM, transmissions, engine problems, pick the better of the two. Grease on that track would make a sweet grinding paste 🫣🤯
Great video Mr O and a guest appearance of the lovely Mrs O ❤
Just came across your channel a few weeks ago watched many of your videos,it is good to see an honest mechanic plying his trade all the best for you and you're family from Edinburgh, scotland
That job looks like a pain in the posterior 💯
Done quite a few of these working Kia in New Zealand fun job
As a son of a carpenter, I was always amazed that the smaller the piece of wood (as in moulding, base shoe, trim, etc) the more nails it required. To this day, I still don't understand why!

The good thing about working on those Kia doors is you get to take your frustations out when you break all those clips. Must be so satisfying. ☺
We need to get this guy a head cam
The looks he would get, from the people from whom he does not yet get looks...!
two roll up windows on my 2006 Grand Caravan have had 3 power units replaced great fun.
Can't have a video without Mrs O back on the tools 😂
Thanks for the video Eric and the lovely Mrs. O.
Imagine being a new hire at Eric's shop and hearing him talking to himself while yodeling REEE-COLA not knowing he's taping a video. LOL
😂😂😂😂😂
Great videos. Your comments are what makes this worth watching you and. Vannessa. Upside is cameras dont. Talk back
Mrs "O" did awesome holding the panel steady and fantastic job holding flash light exactly were you needed it !
One screw to hold them all. I did an evaporator in an Altima last year. 50,000 screws, but they were almost all exactly the same. Poor dude saw his car stripped to the firewall and liked to had a stroke. XD
You don't want to watch your own shoulder or knee replacement or see you vehicle with the dash out.
I'm currently working on a VW Phaeton. It has a water cooled alternator, who does that. Thanks for making my decompress time peaceful.
" Algorithm comment."
Man I thought I saw a mistake had to back up and see that you did plug in the switches on the back end of the big panel.
" I " was wrong you were fast at it.
Keep up the good work
Eric's little comments that never get old and ALWAYS give me a grin... "Enhance, enhance...", "Bofa? Yeah, bofa Deez nuts!!!", "Meow over here..." Another long one and great one. Keep them coming. Yeah, it got a little boring but so what. Those of us that are learning cherish this “experience”.
When you did the "Ricola" thing... I laughed so hard! Caught me completely off-guard!
I really enjoyed this video a lot of it you were in the distance and you definitely look better in the distance, lol. Love your videos Eric
What a job! Guaranteed never to rip, tear, stretch, wear or blister! ;)
Love the seatbelt incident!! I have done that more than I’d like to admit!!
The old, "just making sure you were paying attention." Is always good for a laugh in my book.
Mrs O didn't mind Helping when it was Her Van Fellers!😂
Have a Great Weekend Eric.👍🏻
Great video Mr O, despite the sunlight. Enjoy it while we can 😁

oil of Clove works wonders on an aching tooth! It's temporary, but lasts long enough to get to the dentist!

That sure is a pretty little flashlight holder you have there❤😊
Eric, you are definitely the man for this job.
I always hated doing this kind of work.
Keep doing your thing!
Hi Mrs.O!

Great video! You probably couldn’t fix the problem without Mrs.O
Eric's excellent adventure! thanks for the journey :)
39:43, We can see just fine. Keep going.
Good Job.......... Eric............
Blessings to you and yours.
Dude, you're funny. Better than ... well I can't think of anyone, THAT good! Keep at it, you're definitely improving the tubes.
My wife has same KIA. I’m a bit handy so was able to order the parts and fixit. However, I’d never buy a Hyundai/Kia product ever again. Appreciate your vids, cheers from 🇨🇦
They are junk
Just here to "do a comment" lol. Love the longer videos. Cant wait for the next one.
Great video! I work at Kia and have done a few of these, not a bad job to do once you've done a few of them
Hey! No one noticed but I think Vanessa is right about the color of the snaps on her van. I seem to recall a debate about the color too. Don’t make me go back and check the video now Eric. Your line is “I think you’re right Mrs O”!
Another gem Eric. Keep them coming.
