I was standing behind the camera watching them film that introduction! It was an amazing night and so much was cut out of the recorded version. They are missing at least 3 sketches/songs.
I remember watching this when it first cane out. I would have been 18. I remember being in love and awe of such a magnificent collaboration and blending if minds. Still makes me sad that this diddnt become a regular prom.
I agree. It *is* very clever! 👏 However, I have always held their *Swansong* in high regard. A great performance here. It's a slight bit melancholy but it's so well crafted. Take Care! 👍

I always thought that may have been the case, so sad
Damn shame!!!
Tim Minchin's a legend.
40:10 is very very under appreciated, it's got merit as a song in its own right not just on a comedy show
this is a copy of flanders and swann, they did something similar about 50 years earlier
I’ve always had faith in you.. thank you:) you triumph!!

Man the cameraman misses every other joke. -_-
That cracked me up so much when Basil brush showed up!
ReplaceTim Minchin with Bill Bailey and it would be funnier. Minchin is a derivative chancer
And he's a bloody immigrant ! Is nothing sacred anymore ?
What utter nonsense. They're both equally talented in very different genres.
You do know what derivative means don't you? I would describe him as innovative.
@@lostvarius the irony ... he was born in britain.
@@glenod i think he's great
