Yall, please listen to what she's saying. I was in denial for TWO YEARS and ended up having to cut off about 4-5 inches. It was bittersweet because I was crying inside for losing length, but my hair became super healthy! 😊 So now, I'm more attentive after learning my lesson lol
I love your channel because I have many different hair textures. Your hair reminds me of mine. And I used to hate my hair as a little girl because I was made fun of for having such thick, full hair. Now I embrace it and love my hair! In fact, people whose hair has thinned and used to make fun of me seem jealous 😆 And people like you inspire me to try different things. 🙏🏼 thanks ! Keep on showing what you do!
Me toooo I used to be so frustrated that I couldn't just brush my hair dry with a bristle brush like all my friends did without having an explosion on my head, but then come high school and they were always using curlers and heat on their hair because suddenly curls were pretty now 🤔
Okay, honestly, you are SOO gorgeous and I LOVE the way you talk. Like, I've never been so serious about a compliment in my life. You're absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for all the tips, I've been going through your videos and your advice has helped me so much. No longer will my mane be neglected. Thank you!
Also on a side note,if you're iron deficient a lot it could cause a different appearance in your hair. Even my eyebrows were affected( spots of balding). I started getting the iron/ cut my hair. WOW so much better
I love that you keep it real about "your own hair" and what works for your hair. Also that you keep it minimal, so important to not be a junky. So wasteful!. I love what your talks are centered around. You mentioned you had a nutrient deficiency, and I'm wondering what supplements helped you to manage that. Also, do you intend to do any "what I eat in a day"? I'd love to see your For Real meals. Thanks, Tiffany
Tiffany Stephens Hi Tiffany! first of all, thank you. And I took some vitamins to better my intestinal flora but that was a year ago and I can't remember the name en what exactly I took. And the meal plan sounds a great idea!
I just trimmed my own ends recently. I am horrible at keeping up with my ends and the end result I lost several inches of hair growth. I need to find a professional in Dallas TX that’s not scissor happy and knows how to cut natural hair. I love watching your hair videos. Your hair is so beautiful and I love your personality. :)
Very good info Amber. I also need a good trim. Seems like in the fall every year I get a good hair cut and my hair flourishes afterwards. I was also looking at your previous video about caster oil. I have been mixing it in ( Jamaican Black) with the deep conditioner also. My hair stays moisturized and shiny for so long. It does not matter if I wear it natural or straightened works both ways but my hair is similar to yours...it likes heavier oils and conditioners. Looking forward to the next video. Be blessed!
I know this is late but thank you soo soo soo much for this video. I've been contemplating trimming my hair because I want it to grow out, but as you said, I've noticed a lot of hair falling down when I try to style it (breakage). I'm going to talk to my uncle so he can cut it for me this week 😊
Thank you! My foundation is the Urban Decay Naked Skin in shade 7.0 and concealer also from Urban Decay In shade medium neutral. Blush is from Bourjois in shade Terracotta :)
your hair looks very pretty both curly and straight😍also i have been natural for generally all my life but i feel like my hair isn't growing however your tips in why your hair isn't growing video and ur 7 simple tips video seem very helpful. I'm going to try implementing them and stay natural. I was ready to texturize my hair!
My hair is currently showing all signs of what you said, and I hope to get a trim really soon. I have needed one since August or September or even before that. I think that I'm going to need an inch cut off in order for my hair to retain healthy length retention again.
Does heat damaged hair need to be all cut off or will it keep breaking? Also i was told to trim hair only every three months even if you just trimmed and see some more split ends. I guess its because people sometimes overtrim?
Selena Lamothe every 3 months is a lot. You won't be able to retain lenght if you cut your hair every 3 months because it's not necessary. However you should get rid of heat damaged hair because it's already badly damaged and there's no point to keep it
Amber Ansah What do you mean every 3 months is a lot? Should i be cutting my hair less than that? Also, i really am not sure if my hair is heat damaged or not, I'm not getting good definitions of it. But it keeps breaking a lot and i have SO many split ends, and the back of my hair hardly holds curls. I haven't really inspected my hair since recently so i'm not sure if its always been like that.
Sooo... i have a biiig question... im caucasion right and i used to have super thick healthy hair now its thin and fragile i wont even cooperate for a ponytail so in a result i use access conditioner and wear it down almost everyday🙃😭
Thank you for the feedback. I'm always leery when my hairdresser suggests straightening my hair to trim and always wondered whether you can trim without applying heat.

I need to cut my hair. I already knew it for like a month but, now I really need to do it. This weekend!

How often do you trim? And do you always go to the salon or do you ever trim yourself? And if you do, how do you go about doing it?
HairByPierre she has a good video showing how she trims using twists with conditioner. It’s really simple.
Your skin is gorgeous! What do you apply on your face?
Thank you! My foundation is the Urban Decay Naked Skin in shade 7.0 and concealer also from Urban Decay In shade medium neutral. Blush is from Bourjois in shade Terracotta :)

my mom won't let me trim even tho I'm 15! it's so annoying. . .!
Do you ever deal with breakage?
Nevermind, I asked too soon in the video got my answer👍
Does hair need to be wet or straightened to get an accurate trim?
Jay Smith I prefer my hair straightened while getting a trim so I can see the visible damaged and crunchy ends
Thank you for the feedback. I'm always leery when my hairdresser suggests straightening my hair to trim and always wondered whether you can trim without applying heat.
