Hmmm this is a tough one. I personally rec not to! It’s hard at first but eventually you will know exactly when the beat will drop and exactly what choreo seems right for the song! Practice and listen to your playlist in your car or before going to bed so you don’t need notes 🥰

I’m about to get my spin instructor certification this week. This is something I have always wanted to do for over 10 years since I started spinning. I have a friend that is a trainer at a local gym and she told the owner and they want to hire me as soon as I get my certification. My only thing that is making me hesitant about it is that I’m overweight. I have PCOS which makes it harder for me to lose weight and it has been an ongoing battle for years which I will eventually have weight loss surgery in may. My friends know how I’m all about eating healthy and working out making a lifestyle change. I just worry that the owners and even the students may not take me serious bc I’m overweight. What are your thoughts on that? Your video has been very helpful and will be useful when I do get to teach one day.
Hi Tiana! I want to let you know that fitness and fitness instructing IS for EVERYONE! No matter what size, shape, height, personality, etc! You just have to find your place and where you belong. People come to my class over another instructor because they can relate to how I teach or what I say! I've been through a divorce so I am able to relate to people have been through a heart break in ways most people can't! People will relate to your fitness journey in ways that they won't relate to mine and that is the amazing thing about teaching fitness! People who struggle with PCOS will relate with you in ways they never could with me! Keep training, practice and keep teaching! There is a place in the fitness world for you if you truly want it! And if it doesn't work out at one studio, that is okay! Go to another one and try there until it does work!

How can I overcome my anxiety when teaching a lesson as I’ve not worked for a while due to mental health reasons
Thank you for this video! I do peloton between 2-5 times a week and lately I've been thinking of a career change. I am used to leadership roles and also wanted to be a teacher. cycling has really changed my life and i try to get friends and others involved. I thought about maybe becoming a spin class instructor.
However I am a bit chubby though I'm losing weight weekly and looking to reach my overall goal next year. Does having extra pounds matter if you have the other skills? I ask because I've never seen a chubby instructor and that makes me not want to pursue it sooner than later.
Could you do a video on your boot camp experience through cyclebar??

I'm auditioning next week, before auditioning should you begin practicing riding on your left instead of right?
It depends on the studio you are auditioning with! When I auditioned I wasn't able to ride on my left yet! But you will have to ask the studio what they expect! Best of luck! Let me know how it goes after! :) Can't wait to hear about it. You can even DM me on Insta if it's easier! @happilykenna
@@Mckennahashcroft ahh thank you! I'm auditioning for cyclebar :) the instructor I was speaking too about the audition said they basically just wanna see that you can be on beat and that everything else "can be taught". I'll def let you know how it goes, been loving your tiktoks for inspiration!
