    Really grateful you keep harping on TEMPS & cooking order! It has made me really pay more attention to those, but it was kind of a natural carry-over from grill experience. We still haven't bought a laser thermo for our griddle, but we have a built in thermo on our 4-burner Expert Grill. I watch that like a hawk & make mental notes RE: temps for thin vs thick steaks, pub & stuffed burgers, pork loin, chicken breast, etc. and I usually only run 2 burners med-high.

    Morning Johnny,
    You make me want to griddle something! Can you make it stop raining and being 58 degrees and windy out? No? Oh well it was worth asking. lol
    I think my big issue is going to be rust and spiders in the tubes. It's a lot to get the griddle inside so I have left it out with a cover on it. Of course it rained ever since. I'm afraid of what I will see when I open it. I bought a stone to clean it with to be ready, and everyone should have one I suppose.

    Can one add TOO much butter or oil to the hash browns? I had some at a diner yesterday while traveling and they were "soggy" in the middle and semi crisp on the outside. Is there a fix for that? Thanks for your wonderful channel!

    • @JohnnyBrunet
      @JohnnyBrunet  3 месяца назад

      That's a good questiosn Clint. I suppose you can add too much but I would also guess that there flat top was maybe too hot? So the outside cooked and crisped up before the inside was able to cook.

      Try turning all the burners off and letting it cool down to 325 or less. If that takes too long and or your griddle is dirty, then you can squirt down some water and wipe or scrape it off. That should lower the temp and clean the griddle getting it ready for your eggs.
