family got me a blackstone last summer for our camp and i cook pretty much every meal on it when we are there. last fall a local store had the 22" two burner for 99 bucks and i snagged that for home. only problem is now i want the big daddy. when they go on sale this fall i will snag one. these things are the greatest cooking tool to come out in a long time. i ran a flattop 40+ years ago at a local place and forgot how fun and satisfying it is.
thats a great price on the 2 burner. And yes once you get a 2 burner you immediatly want a bigger one lol. I had the same experience I cooked on one at my first job out of college and when I bought mine 3 years ago I forgot how much fun they were. I hope you see a good deal this fall and grab yourself a 4 burner.
Just found you about a week ago. Just bought a flap top 3 weeks ago. So glad I found you. You are down to earth, practical and so hilarious. And what a great suggestion in one of your videos to use an infrared thermometer instead of going by high, medium and low. Thank you for the content.
Hi Donald, congratulations on the new griddle! I'm so glad you like the videos and I really appreciate you watching. Yes the thermometer is a game changer, it's so helpful especially once you first start. Thanks again for watching and have a good day.
Thanks brother. I don't drink it as much as I used to, I do a lot of local stuff here in Columbus. But like most people it was one of the first beers to get me into IPAs, so it always has a special spot in my fridge because of that.
Australia!!! That's awesome I think you are the furthest away I've ever had anyone say. That's just crazy to me that these videos are watched by someone halfway around the world from me. Well thanks so much for subscribing I really appreciate it brother.
Crazy! I was thinking while watching this, he seems like an Ohio guy then you said it! Videos are great just got my first griddle! Ready to start cooking 😎
Brother, I've been binge watching your videos. Love the beer and griddle, comfort food and dad joke type of humor. Thanks! I'm inspired to start my grilling journey. Keep up the good work
Thanks so much for watching Onyx and I'm glad you like the videos. Good luck on your grilling journey I'm sure you'll do great. Let me know if you have any questions. I appreciate you commenting.
Awesome video. Have had a blackstone for a couple of years for camping, but just not getting the time to take cooking on it seriously (or at least a little better). This video is excellent for me and I plan on trying your smash burgers when the family joins us on a camping trip this weekend. Thank you!!!
Johnny, I’ve been watching other griddle videos. I’m sorry. Headed out for three consecutive weekends of camping. Taking my griddle. Can’t wait to try your recipe book. Hey...it’s worth the $10.
hahaha no problem Don I know most of the other guys making griddle videos and they are awesome too. They have so many good recipes and tips I watch all their videos as well. Three weekends of camping that's awesome!! Thanks again for buying the book and I hope the recipes come in handy on the camping trips.
I wasn't even going to try and guess the top 10. But with that being said once the first 5 were done I nailed it on the top 3. I haven't decided yet which route I am going. It's either a griddle top like yours or going to do what my son is doing. As "The Cajun Ninja" he just did a local television commercial for an appliance seller. They gave him a brand new stove so he is putting is old stove on the outside patio. He has a natural gas outlet line on his patio as do I. He checked into these griddles that fit across the whole stove so I kind of wanted to see how that works out for him first. My top 3 were a big breakfast, smash burgers, and fried rice which I might add you nailed it on the fried rice. Great Job!
Love it! Going to get a griddle ASAP! My brother is a smoker guy, and does beautiful food, but for me and wifey I think a griddle is the answer. Thanks for the tips and videos!
Glad you liked it, thanks so much for watching. Ya I just got a big green egg and have been starting to smoke more. It's a lot of fun but I still like the griddle the best. I hope you get your griddle soon, thanks for watching.
@Johnny Brunet Seems I do a lot of the supper dishes as my wife is a Director of operations at a hospital, and never know when we’ll have supper? I find it takes too long for smoked, or at least, it’s hard to time things correctly. The grill is a bit more “ instant”, in our case. I can make better food, in a shorter time!
@@kendallsherryleech7035 ya that's so true. I'm also finding that smoking meats is for people with a lot of free time on their hands. My wife and I both work full time and have a 2 year old so it's hard to schedule an 8 hour pulled pork.
Thanks Johnny for the Awesome videos!! You & your videos made me want to buy a griddle & on Father's day I bought one. Made breakfast food on it like 4 times already & Soo many other things. Smash burgers is my next one I'm gunna try. Thanks again & can't wait to see new vids.
Hey Tim thanks so much for commenting and sharing. Wow I can't belive you bought a griddle because of my videos that's awesome. I'm so glad you are enjoying it and it sounds like a great fathers day gift. I hope it's creating good memories for you and your family because thats why i love mine so much. Just remember toast your buns first because those burgers cook fast and you need somewhere to put them.
Just found you, since we're now looking for a griddle. Most people say they use they're griddle more then their grill. I think we will. We love your down to earth honesty on what you like and what you don't, what you need and what you don't. We were agreeing with you all along the way. Recipes look great. Thanks so much for the enjoyable, informational video. Your baby is adorable.
Hey thanks so much for watching and I hope you get a griddle soon. I definitely use mine more than the grill due to its versatility. I'm glad you like the videos and hopefully they are helpful once you get your griddle. Thanks for the compliment on my son, he takes after his mother. 😉
Love your humor and love your videos. You cover a lot of ground in each one and at the same time are entertaining. Love the fact that you use so many ungions in your cooks. For me, as a home grown tomato grower (in Cincy) I would put your BLTE at the top of the list. The addition of the egg is genius!
Thanks Bryan Im glad you like them. That's cool you grow your own tomatoes I bet your BLTs are awesome. One day when we get a larger house I would also like to grow my own tomatoes. Thanks for watching!

Wrights thick cut bacon, diced frozen potatos with onion, peppers and tomatoes, sprinkle on some salt and pepper with a bit of Emeril's Southwest seasoning... Drop the eggs on top of the potatoes when plating and crumble the bacon... Who needs a Dennys skillet!
That sounds amazing!!!!!!! And way better then Denny's for sure. I'm going to have to try that. I love making skillets, or scrambled or whatever you want to call them. A big ol mess of breakfast.
I like all your selections. Patty melt needs to be number two and I would add chicken fajitas to the list. We eat them right off the griddle with homemade tortillas. ( store bought works ass well) Cheers 🍻
I do love the patty melt as well and I don't know wy. As for fajitas they were number 11 the first ones to miss the cut. It was so hard leaving them off because I agree they are good and easy. we also make them all the time. Cheers patrick. 🍻 and thanks for watching.
Great channel!! Have had a Blackstone for a little while now, but didn’t do as much research as I should have! These videos are informative, amusing, and delicious!
There is no doubt that the griddle is a breakfast making machine. Sometimes I'm out on the back porch at 3 in the morning griddling up some corned beef hash and a couple of over-easy eggs to have before I leave for work.
😎👍 Outstanding list Johnny! Love it. Given me a checklist of grillin’ to-dos. ✅ And, yeh, I’m adding beans to my morning routine now. 😂👍 Keep up the great work buddy!
Love the video and the number one choice. Also, I reached out to the CEO of benniehana rest easy Johnny. That manager that didn’t or couldn’t recognize the talent standing before him has been sent out for remedial training. The big boss said Johnny can stand in heaven forbid one of their guys go down.
Hahaha thanks Dan I appreciate you having my back. I don't usually like to drop the "do you know who I am card" mainly because no one knows who I am 😂😀😄. But I'm glad you got the situation straightened out for me. I was just trying to offer my services if needed ya know, being a good patron. I appreciate you watching man.
Hello Jonny I sure enjoy your sense of humor in your videos and congratulations on your channel’s growth. It looks like this is the year I purchased my griddle as Walmart has an exclusive 28 “ XL pro griddle with a side burner and three heating zones. I also appreciate your attention to teach temperatures rather than just low, high and medium keep it up. Happy New Year -Bill
Hey Bill long time no talk. Thanks so much I can't believe how the channel has grown. That's awesome you're going to get a griddle! I remember you talking about it last summer. Happy New Year's buddy, let me know once you get that griddle.
Hello! I'm new to my Blackstone grill. I love your videos and your sense of humor. I was wondering where you got your small cooling rack? I have only found large ones.
Howdy Johnny, man I got the notification for this video right in the middle of grillin' up Supper for the family. Have to agree number one item to fix on the griddle is Breakfast. Kinda becoming a weekend family tradition since the purchase of the Blackstone. One of my breakfast favorites is pancakes. We had Sunday Supersized Blueberry Pancakes yesterday. Another family favorite is grillin' corn on the cob in the husks. 36" Blackstone holds two dozen ears with room to spare. What ever is left over gets cut off the cob and turned into Bacon Fried Corn. Here's the nice thing about that....Wife found another Golden Ticket in her corn or was it juz some stowaway corn silk? BeardHair We Don't Care! Have A Day! ;~)
Hey brother man that sounds like so e great family traditions being created on the griddle I love it! My son and I are big fans of blueberry pancakes so we'll have to try the super sized ones like you. I'd blame it on the corn silk, the beard can do no wrong! Have a good one man.
+1 for the Irish breakfast Johnny, from one of your Irish fans. Suspected you had some Irish in you btw, your liberal use of self lubrication was a dead giveaway 🍻
Funny, I made patty melts and green beans onthe the griddle last night( highly recommend green beans on the griddle), the this morning big breakfast for the wife, her friend and me. They make life so much easier and less dishes.
That's too funny Dale. I've never done green beans I will have to give them a try. Did you do fresh and how did you prepare them. Just throw them straight on the griddle like asparagus?
wow it looks delicious, yummy, loved watching it till the end, it shows your hard work, keep sharing such lovely dishes, ur friend here, Hope to see you around friend BIG LIKE. #WorldOfPanchPhoron
#7 is probably #1 for me but I do a frozen very crisped up hash brown on the croissant sandwich as well. Sooo good. Also, for your rice. If you make a homemade garlic butter I guarantee your rice will be next level amazing. Maybe you already do this but my family and friends absolutely go nuts for it. We put it on our steaks as well. And to that BeniHanna manager or whatever. He has no idea your the wild thing. His loss. 😆
About that garlic butter I was talking about. If you haven’t done this already and there may be a good chance you do…follow this recipe and it will change your life. I promise ruclips.net/video/yGiZUhplx68/видео.html
So Johnny, it’s Benihana’s loss! 😆 So my question is about Whirl buttery oil, does it work well for eggs and hash browns? I love the butter flavor on both, but can’t deal with burnt butter at all. Thx Bro, have an IPA on me.
🤣🤣🤣 ya it works well in both of those things. It's worth giving a try once. It has a buttery diner flavor but definitely not as good as real butter. Is say definitely try it. If that doesn't work then look into making it buying clarified butter. It has a higher smoke point than regular butter. Thanks for watching.
@@JohnnyBrunet thx Buddy! We have a local diner on the Oregon coast that uses Whirl by the squeeze bottle full and their food is great so, I’m all in! Great videos, keep them coming! Thx for the quick response.
Good question, so these two are hard to compare because one is a four burner and one is a 2 burner. I bought the Camp Chef first and I love it, I would also reccomend it to anyone who wants a 4 burner griddle and is willing to pay there price for it. However it is a lot more than blackstones right now so if someone didn't want to pay that much I would tell them youre fine getting a blackstone, they are very good. As for 2 burner griddles I think the blackstone adventure ready that I have is the best 2 burner griddle because it's so portable. Overall I don't have any loyalty to any brands and I think all the griddles work just fine as long as you take care of them. It's just a matter of how much do you want to spen and how big of a griddle do you want.

I'm eaten' real healthy on my griddle now annnddd here is some soda bread lol....Kudos man, jk with ya! Great lineup!
Thanks!
Those ALDI buns are the bomb! In the frozen section there are some pre made sausage patties that are really good!
Love me some Aldi.
Great channel!! Have had a Blackstone for a little while now, but didn’t do as much research as I should have! These videos are informative, amusing, and delicious!
Thanks Jeff I'm so happy that they've been helpful and entertaining.
Good video Fujita would have to be in my top 5.
Ya I had to make some hard cuts it really was difficult. Thanks for watching Jake.
I should have waited on my comment, but FREEDOM CHEESE 🧀 ❤ MERICA!!!
😁😁😁
You need to try a pork roll or it's also called Taylor ham egg and cheese samich good stuff
That sounds good Patrick, how do you make it? Is it just a grilled ham n cheese adding a fried egg?
Shhhh! Fried rice secret....add oyster sauce also. Few tablespoons near end.
Thanks Mike I will give that a try for sure.
There is no doubt that the griddle is a breakfast making machine. Sometimes I'm out on the back porch at 3 in the morning griddling up some corned beef hash and a couple of over-easy eggs to have before I leave for work.
3 am that's dedication Steb!!! I also love the corned beef hash. Thanks for watching again brother, have a good one.
😎👍 Outstanding list Johnny! Love it. Given me a checklist of grillin’ to-dos. ✅ And, yeh, I’m adding beans to my morning routine now. 😂👍
Keep up the great work buddy!
Thanks Will! I always appreciate you watching buddy.
Just got a Blackstone 28 inch griddle. Glad to have found your channel. Great tips. Seasoning mine today and have fajitas ready for tonight.
Hey congrats on the new griddle!! Im glad you find my channel too and appreciate you watching. Fajitas is a great first cook!
I appreciate you watching man.
youre the best
Thanks.
Happy New Year
-Bill
Hey Bill long time no talk. Thanks so much I can't believe how the channel has grown. That's awesome you're going to get a griddle! I remember you talking about it last summer. Happy New Year's buddy, let me know once you get that griddle.
Love it, keep it up
Thanks Steve!
Awesome
Thank you sir 👍
You're welcome Hugh, thank you for watching.
Hello! I'm new to my Blackstone grill. I love your videos and your sense of humor. I was wondering where you got your small cooling rack? I have only found large ones.
Hey thanks so much for watching and I'm glad you like the videos. I got the rack off of Amazon, here is the link.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 ya my name is French but there's a lot of Irish on my dad's side. They're from Boston.
Santa 🎅 Clause had it coming.
🤣🤣🤣
I will eat almost anything with grill onions involved. Mmmm
Same here Grodin.
@@JohnnyBrunet Yep fresh beans in a little oil and salt and pepper, let them get a little crispy. If you like green beans you'll love these.
wow it looks delicious, yummy,
loved watching it till the end,
it shows your hard work,
keep sharing such lovely dishes,
ur friend here,
Hope to see you around friend
BIG LIKE.

Thanks so much for watching.
I promise

Thanks so much I will definitely check it out!
Ya it's hard to put them in order that's for sure. That croissant sandwich sounds great!
Thanks for the info! Where did you get your warming rack?
You're welcome. I got it from a restaurant supply store but sometimes you can also find them in Amazon. I think it's under 5 by 7 warming rack.
I'm thinking Reuben sandwiches....
Man I also love a good Reuben Kevin.
I see you have the Blackstone and Camp Chef... Which one would you keep if you HAD to throw one away.
